Oh yes, Thranduil as the King of the Woodelves must have felt the reaction of the trees to this much-needed rain and rejoyced with them. Lovely, Jay!

Author Reply: Yes - I like to show him with a bond to the trees and the forest. I'm glad you liked this - thank you!

Oh, I really like this, Jay! What a relief to have rain after a long drought.... it gives me an overpowering urge to go drink some water! LOL!

I suggest posting it for Dwim's challenge about "Weathering the Weather" on the HA mailing list... her message was on January 30. It would be absolutely perfect!

Author Reply: It must have been a wonderful moment for Thranduil to feel ain after so long.

I'm reading backwards. Sorry. I really like this one too. I like the image and it is one I can really ID with, being a farm girl at heart.

Author Reply: Drawkcab is fine!

Like Thranduil, I love the feel and scent of rain after a long dry spell.

Very nice indeed. I do so love the image of Thranduil with his face raised.

Oh dear - wicked thoughts come with that..... : )

Author Reply: **Grin** Me too! I wanted to write more on the theme, but the word count wouldn't allow it ...

Farmers and foresters have ever so welcomed the ends of droughts, and it's nice to see that Thranduil is no different from all the rest!

Author Reply: I think he would feel the suffering of the forest more than most.
