| *Gasp* Faramir saying the Valar are not real? Never! I know why Aragorn calls Faramir “my lord” here, but it might not help establish a first name basis later. Unless Aragorn awakening him there (in 3019) is enough for that. “However, Faramir still stood in place. “Might you have a nice dagger or a dirk or some such? You must have one of those; Ada always did. And so has Borogond and Boromir even had one.” Aragorn rubbed his stubble. “Have you ever handled a knife?” “I have.” It was not quite a lie, but not quite the truth. “And how?” The boy bit his lip. “Thengel King let me hold his. And Boromir once let his sit on my lap when I promised to be very still.” Lol. Of course he would want a knife though. And Aragorn lets him! Liked the talk of Denethor and how he showed Faramir how to find mushrooms. Oh! and Aragorn calls him Faramir when it really matters! I wonder if any of Faramir’s Rangers find out their Captain could have been caught in a hunting trap when he was 7. Embarrassing, surely. Especially because if this was real, word might get to his father. Probably similar results if the SoE and the Northern Dúnedain find out about Aragorn and trap just now. | |

| Oh dear--a steel trap? Poor Aragorn! Now, how quickly will he find that stout stick? There are, after all, reasons for not going far off the path! Author Reply: What path, Larner??? This is poor Ithilien... beaten down by the Enemy and abused.... very little paths left, I should think. Aragorn's not going to be going anywhere too soon, unless Faramir can carry him! Ah poor Indis - sitting in Minas Tirith! And what idiot left a trap lying about - his mother's going to be angry! | |

| Ow! This chapter is waaaay too short, Agape! How dare you leave us like that! No chocolate chip cookies for you, dearie! LOL You're almost as evil as I am with the cliffies. Terrible to think that even so-called learned people would think the Valar myths. A sad state of affairs for Gondor if her people have stopped believing in them. Author Reply: Sorry *goes to her own supply of chocolate chip cookies* As for the Valar.... Aragorn will help our little Faramir unlearn the wrongs taught by his tutor... if he survives! *gleefilled evil giggle* | |

| Hm, how does the saying go? Oh, right. 'Out of the frying pan, into the fire.' Hopefully everything will work out for the best! Author Reply: Hahahahaha.... we'll see - | |
