I am really enjoying Maidhien as a character, and especially her relationship to Thranduil's family. I do miss seeing Legolas and Thranduil interact, though. I hope more of that is coming up :)

One day, I will find time to add all the 'Interrupted Journeys' series to my favorites :) Until then, I'd just like to say that you're a great writer, and I can't wait to read the rest of the series too! Especially to find out who did mother Legolas' sweet little girl in the very first chapter of the series, and what happened to her... Somehow it's not looking to be Aewen, but you never know!

It's so different and very interesting to see Legolas as a teenager, almost of age, and being really mature, but at the same time relapsing into mindsets we can all relate to :) And your characterizations great, Legolas and Thranduil and everyone has a believable personality. Plus all the the little romances were so sweet, can't wait til Leggles ( xD how cute!) goes through romance like Thrandil and Lindomiel did, because I found it so real and just lovely :)

Wow Elliska, I just found this story. Obviously been away from SoA and fanfic for awhile. I loved this! I hope you have more chapters coming!

UH oh, the plot is thickening, and now we are left waiting! I do not like how this sounds and I do not like that Maidhien may seem to be getting in deep waters and being too confident of her own forces!

I think Thranduil is right that Aradunnon's children really "disappointed" their father in their way with the ladies, so it's somehow safe that he isn't around to encourage Legolas, LOL.

I missed Dolgailon here, but seeing how things are evolving, I fear there's some angst coming up for him...poor Tulus as well...

Thank you elliska, I really enjoyed having again a story to look forward to! :-)

I found the Queen's concern about Maidhien very touching. BUt she certainly is a stubborn little girl, so she'll be ok with any task as long as she's convinced she wants to do that. Legolas , on the other hand, hasn't been so lucky.

Sorry I haven't been reviewing. I have been reading and enjoying it. Legolas (and even Galithil) are very grown up in this one. It certainly is a terrible age, the first attempts at dating. Legolas got some privileges in the last story for being the king's son. Now he sees some of the down sides. Inevitable, I suppose.

But the worst development is that the children seem to now be involved in the plotting against Thranduil. And Tulus really made a mistake here, didn't he, at the end. Telling his son that Thranduil is setting a trap. Obviously that is privileged information and he just made sure it would go straight back to everyone the trap is being set for. I hope he is on the 'right' side of things and not just a better actor than the others.

Looking forward to the next part.

This is a good story. I wish it were not a cliffhanger! Please do write the sequel quickly. I have liked all your stories in this series. Keep going - soon, please.

So soon? Hope that the next part comes fast.

I feel so sorry for Tulus, his son is a problem, I recall that Glilivan was a dear friend to Dolgailon, how he felt betrayed and then how he didn't believe at the end that he was a traitor. I even can justify why he took that path, but by now, he should have repent and follow his adar's steps. What a mess.

Love Legolas and Thranduil interaction, so hard to be a prince and to understand that not everybody is prepare for the responsibilities, so clueless, he even see it as a honor, not a burden. Poor guy, it will be hard to find a bride.

Thanks Elliska, hurry up with the next part!

another great chapter! I loved Thranduil's talk w/ Legolas and Legolas' visit with Aewen and can't wait to read what kind of trouble Dannenion is about to get himself and others in :D

Once there, he unstrung his bow, unbuckled his quiver and laid them both on its surface. He removed his knives and their sheaths from his belt and boot and placed them on the table as well. With a grin, he reached into the pocket of his tunic and pulled out a gold coin. He looked at it a moment and then slid it under one of the sheaths. Then he turned to walk towards his washroom while working to unfasten his tunic

I liked the intimate little details here. Legolas feels very unselfconscious and at home. Until his father makes himself known, of course. Bad moment! I suppose Thranduil's suspicions of what happened are normal enough, but I still feel bad that he judged Legolas more harshly than he deserved. Not that he was being a Very Good Boy or anything, but he wasn't taking advantage of anyone. I liked the discussion of what the coin was worth. I think this came up in an earlier chapter too--one of his friends saying he or his father had no use for gold. It's a very different kind of society, and you can see how Legolas in particular might not understand how much that coin would mean to someone. Thranduil was a good king to see to it that the First Year would be taken care of. And in the end, he does tell Legolas that he's proud of him for more than one thing.

I fully understand Legolas's reluctance to talk about Aewen. He must feel sad and humiliated both, and the fewer people who know about it, the better it would seem. But Thranduil came through and his advice to talk to Aewen worked out.

Thank goodness Tulus decided to stay on as Legolas's guard. He's much better than Belloth would be. Much! But it doesn't sound like Glilivan is being particularly wise.

Now what could the meeting that's happening later be about? Maybe telling the boys about the threat to Galithil? I suppose I'll just have to wait for the next story to find out.

I was very happy to see this today. When I got home from the mountains and didn't see a new chapter, I hurried to see if maybe this story had ended and I'd missed it.
