Agape's Attempts  by Agape4Gondor 6 Review(s)

Oh my. At least Boromir saw hope before his end! And Faramir lived it!

But right now, what if Boromir adds to that song? Along the lines of what Aragorn said many years later?

Well, I suppose you could look at it that way! I am not sure the Valar are solely to blame it was more like six of one and half a dozen of the other! Pebbles and ripples wich are still rolling through Arda!

Author Reply: Hey - give the man a little leeway! Nasty old mountain. Pebbles and ripples indeed. Must have been difficult, though, to grow up in the shadow of the thing. It was not thus for Denethor - never burst into flames, if I recall rightly, until around TA 2950???

Hmm, interesting. I wish Boromir had gotten to see there what he longed to see…

Author Reply: Of course, the blaming Feanor was done tongue-in-cheek. But Boromir was right in the fact that the mountain should be beautiful and living and bring joy and peace to Gondor's people. I too wish Boromir could have seen that.

Thanks so much for your comment. Forgive the late reply, please?

I'm certain I read this somewhere before. On Fanfiction.net, maybe. I think I reviewed it, but I'm not entirely sure.

Anyway, just in case I didn't, I just want to say thanks for a funny double drabble. Of course it's all Feanor's fault! ;)

Author Reply: I wrote it awhile ago and put it on the HASA yahoo group site. Gald it made you laugh! And that too is all Feanor's fault :)

Boromir's love of his country and his people is at the very center of his heart as this shows. Bravo!

Author Reply: Thank you, ten thousand times!

I find myself giggling--blame it ALL on poor Feanor! Poor, foolish, great Elven smith that he was. Yet as it was Morgoth who lusted after light and not Sauron I think that Boromir's blaming Feanor for Sauron's choices as well as Pelendur's.

Author Reply: I definitely think he was, Larner; you're right in that... but it was Sauron who was taken prisoner and brought to Numenor - and Sauron's lies that brought the downfall of Numenor... Sauron was a Maiar... a servant of one of the Valar... therefore, in Boromir's thoughts... closely aligned with any who betrayed Middle-earth... and Sauron's betrayal led to the desolation that lay before Boromir's eyes in Morgoth... convoluted...

And yes - everything is ALL Feanor's fault! ROTFL
