Oh, that Pippin! :-P So much fluff (in the form of duck feathers, no less) that I may never be able to climb back out. :-) Seems like all is going well in the Baggins home ...

Thanks for writing!

Author Reply: You're so kind to review, I greatly appreciate it. I doubt I've written anything more gentle and fluffy than this story!

There's never any 'normal' trip for them, is there? Something out of the ordinary always happens -- probably because they're Baggins' ... :-P

Wow, yes. Animals can play that game forever (much like a baby w peek-a-boo) ... :-P Can't wait to see what kind of trouble their trip brings this time -- w baby Pippin along they're even more likely to find disaster. :-)

This was an absolute dear of a story. Well written fluff is perhaps the hardest of all genre's /because/ nothing in particular happens and you did a most excellent job.

Author Reply: Thank you, what a lovely compliment! I'm so happy you enjoyed this wee fluffy tale.

Remind me to give Frodo my recipe for Oatmeal Raisin cookies, with golden raisin and dried cherries.

What else would I do on my mini vac but read!?

do you think pippins admiration of ducks could be the reason pansy the goose is so mean---retaliaation? maybe we should have an enclave and discuss ways to smooth her feathers. just love these. n.

Author Reply: Dear Pip and his ducks! Who could resist this wee hobbit. Thank you, Nancy. :)

great story, loved the part with Aragorn's legs sticking out of the tent, and that Pippin only wanted stories about birds. I imagine that this birthday was so much better then Aragorn has every had while out in the wild. Hobbits know how to eat.

Author Reply: I agree, how could Aragorn have *ever* had a more interesting, happy, and well-fed birthday than this one?

:)

Sooooo achingly sweet! I love how Pippin was so openly affectionate with Estel and the little conversation between Bilbo and Estel, which of course is bittersweet since he didn't get to see the wedding... Lovely way to end this!

Author Reply: Thanks, Claudia! Toddler hobbits -- who wouldn't love 'em? Yes, I flashed back on that line in ROTK where Bilbo tells Frodo that he was planning to go to Aragorn's wedding, especially since he had waited long enough for it. It *is* bittersweet that he didn't get to see it.

A very sweet ending! Poor Paladin, though :)

Author Reply: Thank you! Yes, I'm afraid Paladin and family have their hands full with this exuberant youngster!
