eliza · 8 July 2017 · Chapter 11: Keeping spirits up

A storm indeed. Great chapter Lai, very nice seeing the family dynamics going on here. Boy talk about horrible weather, and definitely didn't see the Eagle coming, definitely a surprise. Now I wonder if Galadrial and Celeborn are going to step back and let Elrond and Celebrian have a go at each other? lol, if I was Glorifendel I'd stay unconscious for a while

Author's reply

thank you so much, eliza. I´m gald the family emotiond came through believable. For Celeborn and Galadriel holding back I can promise nothing yet. LOL! A good advice to Glorfindel even if Elrond would not agree with you. Thanks for a much appreciated review. Lai

eliza · 4 July 2017 · Chapter 10: over the edge

lol, boy the youngin's (Elrond and Celebrian) are having a rough day aren't they. just goes to show you that no matter how old we get some times our parents still need to set us straight. Great story Lai, really enjoying the interactions between the entire family.

Author's reply

yes, they have I dread when Elrond learns that Celebrían is at the camp and when she is meeting her husband - huh, much trouble ahead. Wise parents are always needed, regardless the age and race. I´m glad you like my family interactions. It´s great fun to write. Thank you so much for a most appreciated review, eliza. Lai

Kath · 4 July 2017 · Chapter 10: over the edge

Just to say how much I am enjoying this story. Lovely to read fiction about the twins when they were young. Great tension between the adult relatives! Looking forward to the next chapter. Thank you!

Author's reply

I´m happy you are enjoying my story. Elrond and the twins are my favourites and writing about elflings is additional fun when strong emotions are involved. The next chapter is already on the way. Enjoy! Lai

shirebound · 3 July 2017 · Chapter 10: over the edge

Galadriel is wonderfully wise and strong. Celebrian definitely needs tough love right now so she can help, not harm, everyone's concentration and tasks.

Author's reply

Elrond will need every support he can get and his wife would do good to follow her mother´s advice. Her rejecting attitude is not helping matters. Thanks for a most appreciated review, shirebound. Lai

shirebound · 23 June 2017 · Chapter 9: A difficult endeavor

I can't take much more of the suspense! *frets*

Author's reply

you stand in a long row - I´m hard working on the next chapter but unfortunately there is always this real life...LOL! Thanks for your lovely review, shirebound. Lai

Ellie · 23 June 2017 · Chapter 9: A difficult endeavor

Oh my! That wad almost too much to handle. Is there any hope for Tinar? It seems that this cliff is thirsty for the blood of elves...

Author's reply

oh my I haven´t seen it from this aspect - yes a blood-thirsty cliff. I´m already hard working to rescue our dear Tinár, or is it already too late? Keep some fingernails, dear Ellie, you will need them. Thank you so much for reviewing. Lai

shirebound · 10 June 2017 · Chapter 8: get off the mountain and changing plans

And here comes Celebrían as well! All of Imladris will soon be emptied in this search. It's so sad about Asfaloth. *sniff*

Author's reply

let´s see how well they can handle themselves with all the "brains" on the road. LOL! Yes poor Asfaloth. It will be an additional blow for poor Glorfindel, but I have a little surprise in stock for him. Thank you so much for reviewing, shirebound. Lai

Ellie · 9 June 2017 · Chapter 8: get off the mountain and changing plans

This chapter is a sad study in the powerlessness of those who care very deeply. Help needs to arrive in so many forms in order to assure a positive outcome for all.

Author's reply

you are tight, emotions running high because of this helplessness and that´s more than understandable. They will need all help they can get. Thanks for a most appreciated review, Ellie. Lai

eliza · 5 June 2017 · Chapter 7: Continuing on

Yea!! the Calvary has arrived. Always enjoy seeing Celeborn, he always seems like a port of calm during a storm. Now as for Galadriel, lol maybe because I have "nosey mother in law" syndrome, Elrond should have told her to "stuff" it. How is it her job to calm her daughter down or to reprimand anyone? this is a married couple fight, I bet she'd skewer anyone who dared to comment on her and Celeborn's relationship. loving this story Laikwalasse. can't wait for the next chapter

Author's reply

You are right, Celeborn is the right choice to bring some calm in the heated atmosphere. I think we all have "nosey mother in law" syndrom. LOL! But Galadriel is Galadriel, right? And her daughter takes 100% after her as you will see in the next chapter. Elrond will have to make clear his stand; but I have faith in him. His problems with his wife is not her concern. I´m glad you love this story and for every of your reviews. Thank you. Lai

demeter d · 4 June 2017 · Chapter 7: Continuing on

Well, met, Celeborn, indeed. Celeborn The Wise has come prepared. And again, our Balrog Slayer has taken the advice to heart, and given aid without his body leaving the ledge. His first appearance to save Elrohir from the orcs reminded me of the scene in "Fellowship" at the Ford of Bruinen. Frodo sees a figure of blazing light, frightening the wraiths into the river. Gandalf later tells him he has seen Glorfindel with the glory he possesses in the Undying Lands. I also like the image of Galadriel's "traveling clothes". Somehow I can not imagine her in anything but immaculate white, no matter what she is doing!

Author's reply

Elrond has dire need of the reinforcement. I´m glad you liked the scene of Glorfindel helping Elrohir but I haven´t thought of the scene at the "Fellowship", but you are right that´s kind of similar. I could not resist to describe Galadriel in white - anything other is unthinkable. LOL. Thank you so much for your review, demeter d. I really appreciate it. Lai

shirebound · 3 June 2017 · Chapter 7: Continuing on

Hooray, more cavalry has arrived! Awww, one more glimpse of Asfaloth galloping in the sunshine.

Author's reply

are you sure that the rider´s is help they hope for? Asfaloth will be in our memories forever. Thank you for your lovely review, shirebound. Lai

demeter d · 30 May 2017 · Chapter 6: Reunion and a sign

Ah, ha, let's see now. Elrond had to shut Elrohir's mother off from his own bond, as he was rather busy saving their son! But I am sure the Mommy has her own bond with her children, as well. Since Elrond seemed to be having difficulty, if I were her I would have gathered up my own contingent of guards and come after! Now she and some of those guards can take that one home, while Ada and his people go after the others. I agree, tho. I hope Glorfindel has not drained himself too badly!

Author's reply

of course she has her own bond which she will use. To come after her husband will not improve Elrond´s mood, huh? But a very good idea and stuff for more potential of catastrophes, right? Thank you so uch for your lovely review, demeter d. Lai

Ellie · 27 May 2017 · Chapter 6: Reunion and a sign

Another evil cliffhanger! Poor Elrohir with his terrible injuries! I am amazed at what Glorfindel seems to have done. Ihope he did not spend too much energy in the venture to save Elrohir. I hope help is coming and not more hurt!

Author's reply

where is the fun without a cliffie? Poor Elrohir indeed, but now he´s in the best of hands and grandma will do all to make him better, I´m sure. Never underestimate the elves of old; they rerely show their power, but when, it´s amazing. You are right, Glorfindel should have more economized his strenght. Thank you so much for your review, Ellie. I really appreciate it. Lai

shirebound · 27 May 2017 · Chapter 6: Reunion and a sign

Whew, one rescued at least! What an exciting chapter. Glorfindel's power extends far from his physical body, I see. I really liked this part: The tree sensing the child’s danger lowered its lowest branch allowing him to grab it.

Author's reply

one son safe, the other still out there - poor Elrond! Glorfindel is always good for a surprise even Elrond does not expect. I always liked the close connection of the elves to nature - Elrohir is no wood elf but an elf nonetheless. I´m so glad I could fascinate you with my chapter, shirebound. Thsnk you for a most appreciated review, Lai

Ellie · 19 May 2017 · Chapter 5: a child alone, an unreal dream and a bad ending

The little elfling was being so brave, and then this... I hope Elrond will be proud of how his sons have handled themselves through all of this. Poor Glorfindel feeling so helpless.

Author's reply

I´m sure Elrond will burst with proudness, yet first bring them home alive. What an ordeal foe two elflings so small, but we all know what has become of them. Thank you so much for your lovely review, Ellie. Lai

shirebound · 19 May 2017 · Chapter 5: a child alone, an unreal dream and a bad ending

No, not more danger! Helping does not always mean moving, child. There are other ways to leave the cliff face. That's really intriguing.

Author's reply

I fear the dangers are not over for our two elflings and Glorfindel. Our favourite warrior is always good for a surprise, aren´t he? Thank you so much for a most appreciated review, shirebound. Lai

galathil · 17 May 2017 · Chapter 4: My Poor Children

Hi Laikwalasse I have not read or reviewed on Stories of Arda for awhile. The first story I come across is yours. I am thoroughly enjoying your new story. It is just a little different from some of your other work. Lets hope for everybody's sakes(mainly Elrond's) that certain children and elves stay out of trouble. Now if I can find a muse to help me write a training report,I will be very happy. Lots of Love Galathil

Author's reply

Hi Galathil, so nice to hear from you and welcome back. I´m so glad you like my new story. How is it different from my other stories? Angst, drama, Elrond in worry and much cliffies - as always, or? LOL! I fear for staying out of trouble it is much too late. I will sent you some muse. Love back and thank you so much for a most appreciated review. Lai

shirebound · 13 May 2017 · Chapter 4: My Poor Children

Eeee, so suspenseful! :O

Author's reply

thank you, shirebound but what is a story without cliffhanger? LOL! Elrond has really to hurry. The situation for his boys gets worse with every minute. Thanks for reviewing. Lai

Ellie · 6 May 2017 · Chapter 3: on the mountainside

How terrifying that must be for the twins! I fear for them and for Glorfindel. This does not bode well for any of them.

Author's reply

Elrond had better to hurry. All three are in dire need of his help, may it be emotional or physical. Thank you so much for a most appreciated review, Ellie. Lai

shirebound · 5 May 2017 · Chapter 3: on the mountainside

Not Asfaloth! *sniff* What a dire and frightening experience for them.

Author's reply

all three would need better news indeed. It will be a hard blow for Glorfindel also. Thank you so much for a most appreciated review, shirebound. Lai

shirebound · 29 April 2017 · Chapter 2: darkness everywhere

We cannot delay and a bit of rain will surely not stop me.” “Maybe that was Glorfindel´s assumption also and now he is in need of help. That's very wise counsel.

Author's reply

Elond is not for nothing counted among the wisest elves - Celebrian is well advised to heed her husband´s council. Thanks for your review, shirebound. I really appreciate it. Lai

Ellie · 29 April 2017 · Chapter 2: darkness everywhere

Wow! That was very tense all around. Elrond is smart to take some backup with him. I worry about what will happen next. Good chapter. I can't wait for more!

Author's reply

even if not knowing what happend - backup will never be wrong. Elrond (and you) have all reason to worry - LOL! Thank you so much for a most appreciated review, Ellie. Lai

Silkleaf · 24 April 2017 · Chapter 1: From one moment to the other

Eeeek! That is a cliffhanger, literally!

Author's reply

indeed! that´s my profession - but where would be the fun? Hold on, update is on the way. Lai

Ellie · 23 April 2017 · Chapter 1: From one moment to the other

Wow! That was a pleasant outing now gone horribly wrong. I wonder what will happen next, and I fear for them all. Please update soon!

Author's reply

you have all reason to fear, dear Ellie. The summary is hinting at a great peril coming over Elrond´s family. Update is on the way. Thank you so much for reviewing, Ellie. I really appreciate it. Lai

shirebound · 22 April 2017 · Chapter 1: From one moment to the other

Oh my goodness, life really can change in a single instant. How frightening for everyone!

Author's reply

you are right. Elrond and Celebrían will have a hard time ahead of them, and don´t forget poor Glorfindel. Thanks for reviewing, shirebound. I really appreciate it. Lai
