I enjoyed this reading. I liked the characters, I just wish it could have been longer!

Author's reply

thank you so much. I´m glad the characters came around believable. Sorry for the chapter not beeing longer, but all was said...LOL. Thanks a lot for reviewing. I really appreciate it. Lai

Semmley · 5 May 2015 · Chapter 7: a gift for the King

The love of family and friends has overcome all obstacles. A delightful conclusion to your story Lai. Thank you.

Author's reply

there is nothing more important than the tight ties of a family. Glad you liked the ending, Tina. Thanks for a most appreciated review. Lai

Larner · 4 May 2015 · Chapter 7: a gift for the King

An excellent resolution! Glad to see such an ending to the birthday celebration!

Author's reply

I´m glad you liked the ending. Eldarion´s recovery was surely the greatest gift for Aragorn. Thank you so much for a most appreciated review, Lai

Linda Hoyland · 3 May 2015 · Chapter 7: a gift for the King

A lovely ending to a gripping story.

Author's reply

thank you Linda. You have brought the story to a happy ending. I´m so gald you did. Lai

Larner · 30 April 2015 · Chapter 6: waiting, waiting, endless waiting

Indeed time and past time to move forward rather than remaining ever trapped in pointless grief. Hurrah that he has been inspired to resume his close relationship with his son, which the child desperately needs.

Author's reply

it was hight time for Aragorn to move onward and enhance the healing of his son. A nudge in the right direction was give and received. Thank you for a much appreciated review, Larner. Lai

Semmley · 29 April 2015 · Chapter 6: waiting, waiting, endless waiting

Yes! Great climax to this chapter Lai. The meeting at the Inn has been an epiphany for Aragorn and I look forward to learning how hope is realized.

Author's reply

Hi Tina, I do not know what epiphany means - LOL - but Aragorn´s eyes has been opened, I think. Now true healing will come. Thanks to my new turbo-beta-reader the next chapter will come soon. Thanks for reviewing. Lai

Linda Hoyland · 27 April 2015 · Chapter 6: waiting, waiting, endless waiting

I loved Aragorn's encounter at the inn. Poor Eldarion, but Aragorn must not give up hope.

Author's reply

thank you, Linda. Sometimes it were the little things of life that bring our focus back. Many thanks for a most appreciated Review. Lai

Linda Hoyland · 24 April 2015 · Chapter 5: a difficult endeavour

I'd be happy to help you with editing if your original editor is no longer interested. It is a good story, interesting and different that deserves to see the light of day.

Linda Hoyland · 23 April 2015 · Chapter 5: a difficult endeavour

Poor Eldarion and poor Aragorn and Arwen.I hope you will continue this.

Author's reply

yes, poor child and poor parents! Aragorn and Arwen will need any help - mentally and physically - they can get. The Story is long finished but my beta has no time for me and so I sadly cannot post. Lai

Semmley · 2 March 2015 · Chapter 5: a difficult endeavour

lai, you have portrayed so well the misery and fear of Aragorn and Arwen and the empathy of their friends. The twins have done their best for young Eldarion, so perhaps now is the right time for Legolas to appeal to the Powers.

Author's reply

I´m so glad the display of emotions worked. Not my usual playground. Legolas is surely at the right place and at the right time to do some good for the boy. Thank you so much for a most appreciated review, Tina. Lai

Larner · 13 February 2015 · Chapter 5: a difficult endeavour

It is now that estel is most needed within the extended family.

Author's reply

in fact, bodily ans spiritually! Thanks for reviewing, Larner. Lai

obsidianj · 13 February 2015 · Chapter 5: a difficult endeavour

At least Eldarion did not die immediately. Now the question becomes what if any damage was done. I can feel with Aragorn and Arwen. You did a great job giving me the feeling for how interminable the long wait for news was.

Author's reply

we all know the anxiousness while waiting and hoping. I´m glad the feeling came through right. Thank you so much for a most appreciated review. Lai

Semmley · 20 January 2015 · Chapter 4: disillusion

Eldarion responded well to the twins healing trance, however, there is no doubt they must operate. Relieving pressure on the brain will most likely involve removal of bone fragments, so the parents cannot possibly be there. Like Aragorn and Arwen, we must sit in the waiting room and fret. Naturally, I'm waiting on your next update Lai.

Author's reply

I can unsderstand Aragorn´s anger but it is the best decision to stay out of this, as the following chapters will show - evil grin. The elves will do a great job but healing is also coming from another source. Hope to see you at the next chapter, Semmley and so much thank you for a most appreciated review. Lai

Larner · 9 January 2015 · Chapter 4: disillusion

Apparently the seizure made them change their minds. May Este guide their hands!

Author's reply

they could no longer deny regardless the risk. They will need all the help they can get. Thank you so much for reviewing, Larner. I really appreciate it. Lai

Fiondil · 8 January 2015 · Chapter 4: disillusion

Hmm... first the Twins say they won't operate and now they decide they will. Not sure what that's all about, though I'm sure we'll find out eventually. They're smart to deny Estel access. Doctors (and Healers) shouldn't operate on family members. The Twins, at least, can divorce themselves from what is happening and maintain emotional distance while working on the boy. Thanks for the update, Lai. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's reply

even for them it is hard not to get emotionally involved, but their professionality won out to Change their minds. Estel has to be kept out without question. It will not become easier for all of them - that I can promise. Thanks so much for a most appreciated review, Fiondil.

Semmley · 3 January 2015 · Chapter 3: playing God

The gravely ill child, Arwen's pain, the healer who has laid a terrible decision on the despairing Aragorn, give this story such an emotional edge Lai. But, the twins have arrived unexpectedly! What may we expect?

Author's reply

to place the story on an emotional level was my intention and obviously it worked. LOL. Some hope has now arrived with the twins but can they work a miracle? Thank you so much for a most appreciated Review, Semmley. Lai

Larner · 19 December 2014 · Chapter 3: playing God

A most difficult and painful place for him to find himself. I rejoice that the twins have arrived so swiftly, while there is yet time. May the One guide their hands.

Author's reply

the twins will need all help they can get. Profession is the one thing but some guidance from the One cannot hurt. Thanks for your loverly review, Larner. Lai

Fiondil · 18 December 2014 · Chapter 3: playing God

I'm glad you're able to continue this story , Lai. I sincerely hope the Twins will be able to help. It looks as if everyone is hanging on a thread emotionally and the object of their concern knows nothing about it, poor child.

Author's reply

Hi Fiondil, I´m glad to be back. The twins have learned from the best but in this case they will need more than their skills. Thank you so much for your review. I really appreciate it. Lai

Marianel · 17 October 2014 · Chapter 2: long days and even longer nights

Wheres Gandalf or maybe better Radagast when hes needed? I hope some Istari can show up for this and help Elladan and Elrohir somehow with Eldarion. I like Arwens fierceness, like a lioness, and I know that protective feeling. She is magnificent and Im sure she will be important as well as Estel in Eldarions healing poor child.Fantastic storytelling!

Author's reply

I have not considered the Istari until yet, but that´s an intersting concept. This way I have always pictured Arwen; gentle but also fierce. I like the picture of a lioness. I´m so glad you like my storytelling and thank you so much for your lovely review, Marianel. Lai

Larner · 15 October 2014 · Chapter 2: long days and even longer nights

Trepanning will help the child. I only hope that Elladan and Elrohir arrive in time!

Author's reply

it may help but who can do this? and the twins are far away...... Thanks for reviewing, Larner. Lai

Fiondil · 14 October 2014 · Chapter 2: long days and even longer nights

Now, they just need to get the twins to Minas Tirith in time to do the boy any good. Very intense, Lai.

Author's reply

yes, nothing more and nothing less but Imladris is far away from Minath Tirith, or? As always thank you so much for reviewing, Fiondil.

Semmley · 13 October 2014 · Chapter 2: long days and even longer nights

Of course! the twins! But .. Where are they? Will they come in time? Tension is mounting. Great chapter, Lai, please update soon.

Author's reply

the twins are miles and miles away and their time is running out. Arwen is knowing that too, or? I´m glad I can hold the tension high. LOL. Thank you so much for reviewing, Tina. Next update is one the way. Lai

Ellie · 13 October 2014 · Chapter 2: long days and even longer nights

This is very tense and sad. I feel sorry for the parents.

Author's reply

despite all their power Aragorn and Arwen seem helpless in the face of such a tragedy. Thank you for reviewing, Ellie. Lai

gginsc · 7 October 2014 · Chapter 1: dark times

WOW! Painful!! Update soon!!!!!

Author's reply

indeed! Update is nearly ready, my beta willing. LOL! Thanks for reviewing. Lai

Fiondil · 28 September 2014 · Chapter 1: dark times

Oh, this is very emotional. Great start, Lai. Can't wait to see you put Aragorn through the emotional wringer before the end. Now that Elrond's taken ship to the West, you don't have him to torture. LOL!

Author's reply

You know me too well, Fiondil. Let´s see how Aragorn is playing along in my emotional roller coaster. I´m glad you liked the start of my new story and thanks so much for reviewing. Lai
