The Green Knight  by Le Rouret 7 Review(s)
MirariReviewed Chapter: 21 on 1/22/2004
This is an amazing tale you've woven.

Yes, you've done it - you've beaten out all of my favorite works of fanfiction and taken the official position as Mirari's Favorite Fic. I'm adoring this story. Everything... everything is so beautifully in-canon, and your writing honestly flows like poetry. The characters are so incredibly true to themselves; it's such a joy to read. I'm gobbling up each chapter in ecstasy.

This is the essence of Tolkien. Gorgeous.

Thank you for providing me with an added bit of joy in my day - every time you update. ^^

Aww Leggy made a friend!! Go you!

*squeals with pleasure and leans forward in seat rubbing hands together*

This is getting good...ON WITH THE NEXT CHAPTER! Let's see the Green Knight kick some butt!

Poor Híldaf! But at least someone tried to come to Bandy's rescue (or pretended to have done so). With everything that is amiss, I find it hard to trust anyone (safe the accomplished heroes of the War of the Ring, of course). But then, Híldaf's injuries seem real enough.

And then there are those strangers who have pitched up their tents in the southern reaches of the Entwash, if Aldamir's reports are to be trusted. But he seems to be an honourable man, unlike Egalmoth, whom I like less and less. I wonder how well he will fare in keeping Éowyn from following her husband.

Hmm, I see you have completed that correspondence course from Melkor and Morgoth University? The one entitled "Fell Cliffhangers and the Effect upon the Reader"?

Bandy is still in the soup! Albeit, Elf-Boy is off in pursuit on that sweetie pie of a destrier but still Bandy might be a mushroom souffle before he gets to him. I am off to borrow that fiery Balrog whip from Glorfindel. See that you get busy on an update.

Humble Scribe to his Majesty Thranduil

Yay! They are going to rescue Bandy. That makes me feel much better.

Oh, Egalmoth is looking mighty suspicious. And of course they took Bandobras precisely so that Legolas would come after him alone and fall into their trap. But I maintain that he may yet prove more than they can handle.

His reaction was perfect, though he did maintain presence of mind enough to keep his armour on. Or was it just that he didn't have the time to pull of his helmet? Seems like he'd want to be able to see clearly, if he's going to be tracking the abductors.

Thank you for the fairly swift update -- I've been on tenterhooks waiting to see what happens next. And now of course the clamor will go up for more, quickly! But I'll be patient. It takes time to craft such a beautifully woven and intricate chapter, and I appreciate the effort you make with each one. Marvelously done. Thank you so much.

Ai Elbereth, I knew it would be ugly when Legolas found out. Shades of Thranduil. What he wouldn't give now to be armed like an elven knight rather than a green showpiece! Anyhow, it seems they have more loose ends turning up than they can tie off. Everyone there for a tournament has to be royally peeved by now, rather like trying to watch a movie when the phone keeps ringing, only more so. ;)
I'm still worried about Bandy, but glad to see something is being done about it already. Good old Hildaf.
