Hello,

how perfectly beautiful! Such a joy to read this expressive poem of Faramir's hope & love for Eowyn.

Excellent work!

What a beautiful poem, you have a gift for creating atmosphere.Thank you for your reply, I meant both the words and music of the Tristan und Isolde love duet.

Author Reply: Thanks again! wow, that's cool, that is some gorgeous music! *blushing*

I see I didn't review this one before. Love it very much. Good look at how Faramir and Eowyn came to accept one another.

Author Reply: Whoa, I think maybe I've got too many poems in this collection, I keep missing reviews...maybe it's time to start "Voices of Middle-Earth, Volume II" or something?

Thanks--what I wouldn't give to hear David Wenham read it aloud, in that mellifluous voice of his *shiver*

Happy, yes, but sad, somehow.... in a way I can't describe.

Author Reply: Is it because we would all wish for a lover to rescue us from the cage of our sorrows but don't get one?

Happy indeed! And just in time for that lovely change in the weather, when all the leaves are finally beginning to emerge...

I love the image of sorrow as a bonfire, and the picture of Eowyn's fingers as tender vines reaching out to Faramir's as though they were both soil and light. Another beautiful poem. :)

Blessings,
Eruanna

Author Reply: Thanks! "as though they were both soil and light"--that's a nice image too...but your writing is so poetic, it shouldn't surprise me too much:D

Yes, thought it was about time I wrote a springish poem, after all that wintry angst............
