Actually, can you also do a Remembering Day in Gondor and Rohan? And one of the first time that this tradition began? Author Reply: Hello! Sorry for this belated reply. I originally imagined Remembering Day as a Shire custom, so it probably would not be observed in Gondor and Rohan. I'm not sure when hobbits began the custom, though logically, it seems reasonable that the Stoors would have been the first, and perhaps the Fallohides picked it up from them, possibly around T.A. 1630 (when the Tale of Years says the Stoors came up from Dunland and joined the hobbits who had migrated from Bree to found the Shire). If the thought solidifies into a scene, it'll probably appear (eventually) in the "Marcho and Blanco" story that is sitting on the shelf, waiting to be finished. (Think good thoughts. So many stories waiting to be finished or told...)

What a beautiful ceremony shared by all. I love the Hobbits almost as much as the Elves. They're adorable. Glad to see food is close at hand. To many have died already. Tari Author Reply: Thank you! The food arrived at a good time, in good time.

And on this lovely and hopeful note, I am going to have to quit for the time being, and get myself busy. I have laundry to put away and (gulp) a Christmas tree to de-decorate. (I know...I know...) It's all your fault for writing such an engrossing story...(How's that for passing the blame?)LOL!
