| Intent on allowing Hurin's steadiness work to his disadvantage, eh? Hmm! Interesting! Author Reply: Glad you enjoyed it! I spent weeks angsting about what to write for this prompt, and days to get the ficlet done... I hoped to provide at least a small light snippet about the brothers, before they were embroiled in the war of the Elves. Here they wer just being brothers, with all the brotherly competition entailed. I was firstly inspired by a snippet in Silm about the brothers, of which I quoted in the notes to the story. It is as fluffy as it got in the standard of Silm! I'm surprised no other fluff-seeker rendered it into more than words in a book of gloomy events, though. (Or perhapsI just missed.
