Beautiful, thank you. Love the character 'Livwen' - what a pretty amalgamation of Liv and Arwen's names.

I must say: amazing, breathtakingly beautiful, supremely touching, fantastically moving, and a million other adjectives cannot fully describe this story. I started reading it only because I just finished "For Eyes to See as Can," but now I can say it is one of the most beautiful stories I have ever read. If you were to arrange your stories into one super long, completely amazing story, it would be the perfect ending.
God Bless!

Author Reply: I am so honored, Szepilona! Thank you so! My third story.

Perfect ending, though sad of course.

Author Reply: Perhaps sad; now you'll have to read "The Choice of Healing" and see that departure from the point of view of Frodo and Sam, who didn't find it sad at all.

Larner, another masterpiece! I stayed up last night as part of my celebration of The Birthday to read this beautiful, wonderful love story of yours. More, more, please! I know you said you were in love with Aragorn, but what love you have for Frodo and Sam and their love too! Thank you! I loved reading this in Frodo's voice, on his birthday. The beginning was so heartbreaking in that he wanted so much just to die, to let go. I love the TLC that Gandalf gave him - holding him in his lap and rocking him and singing to him and the idea that Sam was amongt those giving him the gift of the West even though "he'd have far rather kept you close to himself for cherishing." - I love the way you said that! So cool. I love Frodo wanting to see his Sam again and say his name and all the portraits he did of his dear one and the discussion of the Light in Frodo. I love the things Frodo brought with him to West - his baby cup and first top and Sam's gifts. As far as your preface note stating it was shorter than the original story and people would be glad it was, I give you a hearty No! The longer of these masterpieces the better!

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Thank you, Antane.

You will find that even when he isn't physically in Middle Earth any more, Frodo is still part of the stories, even when they follow small sculptors and Aragorn visiting Harad.

I hope you will enjoy The King's Commission, and then The Ties of Family, as both those focus on the relationships others felt with Frodo and how in the end they come to terms with them and his leaving. The Ties of Family has Frodo there at first, and then he's gone and the rest deal with his leaving and the extended ties he's left them with.

I enjoy your stories, and hope you will work them into longer and more complex works as time goes on.

Finished. This story, like its companion, I cannot define in words. But it left me with a feeling of peace. I have never thought before how Frodo might have faded and become "filled with light as with water." Very, very well written!
God bless,
Galadriel

Author Reply: Oh, I'm so glad you like this one also. It insisted on getting out once I was done with For Eyes to See as Can, and was finished in a few days' time. In many ways it's not as good as the first one, but is satisfying anyway, helping me to fill in the gaps as best I could, seeing Frodo finding healing and begin to realize he truly belongs here in Tol Eressea now.

Thanks for the feedback--it is always appreciated.

Wow, can't believe I didn't review this one! I think I read it at either the end of last year or the beginning of this one, and I just read it all again. As usual I'm astonished by the way you use narrative and voice and detail, but more than that, by the heart that goes into the writing...without which the story would be nothing.

I've a story of my own somewhat along these lines that's quickly taking shape in my mind, although it's vastly different, yet there are similarities also. We both seem to prefer to having him living above ground, I see--so many other authors have him living in a hobbit hole *g* But I think he and Bilbo would have preferred a "real" house by then. The idea of him becoming entirely a being of light doesn't really appeal to me, however; I prefer to keep him solid;<) Mine will be much shorter I think. Then again...well, ya never know, with me!

Beautiful job, as always! Love the bit with the comets and stars.

Author Reply: I couldn't think of Bilbo at his age wanting to dig a hobbit hole, or Frodo being up to it at first, or wanting to once Bilbo was gone. And I truly think that the Elves would at first have wished to have the Hobbits among them, and realized once they truly understood their nature that they needed to be apart, needed to be close to the earth and the gardens, particularly Frodo.

Actually, until he actually accepted death I doubt Frodo was fully a being of light--that there'd still be a solid core to him there to hold his mortality; that he only truly fulfilled that description as he approached the Presence.

Am looking forward to what you write, of course! Your way with words is so marvelous. I'm just glad that you appreciated my vision of it.

Well done, Larner...I love thoughtful, thought-provoking fanfiction, as this was indeed. Thank you!

Author Reply: Oh, I'm so very glad you liked it, Inkling. I've been off visiting one of my own best friends for a few days, so hadn't been able to fully update everything, although I did borrow her computer to add new chapters to The Choice of Healing while I was there. She's pretty shaken--just learned she has breast cancer, so we are all praying for her. This sort of hits home harder in the wake of that news.

A happy-sad ending, and an interesting change of POV. What a beautiful way for the Ringbearers to pass from this world!

Author Reply: I'm glad you liked this. I go into it in more detail in the next to the last chapter of my current story. I do tend to change points of view in the last chapters of my stories.
