Finally, Pippin realizes how he feels for Diamond! This proves how drastic he can be, having to go all the way to Rohan to figure it out :P I sure hope to see another chapter soon! I know you said you have a case of writer's block, EEK! That's not good. I have nothing for you right now, but I'm gonna email you today...hopefully...lol. Talk to you later, Kate!

That was so neat the way you had Legolas' and Gimli's Dad's talking to each other in a civil manner! I guess if your kids are friends it is hard to avoid each other for too long! It seems like Gimli helped more then he may realize in getting Pippin to realize his feelings for Diamond! I can't wait to find out what happened!

So it took a dwarf and an elf to make Pippin see the light. I like that you included Gloin and Thranduil and that you have them getting along (though Gloin still brings up his imprisonment at need lol!).

Diamond's always been an elusive character, not much is mentioned about her at all. It's good you've given them some things in common that they can talk about, to bring them together as they help each other out.

This is a great story. I can't wait to read more.

Author Reply: Thanks for your review! I'm so glad Gloin and Thranduil went down well. I was quite hesitant about using them, especially Thranduil. I'm not so good with elves :P

Hopefully will have a new chapter out soon. I have no idea how long this story is going to run for!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
I'm so pleased! He's finally cottoned on!!!
I think you made the right decision to put the two chapters in that order, it kind of made more sense.
Am still loving the story, and can't wait for more!

Author Reply: He's not always so smart, that Pippin, lol. Now he just has to work out the right way to tell those feelings to Diamond, and considering how long it took him to realise them, it's not going to be so easy!

Originally, Pippin was going to come home at the end of "Living Without Pippin", which was why it was going to be chapter 8, but then it ended up being longer than I expected.

Loved Pippin greeting Gimli and his embarrassment when he realized he was speaking to the King of Mirkwood. Another good chapter.

Author Reply: I'm glad you liked these two chapters, GW. You should know by now that I'm a HUGE self-promotor. Anywhere I can refer to one of my other stories, I will :P I hope that Gloin and Thranduil went down well. It's the first time I've used them, and I wasn't so sure about Thranduil :P

That Merry is so clever. I love the way he presented the gift to the bride. I also enjoyed the fact that Estella knew what Merry was thinking and her reference to your other story when Merry fell asleep on her while drunk. Very nice chapter.

Whoever said elves and dwarves can't give romantic advice! I can't wait to see Pippin actually setting out to court Diamond. Feeling spoiled being able to read two chapters of this lovely story in as many days.

Author Reply: Everyone seems to think the elves are rather good at it, but I don't see why Gimli wouldn't be! He *is* rather infatuated with Galadriel after all!

I was writing these last two chapters at the same time - because I wasn't sure which order to put them in. I will *try* to get the next chapter out ASAP!

I guess it would be strange for the occupants of crickhollow to be one short! It is amusing that no one really wanted to attend the wedding, I guess folk get it in their minds that certain people are getting married and they don't like it when that changes! Looking forward to finding out what Pippin does on his little trip!

Author Reply: Pippin is also the type of presence that you would notice was missing! Hehehe, once I started writing about people not wanting to attend the wedding, I couldn't stop. There were probably more guests that did not want to be there than guests that did! Well, Celandine is out of the picture now, leaving Pippin for Diamond :P

Yay, so good!
Was beginning to think you had forgotten us!!!
I love the story! It's so cool!
Keep on writing! It's so good.
I've got a new story out, Whispers through the night. Got lots of Hobbits in...
Love Rosy

Author Reply: I hadn't forgotten. It took me a little longer on this one because I was writing it at the same time as Chapter 8, and I couldn't decide which one I wanted to post first! They swapped positions at least three times before I decided to post "Living Without Pippin" first!

Another lovely chapter. While there may be tension over Celandine's marriage now; I think it best for the long term. And although Pippin's absense was felt, his presence would have been far too awkward. Poor Diamond, I think she needed to get away to Long Cleeve as much as Pippin needed to put distance between him and the Shire. Somethings people only appreciate the value of another when they are separated; my parents figured out they loved each other in that way, so I hold great hope that Pippin and Diamond will have similiar revellations while apart.

Author Reply: I did consider having Diamond attend the wedding, but then decided against it. After all, it was more than likely that she would have ended up doing something *she* would regret. Plus, I was sure her brothers would have been missing her.

Pippin and Diamond are both to stubborn for their own good, and that's part of the reason that they aren't yet together, but I have plans for them yet. Thanks for reading :)
