This is beautiful. Amazingly concise yet full of emotion. Wonderful!!

Author Reply: Coming from one who writes Pippin so beautifully, that is great praise. Thanks millions!

Definitely movie-verse.

And so Faramir is called back, and indeed his line is too fine to be broken.

Love how you worked the image of Eowyn's head on Faramir's shoulder into the plea for him to awaken and turn from the dark.

Author Reply: Yeah, I did write another poem in which Faramir is called back, which was from Aragorn's pov, but the tone was wholly different. Figured Pippin wouldn't be using such high-flown language, but would speak simply and directly from the heart. (Not that the others wouldn't speak from the heart either!) Also thought it was time I got out of Frodo's head for a while--been stuck there an awfully long time, it seems!

Thanks for the FB!

Please,
come back and be
a high and bright glory
to heal a bleeding land
and let us lay our heads
on your shoulders
and be your family now.

Ohhh, sweet Pip! How lovely.
