Little Ones about Little Ones  by Golden 68 Review(s)

Very sad, but beautifully written!

I especially liked the repetition of the first sentences in the end. Although there are the same words describing the same scene, it will never be the same for Merry - without his Pippin!

A most moving possibility! Alas for Merry, left so bereft!

A very well written short-short story. It would be terribly hard on Merry to lose Pippin.

“See that spider web over there?” the dwarf responded. “The raindrops caught in it sparkle like silver does, deep in the mountains, when the light of my lamp shines upon its surface.”

What a wonderful comparison. It's like a link between mountains and forests, and therefore a link between Dwarves and Elves.

I like stories featuring Pippin (and other hobbits) very much, but I also liked this one :)

Author Reply: Thanks Andrea! :) Glad you liked this story too, even without Pippin...but under us... *whispers* .... Geschichten MIT Pippin sind doch die Besten! *G*

Ah! Told from the POV of one of the more aware trees in Fangorn! Wonderful!

See, you CAN do it, you know--write stories that involve other characters, that is.

Author Reply: I have lots of stories involving other characters :P just besides those other characters there is also always Pip inside..but its not all ONLY Pip stories..I mean he has to interact wirh someone now and then. *g*.
Anyway there just cannot be enough stories with that Hobbit!
Glad you like the story! :)

Wonderful! I love the POV character, and the descriptions of Legolas and Gimli!

You can write perfectly well without Pippin!

Author Reply: Yeah...but... I WANT to write Pippin!!!!!! :P
Thanks for reading!

"a chorus of friendship" -- what a wonderful phrase! A lovely little story.

Author Reply: Glad you like the line. :) Thanks for the review!

This may just be one of my favorites of your stories. I think that this one and "The Flute" are my favorites. This is adorable. I love Pippin's joy in his new little neice and I also enjoyed how he shared this with Merry. Very entertaining!

Author Reply: *g* Thanks GW! Glad you enjoyed the story. And Pip just has to share it with Merry, don´t you think? I mean its his Merry and it really is sad, when one will never have any nieces and nephews.
I can feel with Merry there!
