Larner · 28 May 2012 · Chapter 22: Halbarad's Farewell

Ah, but the gift of foresight was within the family, and was not always comforting. But Halbarad knew that even his death should in the end prove a purpose....

Author's reply

Yes, that gift can be quite disturbing sometimes...

shirebound · 27 May 2012 · Chapter 22: Halbarad's Farewell

Behind that door no turning back, And yet I'll cross this line What a noble and courageous man, who accompanied his Chieftain and king on the darkest road of all out of duty... and love.

Author's reply

It is really a pity he died in that battle.

Cairistiona · 27 May 2012 · Chapter 22: Halbarad's Farewell

That's just lovely! It's touching without getting overly sentimental. I love the line "But I follow, for you must go, And faith is a strong bond". That really sums up Halbarad perfectly!

Author's reply

Thank you very much!

Larner · 22 May 2012 · Chapter 21: The Song of Aragorn and Arwen

How you've caught and expressed their love, and with images I know the Master felt toward his own beloved.

Author's reply

Thank you! Tolkien's own love and its reflection in his stories is really inspiring...

Larner · 10 May 2012 · Chapter 19: The Last Mallorn

Most poignantly written, imagining the Elves and their small companions who gave so much now all gone, only the Mallorn left on these shores.

Author's reply

The Age of Men arrives, and there is no place for Elves in Middle-earth anymore...

Larner · 10 May 2012 · Chapter 18: War of Wrath

Ah, so well done indeed, Mirach! Love the rhyme schemes as well as how the subject is handled!

Thank you very much! The rhyme scheme is that of a sestina, with 6 repeating words at the end on the lines.

AleiTheLeaf · 30 April 2012 · Chapter 18: War of Wrath

I've been following this for a while now and I would just like to say that I love the masterful way you write your poems. The imagery you conjure up paired with the adaptability and dexterity of your writing style is simply amazing. Keep on writing! Yours, ~AleitheLeaf, a frequent lurker p.s. Halls of Mandos, Shadows of Nan Elmoth, The Ride of Orome, The White Tree, and the Dead Marshes are my favorites.

Author's reply

Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed the poems, I found it interesting to try the different forms as well! I won't post so much a during NaPoWriMo now, but I'll add a new poem from time to time =)

I'm glad it was recognizeable as him!

A beautiful declaration of how thought of her sustains him!

Larner · 18 April 2012 · Chapter 13: Halls of Mandos

Between Namo's care and Vaire's tapestries there is for some too much to be seen here, I suspect.

Author's reply

Those stay in Mandos for a long time, as well...

Oh my, well done. I really like that.
