Emerald has got Pippin wrapped around her little finger! This was flufftastic! I also really liked the cradle song that you incorporated. Author Reply: Thanks Celeritas :) Emerald is a Took... that explains everything. ;)

Aw, what a sweet little story! And I think Larner used the perfect expression concerning cute little babies: enchantment! That's exactly what I felt when the wee little daughter of my friend was placed in my arms for the very first time. So cute! But like Pippin I was a little bit afraid. Now, she's already three years old - and still cute :) Merry (as Pippin's protector) had to find out that his little cousin was now a protector himself! Well, time is flying! And in the end Merry found himself enchanted by the little baby, too! Very nice and very true! And, of course, I recognised the song, "Schlaf, Kindlein, schlaf...". Did you translate it? It sounded very well in English! Author Reply: Glad you liked it Andrea! :) The song I did not translate myself, but found the english translation of it online. However I found it fitting. Just the last verse...terrible..something with when the child does not sleep and stops crying then the farmers dog will come and bites it dead. :-/

Ah--the enchantment of babies spreads from one young Hobbit to another and another! Wonderful! And did you say "pea-butt?" Oookay! Author Reply: *g* Yep Pea-butt! I found it fitting for the behind of an Hobbit babe. :P Thanks for reading!

How adorable that Pip was able to lure Merry into enjoying the baby as much as he did. Author Reply: Thanks for reading :) And Pip is good at luring Merry into something and I guess his niece has the Took Charme as well. ;)

Jana! This is absolutely amazing! You are a wonderful poet, and in a language not your own! The imagery just glowed, and your rhymes and rhythm were just right!

Sometimes, wonders do happen. They do, indeed! How very clever of Frodo to turn the writing lesson into a game. And the outcome was very funny. “Merry steps crazily on a cow-pat.” LOL!!! Just imagine that! I love to read and review all those wonderful stories here. When I happen to find a German one I'm really happy about it and place a German review. But I also know that for you it means double work. And time is precious! So don't worry, I'll be fine. Vielen Dank für die schöne Geschichte :)

Adorable! Frodo is very clever indeed, and it's fun to see the hobbits playing with 'plotbunny' and challenge ideas like we do. :)
