The enemy of course is no other than saurmon the white. If I spelt his name correctly.
Great Job. I hope you write more on the Lord of the ring or even the hobbit.

I've enjoyed this story and cannot stop reading. You've done an awsome job and should write your own books.
I needed to make a critque however, I believe you placed legalos in a healing position where estel should have been. After all estel is the King who bring healing to his people. He have the hands of healing; not legalos. This is only my personal opinion and I'll keep reading, as I'm enjoying this.
Please keep writing more.

I'm glad I pestered you with my messages and that you answered, for this is truly a great story. I really liked it, and as it was much easier to read it was very enjoyable. Good job done, on this one :) I'll make sure to chek out your other ones.

Wow, GREAT story Sheraiah! I really enjoyed it a lot. It almost felt like 2 separate stories wound as one, and it was really neat. The orc attack to Leggy being healed was the first part and the attack on the Keep (and successive attacks on our beloved elves) to the end would be the 2nd part. Very well Done. I did think it was Saruman, only because the assassin had seen "a flash of white" from the cloaked man. And of course, leave it to me to question ages in my review 2 chapters before you explain the ages of Legolas and Estel! LOL And the 'face-in-the-mud' bit... boys will be boys, whether elf or human! And I really would love to see more of Leggy's visits to Lilia as she grows; does he give his blessing to her marriage to Daeren? (OK.. DUH! LOL)

But I have to say, I think my FAVORITE line has to be this:
“Come, Ada. I would introduce you to the remaining Fellowship.” He drew his father to the door of the study. “Oh, and Ada, please be polite to the dwarf. He is my friend.”
Hee hee! So full of meaning! LOVED it! :)

Wonderful, wonderful story my dear. Keep it up! Oh, and don't be surprised by the sudden influx of reviews from me-- a loooong, slow day at work prompted me to sift thru your stories and I read several that day... and am just getting around to reviewing. :)

God Bless,

Dayna :)

Where do I start? Sheraiah, this story is AMAZING! You must know that the "only" reason I started this story was because I was going to read The Conversation and you said I'd be lost if I didn't read this one first. THANK YOU! :) I want to comment on all the little nuiances in the story, but having devoured the first 17 chapters in 2 days, I find I'm 'forgetting' little parts! Grr! This is what happens when you read at work and then forget to review at home! :(

Your characters are so well written Sheraiah: I love love love love love Thranduil's watchfullnes over his injured son, and his banter with Elrond. He is such a concerned and doting father; I like seeing this Thranduil a lot. I like that Haldir's there, and Glorfindel as well. And Estel's concern for Legolas... so touching! I like the youthfulness you've written in both Estel and Leggy. It's very fitting and well done. But above all else let me just say that I love your Legolas. I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out how old he is though, given that Estel is there and appears very young himself. Elf and Numeneorian aging confuses me anyways, but I like the "younger" Leggy here. I'm guessing this must have been 30-40ish years prior to LOTR? Whatever.. I digress. Your angst is gripping and I'm an angsty kinda gal. Father to son, friend to friend ("adult" elves and "young" elves)... you've got it nailed.

And then there's Lilia. What a dolly! I like that she's so taken with Leggy and how she eases his pain and distracts him from his father's illness. I hope there's more of her impishness before all's said and done!
