Very nice! :) The love between Merry and Estella is apparent and it's a very nice picture seeing Merry with his new lass. :)

Author Reply: Thank you Anso! I'm so glad you enjoyed your story! Merry is very proud of his daughter, and very grateful for his wife. They are such a loving couple, it's so easy to write them. :)

There shouldn’t be an Elanor without a Niphredil, so far as he was concerned.

Beautiful! And they made a wise decision. For all children should have the chance to grow up with both their parents around!

Author Reply: Thank you! Though I think Estella was more concerned with avoiding confusion, there is no doubt that Niphredil is a lovely name for their little lass. I can see her and Elanor becoming close friends. And while Estella may still want children, she won't risk it if the healers warn against it. She does always have grandchildren to look forward to. ;)

What an awful scare for the two of them. And what a beautiful name to come up with. I had to smile. My parents named my brother Bryan and, less the three months later, my Aunt and Uncle named their new baby Bryn. My parents have always thought that they played copy cat but as my Uncle is Welsh I think that Bryn is only proper.

Author Reply: They are both breathing sighs of relief, and Estella is taking just as much comfort from Merry as he is from her. I had given Pippin a daughted named Athelas. It only seemed proper to give Merry and Estella their own elf-flower.

Names can be a tricky business. There are so many Bobbys, Michaels, and Roberts in my family, it's ridiculous. I don't blame Estella for wanting her children to have unique names. Less confusing, if nothing else.

That was lovely. I adore Merry and Estella so this was a treat.

Author Reply: Thank you! Merry and Estella are such a sweet couple, so considerate of each other.

Oh, this is beautiful and perfect! And you know I love Niphredil for one of Merry's daughters--it just seems perfect!

And I like Merry's logic: there shouldn't be an Elanor without a Niphredil.

Merry's worry is very realistic. I'm glad Estella did not argue with him about it--even if she does really still want another child, it's not the time to talk about it.

And the ending was so sweet. *sigh*

Author Reply: Thank you, DF! Well, I gave Pippin a lass name Athelas. It only seemed right that Merry have an elf-flower of his own. I imagine that the three became very close friends, just as their fathers and Frodo had been.

Merry does tend to fret. He won't be letting Estella lift so much as a finger until the healers deem her whole enough. Estella better prepare to be pampered! I believe she does still want more children, but they will both be happy with their little family as it is. She can always look forward to grandchildren. ;)

What a heartwarming, lovely story, though the worry for Estella adds a pinch of tension. I loved the last scene, with the two of them nestled together.

Author Reply: Merry is counting his blessings tonight, many of them involving his lovely wife. Thank you so much for reading! :)

Ah, what I'd give for one of his lectures myself! She has the best husband she could have, and she knows it! Wonderful!

Author Reply: I doubt Merry hands out massages with all his lectures, but I'm sure Estella will put in a good word for you once she's been satisfied with her own lecture. ;) Merry is a wonderful and attentive husband. She is a lucky lass.
