bullet In the midst of summer Last Updated: 7/16/2007
In June 1482, Samwise Gamgee has to bear the fact that his wife has passed away, leaving him behind. Between deep grief and bittersweet memories, he understands that the life he was used to is ultimately over, and that a new way lies ahead of him (Thank you for suggestions, support and fine beta-work to shirebound and jodancingtree!)

bullet Harvest Bonfire Last Updated: 6/24/2007
This is mainly a Rosie/Sam-tale (though my favorite OFC Lily Proudfoot plays a certain role, and her star-crossed AU-relationship with Frodo Baggins is mentioned). In most fanfics Rosie Gamgee is portrayed as the perfect mother of thirteen children... but sometimes even the best mother needs some help and has to be reminded that she's still a lover, too.

bullet Hay and Clover Last Updated: 6/20/2007
This is the story of a young Frodo Baggins, barely of age and sharing a bottle of wine too many with Fatty Bolger... only to be rescued by a pretty young cousin, and to be gifted with an unexpected and very delightful experience...

bullet Taters and Thyme Last Updated: 5/20/2007
This was written for a challenge in the "shire kitchen"-community (and I've added the recipe of the lamb stew that Sam cooks during the tale). When his fifth child is about to be born, the midwife (Lily Proudfoot from my saga Before I go to sleep) sends Sam into the kitchen, to ease his nervousness by cooking a good meal. And while chopping meat and plucking herbs, Samwise Gamgee counts his many blessings...

bullet The Dwarvish Flute Last Updated: 5/19/2007
This story was originally written as a part of my Before I go to sleep-universe, a saga that tells the (AU)-love story between Frodo Baggins and the young midwife Lily Proudfoot. But it focuses mainly on Merry Brandybuck, and it stands pretty well on its own. When Merry is in Hobbiton and helps with the haymaking, he meets a beautiful redhead and tries to steal a kiss. This leads to surprising revelations, some childhood memories... and a Midsummer Dance where Merry doesn't dance at all.

bullet A Chicken for the Healer Last Updated: 1/21/2007
This is a tale that was inspired by surgicalsteel's ongoing series A King's Surgeon. Serindë's friend Yalië is "banished" to Bree (a result of her scandalous affair with Halbarad's brother Thalguron), and now she struggles to get used to a completely new life... not a simple business, not at all.

bullet Sweet Revenge Last Updated: 1/3/2007
This is the expansion of something Frodo Baggins mentions to Queen Arwen when he meets her in the Houses of Healing in the last chapter of my tale Keeper of the Jewels: Sam, slowly recovering from the dreadful days he spent imprisoned in the dungeons under Osgiliath, is forced to face an entirely different torture - Lady Ioreth and a terrible cup of tea... (Rated PG-13 for some "juicy" language. *grins*)

In the aftermath of Aragorns coronation and wedding the hobbits get involved in a dangerous conspiracy. There is an abduction and a disturbing mystery to solve, and the centre of the complot seems to be a noble woman, member of an old gondorean family, the Keeper of the Jewels... 1st Place MEFAs 2007 (Minas Tirith: Adventure)

bullet Tinúviel, Tinúviel Last Updated: 2/4/2006
This is completely Daynawayna's fault . She insisted that I should write "more Brego" - and who wanted me to explore the scene from The Two Towers when Aragorn falls into the river and has to be rescued... by love and a horse. -- THE BEREN AND LUTHIEN-AWARD (2nd place "ROHAN") MEFAs 2006

When Aragorn tames Théodreds abandoned horse in the stables of Edoras, he doesn't only win the heart of a horrified stallion... This is very obviously Movie-verse (because I love that scene from the Special Extended Edition of The Two Towers shamelessly...*smiles*)

bullet ... and hear the song of salt and sea Last Updated: 9/24/2005
Finduilas of Dol Amroth was only married to Denethor for twelve years before she died, and people said that she "withered in the guarded city, as a flower of the seaward vales, set upon a barren rock". This is a tale about her longing, her sorrow and her loss. (Rated R because of some disturbing moments)

Faramir finds out that there is something his heroic wife never learned, and teaching it to her is not the easiest of things... A ficlet between two married lovers, with a hint of humor and a rather unusual swimming-lesson. Post-Quest, but probably canon. *smiles*
