Upon First Viewing Jackson's Lord of the Rings  by Lily Fairbairn
This poem is a blatant rip-off of John Keats' classic, "Upon First Looking into Chapman's Homer". I originally wrote it for TORn to celebrate the birth of my first grandchild, in hopes that he'll be a Tolkien fan like his parents and his grandparents. It's also a celebration of those 11 Oscars!
