I remember reading the first part of this ages ago, and it brightened my day. (And the naming chapter with pinecone is as funny as ever!) Now I'm wondering if a certain lake will be revisted... Man, I have to reread to refresh my memory on characters! Can't wait to see how the next installment plays out! ~Yours, Alei The Leaf (I'm a better lurker than reviewer, admittedly, but I can guarantee that I'll reading. ^^)

Author's reply

Hi AleiTheLeaf. I'm glad you came out of lurker-mode to let me know how much you enjoyed Elf Academy especially the naming chapter (one of my favorites) and how much you are looking forward to reading this sequel. I can promise you that a certain lake will indeed be revisted (and more than once) with unexpected consequemces. Thanks for leaving a comment and I hope you will take the time to leave a review every now and then when the mood strikes. *grin*

Hm, this looks like it could be interesting. Just who is intent on letting the cat out of the bag! Huggs, Lynda

Author's reply

Hi Lynda, We will hopefully find out the answer to that before the end. Thanks for commenting. Hugs.

Larner · 18 January 2012 · Chapter 1: Infiltration

And just who put these pictures into the hands of the D.D.? We is curious, isn't we, gollum!

Author's reply

Hopefully we'll find out, Larner. Even I don't know who may have sent them. *grin* Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it.

Soledad · 18 January 2012 · Chapter 1: Infiltration

As you can see, I'm quite late, too. We work in a two-week-schedule, and this is the more horrid part of it, alas. Anyway, it looks very promising, even though I probably don't catch all the hints to old TV shows - we saw very different ones in my youth. But I loved the descriptions of the people who worked there. The cookie part was particularly hilarious. I'm a bit worried about Glorfindel & Co. in the north, having caught the eye of the Powers of our world and all. But it would have been too easy if it hadn't happened, I gess. Looking forward to the revamped Elf Academy. Hopefully we will still have reason to laugh..

Author's reply

Hi Soledad. Well, "The Wild, Wild West" was definitely an American western and I doubt if it ever got shown outside the US, so I don't expect everyone to get the reference, though with the internet it's easy enoug to google for the information if you want. *grin* Anyway, I'm glad you liked the descriptions of the people working in the Agency. We'll see how things go for Glorfindel and Co. as the story progresses, and while this sequel is a little darker than the first, there will still be lighter moments along the way. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

Lizbeth · 17 January 2012 · Chapter 1: Infiltration

The excitement surrounding the continuation of this story is already sufficient to bring me, a lurker of two years, out into the open. I don't know if I can write any stories worthy of this site, but you will definitely be seeing me around. As others have said, I'm looking forward to meeting Ambrose! Meriwether is shaping up to be a very interesting character as well. Honestly though, I can't wait to see how Glorfindel and the others are up to... and who else may have arrived besides "Ambrose".

Author's reply

Hello Lizbeth and welcome. I'm glad this story has drawn you out of lurker-mode. *grin* I look forward to reading your reviews whenever you are so inclined to leave one. Enjoy the story and thanks for leaving a comment. I appreciate it very much.

Tari · 17 January 2012 · Chapter 1: Infiltration

I decided to forego re-reading Elft Acadamy as I couldn't wait to see what happens next. It seems the Academy is turning into a web of mystery. What will Mr. Meriweather think when he sees the Elves? He's in for quite a surprise. They would make good allies for him, methinks.

Author's reply

Hi Tari. Just couldn't wait, huh? *grin* And there is much intrigue going on. We'll see how Mr. Meriwether reacts to the Elves and what happens to him and them as the story unfolds. Thanks for reading and reviewing. It's much appreciated.

Rhyselle · 17 January 2012 · Chapter 1: Infiltration

Only you, Fiondil, could grab my undivided attention into an LOTR/SILM AU fic with a chapter that doesn't even have an actual elf character walking and talking in it (other characters talking ABOUT the elves don't count.) *grin* You did tell me that this one wouldn't be as light-hearted as the original, and I can see that it certainly will be dealing with much more serious issues. But I'm also expecting to find the perfectly placed tension-breaking bits of humor that seem to be a trademark of your tales. I'll reserve judgment on who Ambrose might be. Just because a name sounds similar doesn't necessarily mean that it's who one could be lead to think it is... *grin* Thanks for giving such a vivid picture of the secretary, btw. Having worked as one for 24+ years, it's nice to see Ms. Dunlap gatekeeping for the Deputy Director. The whole cookie thing made me giggle. And Artemus Gordon Meriwether (love the name and genesis of it!) soon to be known as Alex Grant looks to be an interesting character to begin with. It will be interesting to see how the power of friendship and personal respect will conflict with his duty to the orders he has been given. I'm really looking forward to Friday morning! :) Well done!

Author's reply

Hi Rhyselle. Well, the second chapter will have plenty of Elves and more to keep you happy. *grin* Actually the first two chapters can probably be seen as an extended prologue to the rest of the story, setting things up, as it were. And while this story is a bit more serious in scope it does have its lighter side. And hopefully, Artemus Gordon Meriwether aka Alex Grant will prove an interesting character as we see him trying to figure out Elf Academy and those who run it. Thanks for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it.

Erulisse (one L) · 17 January 2012 · Chapter 1: Infiltration

So here we go again, and they have a mole in the works of the Elf Academy. I know I'm going to enjoy the ride, but I can already tell that there will be many twists and turns in what will be a satisfying weekly read. I'm so happy that you've started posting this, I've been looking forward to it for....two months now since you promised me this would be your next story? Yes - at least two months :-) - Erulisse (one L)

Author's reply

Hi Erulisse. Well, at least you didn't have to wait another two years. LOL! I'm glad you are looking forward to the rest of the story. Hopefully, you won't be disappointed. Thanks for reading and revieiwng. I appreciate it.

bookworm · 16 January 2012 · Chapter 1: Infiltration

Yay sequel time! And ah, the joys of trying to vanish in a high tech society. Looking forwards to seeing how things go~

Author's reply

Yeah, it can be tough. *grin* Thanks for commenting, bookworm. I'm glad you're looking forward to the rest of the story.

harrowcat · 16 January 2012 · Chapter 1: Infiltration

My heart leapt for joy when I saw this in my in box and I wasn't disappointed. I have just got back from a nice mental vacation with Elf Academy over Christmas while I was dealing with my Mum,s death so thank you for both that and this. Aim sorry too that I didn't feel up to commenting on the Wedding even though I loved every word.

Author's reply

Hello Harrowcat. I'm so sorry for your loss. I am glad that Elf Academy and Wedding helped you through such a difficult time. And I quite understand about not being up to commenting. I hope you enjoy this sequel as much as you enjoyed the original. Thanks for taking the time to read and review. I appreciate it very much.

someone · 16 January 2012 · Chapter 1: Infiltration

Interesting! Definitely not the kind of beginning I expected. So at least one elf has been an agent (Ambrose = Amroth?). " "He knows what I look like," he said. "It’s been fifteen years and you are very good at disguises." " If only they knew that fifteen years and a disguise can hardly prevent an elf from recognising an old friend. This is really going to be interesting, and I wonder just who sent those pictures. If the Agency keeps them, the elves have to hide from newspapers and such for the next few decades, otherwise someone will notice that none of them seem to age.

Author's reply

Hi someone. Well, I'm approaching this sequel from a different angle to the first story and it will be more involved and convoluted. And you know me, I like doing the unexpected. *grin* As to the identity of Ambrose Elwood, we'll learn of that soon enough, never fear. Thanks for commmenting. It's much appreciated.

Caunedhiel · 16 January 2012 · Chapter 1: Infiltration

heehee I'm so glad you've decided to continue writing this :) I really enjoyed the last one and judging by the first chapter this one is going to be great! thanks for sharing Caunedhiel x

Author's reply

Hi Caunedhiel. I'm glad you think this will be a great story just based on the first chapter. I certainly hope so. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it very much.

ellie · 16 January 2012 · Chapter 1: Infiltration

What a great opening chapter! This is going to be so much fun...*grins evilly* Looking forward to the next posting.

Author's reply

Hi ellie. And you should know... *grins evilly back* Thanks for commenting and thanks for all your support and helpful suggestions. It appreciated more than words can express.

eliza · 16 January 2012 · Chapter 1: Infiltration

SOME WESTERN!! SOME WESTERN!! Just stab me in the heart next time Fiondil. I lived, breathed and slept the Wild, wild west and I was sure that I was destined to be the next Mrs. James T. West. LOL. What a nice treat to see what happened to our favorite elves play at being "elves". ** smiling gleefully*** I didn't think it would be long before some one turned them in.

Author's reply

And I wanted to be Artemus Gordon. LOL! It was a fun show and they don't make them like that anymore, unfortunately. Thanks for reading and reveiwing, eliza. I very much appreciate it.

FantasyFan · 16 January 2012 · Chapter 1: Infiltration

Well, this is an unexpected and delightful surprise. I enjoyed the original, and am looking forward to this sequel. Artemus Gordon made me laugh (Yes, I am old enough to remember the original. He was a fave) but you have me wondering about the identity of Abrose Elwood / Ryan McKinley. Amroth, perhaps? It would be fun to hear more about his story.

Author's reply

Hi FantasyFan. I'm glad you are delighted with this. I hope you like this sequel as much as you enjoyed the original. And Artemus Gordon was my favorite character in the show, too. Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it very much.

obsidianj · 16 January 2012 · Chapter 1: Infiltration

What a nice surprise on this Monday morning. I was hoping you start posting the sequel to Elf Academy this week, but I was expecting it not before Wednesday (I don't know why*g*). This is an ambiguous beginning. Artemis Gordon could turn out to be foe or friend in the end. Thanks for explaining the name. Never heard of it before. I love the "spy - excuse me, intelligence officer" thing. Is that from this old TV show? I encountered it in another TV show: Scarecrow and Mrs. King.

Author's reply

Hi obsidianj. Well, I knew not everyone would be old enough to remember The Wild Wild West or the character of Artemus Gordon, so an explanation was necessary. And the "spy - excuse me, intelligence officer" doesn't come from that show. I used to watch Scarecrow and Mrs. King but don't remember using that phrase. At any rate, I'm glad you liked the way this sequel begins even though it is ambiguous, as it is meant to be. Whether Meriwether is friend or foe to the Elves remains to be seen, of course. Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it very much.

Ces · 16 January 2012 · Chapter 1: Infiltration

Yay! I was hoping you would continue this story and you have. You've made a great many fans happy! I'm really hoping Legolas will make an appearance - someone needs to show up the twins in archery! Great beginning and looking forward to Mondays and Fridays!

Author's reply

Hi Ces. Well, I had enough people bugging me about it and I did want to write a sequel so I decided this was a good time for one. *grin* I honestly don't know who may show up in this story, so you never know... Legolas may well make an appearance. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it.

UTfrog · 16 January 2012 · Chapter 1: Infiltration

Wonderful beginning. Love your use of Artemus Gordon also glad you explained the joke for the youngsters who never saw the series. Thanks to you, I will eagerly await Monday morning.

Author's reply

Hi UTfrog. I figured not everyone would remember that particular show. *grin* And I will be posting this story on Mondays and Fridays, so you won't have to wait too long for the next chapter. Glad you liked this first chapter. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it.

Kitty · 16 January 2012 · Chapter 1: Infiltration

Now that was a bit unexpected - while it was to be expected that there are people going to be a bit curious about the ears and all, but sending a spy wasn't exactly what I had imagined. Rather an army of journalists ... That's going to be interesting! And that guy knows one of the elves? Now you have me really curious how that will go, if he's going to be recognized and all that. Can't wait for more! This is so exciting!

Author's reply

Hi Kitty. Yes, very unexpected and we'll see how it all plays out eventually. Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it very much.

Idril Celebrindal · 16 January 2012 · Chapter 1: Infiltration

Whoo Hoo!!! I am so excited!!!!! Thank you for writing a sequel!!!!
