Ahh--he's managed to cross over into Faerieland himself--briefly, at least.

Lovely!

Author Reply: Yes indeed, he has. Paladin should have quite the adventure there, just like his son. Thanks so much for your comments and continued support - both mean a great deal to me!

Wow! That was written beautifully! You could feel the magic surrounding Paladin and Pippin.

Pearl's review made me curious. Did that voice belong to the oak tree or to a spirit that lives in the tree but is able to leave it? I don't know many faerie stories.

Anyway, Paladin has entered the faerie world now and I'm quite sure he will find his son. But I'm eager to know more about the mysterious Took ancestor who met Eolande, for example his name ;-)

Author Reply: Thank you so much! The voice Paladin hears is the spirit of the ancient oak. In faerielore and paganism, trees are sacred and they contain spirits. The oak is particularly revered by the fey folk as legend says the oak tree protects them. Oaks have many magical properties, as do other trees mentioned in this tale. You'll also find oaks in many of the tales I write. Everything in this story is based on info from mythology and faerielore. It has become a truly fascinating subject to me during my research for this story.

Paladin will learn more as he goes along, before he finds Pippin. He may or may not find out the name of the ancestor - you'll have to keep reading to see!

My goodness, the Magic just grows deeper and deeper. I wonder how much Pippin and his father will remember of this? But of course Tulip will remember everything. :)

Author Reply: You just never know about these things! But, yes, I'm sure Tulip has a tremendous memory, hee!

oooo! Lovely!!

Poor Paladin! I know the spirit means well, but as parent, I know he wants his lad, not strange teachings. I'm so glad Alfie is keeping an eye on Pippin :-)

Wonderful as always,Cahtleen!

MEWD!!

Author Reply: Yes, Poor Pad, I'm sure he will be so relieved by the time he makes it all the way to where Pippin is!
Thanks, Pearl!
