Lords of Gondor  by Linaewen 4 Review(s)

I never thought of it until now, but both Boromir and Denethor are very much alike in their determination to use all means at their disposal to save their land. For Denethor, that means using the Palantir beyond the bounds of safety. For Boromir, it means reaching for the ring (which is ABSOLUTELY not safe). Like father, like son. They are so very human.

So glad to find a new chapter of this wonderful tale had been submitted.

Linhir's wisdom is just what Boromir needed. Denethor and Faramir consoling each other is how I imagined things should have been.

I am reading your other stories also. How do you find the time? They're all so good.

Linhir's advice is truly wise, and I do hope Boromir takes it to heart. And back at home his brother and father are finding themselves thrust upon one another, sharing this moment of shock, loss, and grief, and finding comfort in one another. Now--if they can only keep this closeness going! And what will be their response when they learn that the news of the death of Boromir is--premature?

A really good chapter. Sad that the two drew the wrong assumption. I liked that Faramir kept the finding of the horn to himself, leaving any announcement to his father. A very nice touch. Alsp, I loved that Denethor had a reason for needing the Palantir even more.

Loved Legolas!
