Another wonderful story (even tho I am terrible at keeping up and reviewing). In addition to all the loose ends begging for another story, we do need to see how Glorfindel and Daeron progress on the road to love...and do NOT forget my Elladan!) :)
Author's reply
Hello ainisarie. Never fear, Elladan hasn't been forgotten. We'll see what happens with him and everyone else in the next installment (whenever I get around to writing it). Thanks for letting me know how much you enjoyed this story. I appreciate it very much.

I was glad to see this wasn't the end of the story. I'd like to see how things go leading up to the final battle and then what happens during and after the battle.
Author's reply
Hi Tari. If we ever see the final battle and its aftermath, I fear it will be in "Elf Academy Part 33"! LOL! Well, we'll see. For me it's not the battle itself that is of interest but the preparations for it and how the Elves and Mortals of Wiseman learn to work together toward preparing for the final battle and all the conflicts that occur between them. At any rate, I appreciate all your reviews and I thank you for taking the time to write them.

I FINALLY was able to get caught up just in time to read the epilogue this morning. A fabulous story, mellon nin, and the final line was absolutely PERFECT! I can easily assure your that this tale is one I will be re-read over and over again. Great job!
Hugs and Happy Thanksgiving!

Excellent! Glad each is finding his or her proper place within the community. And how, I wonder, is Finrod's wife taking the separation? (Hint, hint.)
Author's reply
Hi Larner. Yes, they are slowly but surely finding their place and their purpose. As for Amarië, we may see her in the next installment, but I make no promises. Thanks for all your reviews and your support. I appreciate it more than words can say.

It's good to know that Maddy and Sanderson are now at their side. They need all the people they can get. Nice ending, too, showing how Alex is starting a new life.
I was quite shocked to see that the new chapter was an epilogue, this story has been so long a part of my life and has cheered up many Mondays and Fridays. Thank you, Fiondil, for writing this, and hopefully there is a possibility of Elf Academy part three somewhere in the future. You didn't show Elrohir and Serindë's wedding yet!

Drat! As I read the last chapter, I had this nasty feeling this story was coming to an end.
I hesitated to read it, being as it was set in 'modern' times, yet I fell in love with it. I don't think you have EVERY written anything that I am not sucked into, Fiondil.
And that is a good thing.
Very glad that Alex is following his inclination towards Linguistics. Glad to see him moving forward, but who wouldn't with the gwedyr and friends he has!
Love the laugh over Alex's mom and Derek's dad.
Great ending, but, of course, I want more! Greedy little sucker, ain't I?

Author's reply
Hi Agape. Well, as you know, all good things must come to an end, but at least I've left if open for another sequel, so that's something to look forward to. And truth to tell, I'm not all that fond of "Elves in modern times" stories either, but this story was begging to be told and I've had a lot of fun with it. Anyway, thanks for all of your reviews. I appreciated (and appreciate) every one of them.

Ah, good to see Alex back, knowing, how ever, that Artimus is still ready and waiting to spring into action if needed!
Hope he and Derek's parents have a good time at Christmas and the the Ellyn appreciate getting their swords back! Does Dereks Dad have his own Maia?
Lots of bows but still quite a few Tales to be told. I weill miss dragging my self out of bed to read this Mondays and Fridays!
Huggs,

Author's reply
Hi Lynda. Yes, Alex is back, but Artemus is not far away and is ready to step in when and if needed. I have no idea if Derek's dad has his own Maia. That would be interesting if he did, wouldn't it? And hopefully it won't be too long before you have something to look forward to reading on Mondays and Fridays again. Thanks for all your reviews and your encouragements. I really appreciate it. Fiondil! I'm so sad that this story has ended, but I'm expecting a sequel, you have left us with so many questions, yes I'm a very demanding customer....Really, thank you for your stories, they are wonderful.
I'm glad that all is peaceful, at least, for now. I will enjoy it while it last.
I don't know if you will be writing before the holidays or if I can review (RL in the way), so just in case, Happy Thanksgiving. Hopefully, you will have something before Christmas, it is after all, busiest season in Wiseman, all those winter resorts are in full capacity. Very, very happy for Alex/Artemus.

I agree with Lyana that Glorfindel's romance might well go pear-shaped. Our Balrog-Slayer is a real trouble magnet, after all. ;-) And it might be fun if Alex' mom is on hand to give the young whippersnapper some advice on how to treat a woman!

Nice ending. I must say I'm looking forward to the next installment already, and I hope you'll let the ellith do more than wedding planning and shopping for the babies there.
I wonder if Alex' mom and Derek's dad will decide to move to Wiseman? And if they do, how will they hit it off with one another, and the Elves? It would be fun if the two old farts decide that they like each other, and start dating. It might lead to some moments along the lines of "My mom is doing ... THAT ... with your dad???" moments for Alex. And the follow-up might get so full of courting couples that you'll stumble over at least one every time you turn around. Especially if Alex or Derek also get sweethearts... ;-)
(Ooops - did I happen to slip another plotbunny into the overflowing cage?)
And what's up next?
Author's reply
Hi Sunny. Hopefully the ellith (or some of them) will have more "air time" in the next installment. With such a large cast of characters, it's hard to write about them all and most are and will remain in the background as a supporting cast, so to speak. At any rate, thanks for reviewing and I'm glad you are looking forward to the next installment. As for what's next... that's a surprise. *grin*

Thank you so very much for your hard work that keeps so many of us happy. I will eagerly wait whatever you write next, but I want you to know that you are truly appreciated. Hope all you love have a wonderful holiday season.

Hi UTfrog. Oh, there'll be a sequel, never fear, and a Christmas short story with the swords may well be in the ofting and if not, then it will definitely be part of the next installment. We'll have to see how cooperative the Muse is with all this.

So sad. This is the final chapter. A few loose ends, but nothing major. Would love to hear about Elrohir and Serinde's wedding, the birth of Amroth's and Nimrodel's twins, and the new relationships building with the Wiseman and Valinorian Elves. Maybe another sequel with more twists? LOL I really enjoyed your Elf Academy stories and have even gone back to read some of the other stories that tie in to these stories. My favorites are the "Elf Interrupted" stories part 1 & 2, "Findarato Diaries" and "A Long Expected Wedding".
I would also like to see more on Alex, Derek and many of the other characters that just came to Wiseman. Thank you for your wonderful stories, they kept me coming back, especially the cliffhangers. Good luck with your future stories.

Hi Clouded Leopard. The final chapter is always sad even when it's a happy ending. *grin* I"m glad you enjoyed this story and enjoyed re-reading the older stories that sort of tie into this one. Yay Alex! And I'm very happy to see Maddy and Sanderson sign on - what a lot of information they had to absorb in a short time! I'm guessing the appearance of a Vala and several Maiar helped the process a bit.
Just curious, but are we going to hear about the fates of the Iced Agents in the Epilogue or will that come in the next story? Glad to hear EAIII is in the works. Weddings, babies, spies... what's not to love? And I'm sure that SOMETHING has to go pear shaped with the world's two oldest confirmed bachelors finally getting hooked!
This has been such fun - now to go back and read it start to finish. :-) Very much looking forward to the next project in the new year.
Author's reply
Hi Lyana. I'm afraid we won't learn anything more about the Iced Agents until the next story. And you're probably right that something has to go pear shaped with Glorfindel's and Daeron's respective romances. Hi Idril. Well, we have one last chapter, an Epilogue, for this story and then it will be a while before the next installment of this series is up and running. In the meantime, I have 2 other multichapter stories that I'm working on and hope to have one of them ready for posting after the New Year. · Chapter 85: Final Resolution
Nice wrap-up! It was really a foregone conclusion that Alex decided to stay in Wiseman, though. With all the things that happened to him in this story, he just isn't the same character he was at the beginning. And with Maddie and Sanderson in the know about Elves and such, they have some rather necessary allies outside Alaska too. Also, if one of the Maiar pops out of thin air to give one of them some information, or a piece of advice, they will know they are more than special effects.
So Alex is going to be the seed of the Elven Intelligence Agency? I wonder if perhaps Vaire will take an interest in him, since she was probably what we might consider the Valar's Intelligence Officer, back in the Wars of the Valar fic. ;-)
And while we are on the subject, is Melian going to pop in to look over her prospective granddaughter-in-law, and say hello to her grandsons - Elladan, Elrohir - and Alex? XD
It figures that Finrod would think Aman was getting boring, and finagling a ticket on Vingilot for himself. ;)
Are Elrond and Celebrían among the reinforcements who arrived? There are 6 Elves among the reinforcements that haven't been named, according to my notes. If not, are they going to be there for Elrohir's wedding? I don't think they would want to miss that!
Then there are a few things that have annoyed me about this fic - and these are things that you perhaps can do better in the follow up. Which can be summed up as, Where are the ellith?
EA1 did not have this problem, probably because of the much smaller cast of characters, and your other fics (except for Wars of the Valar, that is, and that one doesn't really count as the characters there aren't human - or Elven) have taken place in a medieval environment, where you can point to medieval customs and mores, which can allow you to get away with having the ellith do embroidery in a room that is safely offscreen, and just trot them out when you need a female character for something. But this is supposed to be the 21 century, right? With women having equal rights and actually considered to be real people? So why are the boys out having adventures, while the ellith are relegated to wedding planning and shopping for baby clothes??
The exception to this, Nielluin, was thoroughly slapped down, and I got the feeling that somebody patted her on the head and told her to go back to her embroidery, like a good little elleth - even though I don't think she is the type for that.
Then there is Glorfindel and Daeron and their prospective love interests - they have gone from staring wistfully at the ellith to snuggling comfortably together with nothing in between - and in an amazingly short time, too!
I hope you don't consider me to be overly snarky - it isn't meant that way, and hope these comments will help you improve your writing.
Author's reply
Hi Sunny. Well, not completely wrapped up as there is an Epilogue to follow. I agree that the ellith were left out of much of this story. With so many (new) characters it was just impossible to fit them all in and we will perhaps learn who else came along with Finrod in the next installment (I'm still debating with my muse as to who came and who has yet to come *grin*). Much of the focus of this particular chapter of Elf Academy was on Alex and the Agency and the threat of exposure and dealing with all of that. I hope in the next installment to deal with other matters that may not be as life-threatening to the Elves, including the romances that are only hinted at here, Elrohir and Serindë's wedding and what the ellith are all up to. It's frustrating, I know, but it's the best I can do, since otherwise this story becomes impossibly long and convoluted and leaving certain things out or only hinting at them does allow for sequels. Anyway, thanks for all your comments. I appreciate them very much.

Ahhh! they are all in the game. Elf Spy Academy, the new branch of the Academy. Glorfindel and Helyanwë, when this happened? We have been so busy with the spy drama that we missed the romance?
Good chapter, as usual
Author's reply
Hi Fantasi. Yes, Elf Academy does I Spy. LOL! As for Glorfindel and Helyanwë, that particular romance sort of went on behind the scenes. I hope to explore their relationship in the next installment. I just couldn't deal with everything at once, since the main focus of this story was Alex and the Agency, so I just gave hints about what might be happening when no one is looking. *grin* Anyway, thanks for commenting. I really appreciate it.
