Laikwalâsse · 2 April 2013 · Chapter 26: The Name Game

I hope the Valar can also do something against Farrell and not only confuse poor Alex more and more. How much can he take? Oh yes, meet Manwe himself....but in some way he already has while drowning, yes? At one time he is talking with "Gods" and "angels" and at the next time he has a very earthly problem: another agent who wants him dead. Again I´m not sure if I wanted to be in his shoes. I liked how Alex objected that he would treat the elvish names with respect even if his name only hold sorrow...Lai

Author's reply

Hi Lai. We'll see how the Valar handle things with respect to Farrell. And Alex met Námo, not Manwë. I don't think the poor guy is ready for a meeting with Manwë yet. *grin* At any rate, Alex is correct to point out that the students would be respectful of the names that have been reserved, knowing what the original owners of the names endured. Of course, I'm not sure anyone would want to be called Fëanor or Eöl, would they? I know I wouldn't. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

Laikwalâssê · 29 March 2013 · Chapter 25: Delving into the Past

until now I wanted to change place with Alex, but now...it´s really frigthening what´s happening to him. Springing from one character to the next if elf or human. I understand his frustration. Even the elves are surprised at this development, I guess. Very interesting chaspter and a much needed history lesson. Thank you. Lai

Author's reply

It is pretty unsettling what is happening to Alex, but it's all to a purpose, as we will eventually see. And, since they've never come across this phenomena before, the Elves have every right to be surprised. I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter, Lai. Thanks for taking the time to let me know. I appreciate it very much.

Laikwalâsse · 20 March 2013 · Chapter 24: Out of Memory and Time

racial memory? Never heard of that but that sounds very interesting. Oh I will quickly write about my favourite elf and maybe I´m some decendant of....oh, daydreaming again. Forget it. You are not willing to give Alex a breather? Very interesting chapter and Alex did something not even the ever balanced elves expected. Lai

Author's reply

Racial memory is something Jung talked about. And why would I give Alex a break? That's no fun. LOL! Thanks for commenting, Lai. It's appreciated.

Laikwalâsse · 2 March 2013 · Chapter 23: Reassessing the Situation

poor Alex, thinks he has learned the truth? I eager to see how he reacts in learning about the Valar and Maiar and being part of an upcoming fight leading ultimately to an Armageddon? He has only seen the tip of the iceberg now! Hopefully it´s not too much for a mortal to process but maybe he is really someone special, a late decendant of Beren or something like that? That would surely help. Why can I not encounter an elf? Only one, mustn´t be that much, but only one? (I would be very happy with Elrond - LOL!)THank you for another very interesting chapter. Lai

Author's reply

Hi Lai. Yes, he still needs to learn about the Valar and the upcoming war, but one thing at a time. As for his being a descendant of Beren, that's an interesting idea and we'll have to see what comes of it. He is certainly special, regardless of his ancestry, simply because the Valar have chosen him to join Team!Glorfindel. LOL! It would be nice (and scary) to meet even one Elf, I agree. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

Laikwalâsse · 1 March 2013 · Chapter 22: Revelation

the secret not a secret anymore! Hopefully Alex is worth the trust, yet he has taken the revelation quite calm. I would have freaked out to be in one room with so many ancient and dangerous people and yet how I wish to change place with Alex. I´m eager to read on how Alex will handle his new knowledge. I´m not so sure though if Glorfindel would let Alex go when he would tell all world their secret? Wonderful chapter and good to hear their real names. Lai

Author's reply

Hi Lai. We'll see how ALex handles this new knowledge in the next chapter. Right now he's a bit stunned and probably can't process anything coherently. Thanks for reviewing. It's very much appreciated.

Laikwalâsse · 27 February 2013 · Chapter 21: The Last Picnic of the Season

Alex will never ignore an advice from Glorfindel, I´m sure. Let´s see what is coming out of his new black out. Ambrose´s story was dark and sad. Somehow I can understand Glorfindel´s grim expression. The doing of Amroth does not really account for an elf, yet these modern times require different methods to survive. I was more shocked that an elf can come in a position to be blackmailed, but we should not easily judge them. It must be hard for the elves to survive so long in our complicated world. Lai

Author's reply

I'm sure he won't, Lai. We'll see what the black out is all about and what it portends for Alex. Amroth's story is very dark and sad, especially when he trusted Bradford with his secret and was betrayed. And it's best not to judge any of them, for who can say how we would've acted under similar circumstances? That any of the Elves managed to survive this long and be relatively sane is nothing short of a miracle, IMO. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

Laikwalâsse · 22 February 2013 · Chapter 20: Dancing in the Rain

poor Alex, the weekend isn´t over and he has already seen Glorfindel in full Elf-Lord mode and was taken away like Beren by the elleth´s dancing. I do not know if I should envy or sorrow him. Can´t hardly wait to read on but so much chapers still to go and so less time. Glorfindel´s apron was priceless. Lai

Author's reply

Hi Lai. Alex has been having a rough time of it, hasn't he, and as you say, the weekend isn't even over with. We'll see what else is in store for our hapless hero. Glad you liked Glorfindel's apron. I thought it would be just like him to wear something so outrageous. *grin* Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

Laikwalâsse · 21 February 2013 · Chapter 19: The Unmaking of Artemus Gordon Meriwether

I would go out of my mind would I be in Alex´ shoes. First he has to accept that all the people around him are somewhat strange, then his cover is blown so easily, his confidence shaken his looking at the world twisted. As much as I would love to be among so much elves, now they scare me with all the hints and shreds of explanations. Does Glorfindel really not know what happened at the tarn - that Alex was rescued by a Vala, yes? - or does he want Alex to explain and see the truth? It´s really not healthy for a mortal to be in the company of elves - wow they can shake your confidence! The conditioning thing was very creepy. Hope Alex can soon relax and change sides with these wonderful beings. What has he done with the room? He had did not fight agianst so many elves, had he? Thank you for another breath-holding chapter. Lai

Author's reply

Hi Lai. Alex obviously has some issues to deal with and Glorfindel has figured out from what Alex says that Alex must've had an encounter with Námo but will not speak of it since Alex isn't ready to listen to what he has to say about the Valar; he still doesn't know that he's surrounded by Elves. That will come later as you will see. And he pretty much did a lot of damage to the room when he exploded after Amroth used the trigger word on him, but now that has been dealt with so he shouldn't have any troubles with it. I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter. Thanks for leaving a review. I appreciate it.

Laikwalâsse · 19 February 2013 · Chapter 18: Conversation with a Loremaster

now Alex begins to understand what it means to live amongst elves - many mysteries and never a clear anwer to a clear question. Really frustrating, but that´s how they are and how we love them. Warding the perimeter - I had to shudder at that thought. For elves nothing unusual but for a poor mortal like me or Alex......? Again you have reminded how different the elves are from mortals. I like this the most. It´s another race and Alex is slowling realizing that - but I would go out of my mind with so many unaswered questions and on the other hand I would so enjoy to be among them - sigh. Liked the talk about Dante and his sight about the universe. I have never read Dante, but your description made me really curious. Thank you for a wonderful, interesting and very elfy chapter. Lai

Author's reply

Hi Lai. Dante is certainly worth reading if you can find a decent translation. You can read the entire Divine Comedy online actually and there are several different translations. Check it out. Daeron is obviously trying to lead Alex to think in a certain way rather than in the materialistic way he has thought of the universe up to now. Basically, he's trying to prepare him for the revelation that there are indeed Elves in the world and he's living among them. We'll see how Alex reacts once he learns the truth. I'm glad you found the chapter wonderful, interesting and elfy (is there such a word? LOL!). I appreciate you taking the time to let me know. Thanks.

Laikwalâsse · 16 February 2013 · Chapter 17: Alex Among the Elves

the dream sounds frightening and the intensive presence of Elves shows that it is not something to be ignored but maybe the Elves should let some room for Alex to sort his thoughts out. Their comments do not really help poor Alex. Nightmare or not, what would I give to be cared for by so many elves...sigh. Lai

Author's reply

Hi Lai. Yes, the dream was probably very frightening, and you are correct that the comments of the Elves were not helping Alex at all, but I agree, that it would be nice to be cared for by so many elves. *grin* Thanks for reviewing. It's much appreciated.

Kitty · 3 February 2013 · Chapter 86: Epilogue

Oh, so Derek got a job, and even a permanent one, already? Good :) We all want him to stay, too, after all, of that I am sure. And Alex's plans sound good. It's something he will enjoy, of that I am sure. Maddy did a good job, from the looks of it. Glad she managed to remove all these photos and other proof that Dolan could use. Hopefully, that is going to give them a bit of peace. Looks like everything wraps up well now. They certainly deserve a break! Why do I get the feeling there are a few couples in the making, and maybe not all of them pure Elven? Or maybe I am reading too much into that remark about Nielluin. Oh well, I am sure I'm going to find out one day, seeing that's not the last we have heard of Elf Academy. Thank you for another wonderful story, I enjoyed it very much (even if I was a bit late in reviewing). It was great to hear more of our favourite Elves and Mortals and their Academy and add more to the group. One story down, another one to go ;)

Author's reply

Hi Kitty. We may see evidence of couples in the making as the story progresses in other installments, and whether any of them are not pure Elven remains to be seen. I'm glad you enjoyed this story and I appreciate you taking the time to leave reviews, however late. Enjoy the next installment.

Kitty · 3 February 2013 · Chapter 85: Final Resolution

*grin* Yeah, that's what I thought, Aman has to be rather boring in comparison to the times of 'Elf Interrupted'! *snort* Alex Grant, clueless dude? He'd not manage to be clueless if he tried! But I like the idea of him working with Amroth and Derek for the Academy in the capacity of intelligence officers. Not so much for strictly intelligence purposes, but for safety as well. They know what to do and how to look for something and all that. The Maiar keeping an eye on the Agency could be interesting, you know. Maddy and Sanderson aren't as bad as they try to look like, so I like the idea of them being secretly helped and protected by the Maiar. Besides, with Manveru and Erunaro on the job, who knows what havoc they are going to wreak? ;) So I wasn't the only one worried about Alex's Mum. Glad to know if push comes to shove, the Maiar are going to protect her, but I'd prefer her to move to Wiseman. It would be good for Alex himself, too, I believe. Yay! Not only Maddy and Sanderson are in, but Alex finally said yes, too! *does a happy dance* That's what I have hoped for since early into the story. Perfect :)

Author's reply

Alex saying yes is what lots of readers have been hoping for all along, Kitty. Not that it will all be gravy for him from now on. There is still a lot he needs to work through to be completely healed but he's made the most important decision towards that healing. He will be a great asset to the Elves and hopefully he'll be able to convince his mom to move to Wiseman, but we won't see if he's successful in that endeavor until Elf Academy 3. Thanks for commenting. It's much appreciated.

Kitty · 3 February 2013 · Chapter 84: Court’s Ending

That whole story coming to light doesn't show the Agency in a good light, if you ask me. Too many people working behind the backs of others, doing their own stuff, using the Agency for private purposes ... The thought of an organisation like that responsible for homeland security makes me uncomfortable, to be honest. They seem to be too much out of control to be trustworthy any longer. Things are becoming clearer who did what and ordered what, for which I am glad. And I have to say, Amroth did a good job in telling that much but still keeping to himself that he indeed did murder Bradford. (Not that I blame him, that guy called for it!) Now that was fun. If Farrell thought he's drop a bombshell with the fact of Elves existing, he must have been so disappointed! And I totally loved how that priest dealt with Peterson. Just because something is in the bible or not, doesn't mean that's the whole truth, or necessarily still applies in our days. The fact that these arguments came from another priest made it even better. When you add Námo's words, I hope certain people are going to be a bit less hostile now. At least Maddy showed some common sense concerning the Bradford situation and Farrell's need for revenge. There's hope for her yet. The reason why Finrod insisted on this Court is becoming clearer, isn't it? People have a lot to think about now, and I hope they are coming to the right conclusions. The Elves don't need any more animosities than there are already.

Author's reply

Yes, the reason for Finrod's Court is clearer now. Much has been revealed that few knew about, yet what was revealed is vitally important so that the people of Wiseman can make the choices they need to make in full knowledge of the consequences of those choices. How that all works out (for good or for ill) remains to be seen. And the priest's comments on the bible are ones I've always held to. We'll actually see more of the priest in the next Elf Academy story. He pays a pivotal role. Thanks for reviewing, Kitty. I appreciate it greatly.

Kitty · 3 February 2013 · Chapter 83: Court Continues

Good of Judge Harrison to tell Amroth not to say anything. We all know he killed Bradford, but it's better he doesn't admit it openly. As they said, there is no proof. Love the idea of calling Maddy as a witness. Not what she wanted, but serves her right. There are some things that I hope get out. Now, Námo's entrance was a surprise; hadn't expected him to show up during the trial, and even less to say what he did. Not that I am complaining, mind you! The rest was interesting. So there are people at the Agency who are playing dirty and trying to deceive their Deputy Director, too? Her explanations how she tried to find out what actually happened left me less angry with Maddy. Seems it was not just disinterest or neglect of duty on her side. That Agency needs a clean-up, from the looks of it.

Author's reply

Tell you the truth, Kitty, I didn't expect Námo to show up as he did, either, but he's a law unto himself and I'm not stupid enough to tell him no. LOL! And you're right, the Agency does need a thorough spring cleaning but it's not going to happen overnight, unfortunately. Thanks for reading and reviewing. It's very much appreciated.

Kitty · 3 February 2013 · Chapter 82: Finrod’s Court

Can't really blame the three for being a bit dubious about this Court, as I feel the same. Finrod certainly made sure to give his Court some style, even if he can't hold it in the palace at home. Really loved it when Alex handed over his resignation. He may have said earlier it's not a job from which you resign, but I always wanted him to do it anyway. Now I just hope Maddy accepts, if she wants to or not. The revelation that Alex was sent to basically kill Amroth – as he wouldn't return to the fold – must have been quite a shock for everyone who didn't know. But I hope his testimony shows that he wasn't really going to do it – we don't want him to be looked upon with suspicion or even hatred by everyone, after all. Good question. If Maddy knew from the beginning that Farrell only wanted revenge, then this whole undertaking is even worse. Using the Agency to appease the thirst for revenge of one agent would be inexcusable.

Author's reply

Hi Kitty. Many were dubious about the Court, but, as Finrod will point out, it serves a purpose other than to exact judgment, which he rightly knows belongs to the mortal courts. Handing Maddy his resignation was probably the bravest thing Alex/Artemus has ever done, though he would not see it that way. And, of course, more is going on at the Agency than even Maddy knows as we will see before long. Thanks for the comments. I appreicate it very much.

Kitty · 3 February 2013 · Chapter 81: Thanksgiving Day

Poor Zach and Derek, it will take time for them to get over their traumatic experience. As Alex said, at least he's trained for it (though I wonder how hard it will be for him), but these two aren't. It's probably good that they aren't alone for Thanksgiving, as it seems to be a family feast and they are all alone. Speaking of Alex's Mum ... I've been wondering. These idiots were so hell bent on using him to get at Amroth and were thwarted. Would they, if they get off somehow – or any of the wirepullers in Washington – try to get back at Alex by way of his Mum? Somehow I want her to move to Wiseman, just in case. Things are affecting Alex more than he wants to admit even to himself, I think. But it did him some good to talk to his Mum, and I hope that were healing tears. In any case, I am glad the Elves and Derek are there for him, he needs them now.

Author's reply

Hi Kitty. Yes, it'll take some time for Zach and Derek to recover. And Alex is hurting more than he realizes. Having the Elves and Derek there for him will be a great help in his own healing. We'll see something of Anne in the next Elf Academy installment. Thanks for reviewing. It's much appreciated.

Kitty · 2 February 2013 · Chapter 80: Preparations for a Trial

The witch hunts of earlier times would certainly have been an incentive for the twins to keep their abilities to themselves. But I agree, they must have learned a lot the Amanian Elves never needed. I don't know ... unused to the ways of Mortals or not, Finrod's request is still highly unusual for our world, so I can understand Glorfindel. Besides, as he said, he has to be careful with the Mortals in authority, and this insistence of a trial that doesn't fit into their judicial system could mean to step on a number of toes. Seeing that Michaelson is already a bit annoyed with them ... I really wonder what Finrod is planning. Ah good, the bad guys are going to spend the holidays behind solid bars. Totally agree with that Deborah, the prisoners would vanish for good the moment they are released, and I am not even sure Farrell wouldn't again try to kill. So I feel much better if they stay imprisoned. *shakes head* Maddy seems a bit naive, or is it wishful thinking? No judge worth anything would just allow her to take these murderers and then let them go, no matter how much she wants to. She really needs to learn that her people can't be allowed everything, and that there have to be consequences when they overstep the line so badly. Counseling particularly for Zach and Derek sounds like a good idea. Glad Alex thought of it. For some strange reason, I have the distinct feeling that some people in Aman are having the quietest time since Finrod and Glorfindel have been reborn. Without these two around, it has to be so peaceful to be bordering on boring.

Author's reply

You may be right, Kitty, about the people in Aman have too quiet a time now that both Finrod and Glorfindel are gone. *grin* Oh well... so it goes. Thanks for reviewing and offering your insights. I appreciate it.

Kitty · 1 February 2013 · Chapter 79: Madison and Nate

While I don't like that Dunham guy, at least he said what I always thought – Farrell and his goons were way out of line. So I definitely don't want them to get off! That guy is way too obsessed with killing Amroth, and I suspect by now Alex and maybe a few others are pretty high on his hit list, too. He'd be a danger to everyone. Why do I get the feeling that 'Esther' and 'Nate' could open a mental practice or something along that line in the Café? They do enough work along that line there anyway. But it's nice to see them now and then because of it. Now that's an enlightening conversation. So Maddy could have saved Shanna, but didn't? From the sound of it, there's a lot going on at the Agency, and nothing of it good. The way they treated Alex has been annoying me for quite a while already, and I was glad when Námo gave her that talking-to. It might even help to get Alex out of that nuthouse, I suppose. After that talk, Maddy may be a bit more inclined to make things up to him and let him go. Or at least that's what I hope.

Author's reply

Hi Kitty. Dunham's a lawyer, so there's not much to like about the guy but he doesn't pull punches and he tells it like it is. We'll see how successful they are in getting Farrell and the others free. Námo has a way of getting to the very heart of a matter and is not one to beat around the bush. Hopefully, after this little talk, Maddy will do the right thing with respect to Alex and the whole mess. We'll just have to see. Thanks for commenting. I very much appreciate you taking the time to do so.

Kitty · 1 February 2013 · Chapter 78: The Next Day

Human and Elven healers working together could over time probably generate some amazing results, when I think about it. Combine the abilities of the Elves with our modern day medical equipment and knowledge and some things might be possible that have been unthinkable so far. This could be an interesting cooperation, particularly with the true purpose of the EA in mind. It's sweet how worried Finda is about his father. In the beginning, he was quite a brat, but by now, I really like him and his two friends. For some strange reason, I hope the medical staff at the hospital doesn't understand too much Quenya and Sindarin, if any at all. Finrod would be such a bad influence on their vocabulary! While I hope Alex reconsiders his decision about the tour, it's touching that Finda wants to do it now. He has certainly been coming a long way since his arrival! In case they don't release Finrod soon, I foresee them being forced to tie him to the bed – which wouldn't do anything to improve is mood.

Author's reply

Hi Kitty. Some of the hospital staff might know some Sindarin but probably not too much Quenya, though I don't think anyone needs to know the languages to figure out what Finrod is saying here. LOL! Finda is maturing quite nicely and has learned a lot in the process of the kidnapping. I think seeing Alex "at work" has impressed him and he has more respect for him and for Derek. And I think he's beginning to be less bratty. As for Finrod, I don't think they could tie him down for long. We'll have to see. Thanks for leaving a review. It's very much appreciated.

Kitty · 1 February 2013 · Chapter 77: Reactions

That confrontation between Amroth and Glorfindel was only to be expected. Hopefully, Glorfindel has now calmed down enough after all that stress and doesn't lose it again around the mortals. Anger management classes for Finrod and particularly Glorfindel sound like a good idea; only problem is, I am not sure Vorondur would survive suggesting them! And btw, Finrod gives 'royally pissed' a new meaning, that fits too well :) You know, it's said that healers are the worst patients, but I get the feelings that two certain blonde Elves are even worse than that. They're not even inside the hospital yet and I already feel sorry for the staff at St. Luke's. Hm, stimulating blood production? Sounds much better than transfusions – no contaminations and all that. In any case, here that would be rather useful. You know, the question of blood types for Elves could be an interesting one for someone interested in such topics if they were real. Glad everyone is alright, as much as they can be under the circumstances.

Author's reply

Hi Kitty. Glorfindel and Finrod have a lot to deal with so I'm sure Vorondur is keeping a clinical eye on the two of them. One of my betas and I had a discussion about blood types and how they could handle what would amount to alien blood, although not too alien since there is cross-breeding between Elves and Mortals and I came up with the idea that the healers from Aman might be able to stimulate blood production since they might not have developed the idea of blodd transfusions. And everyone is alive and safe and that's all that matters at the moment. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

Kitty · 1 February 2013 · Chapter 76: Endgame

Just realised how long I truly didn't review – sorry! And I know, I owe you emails, too. Work is still quite the nuthouse, but one gets used to it, so I will try to get at least a few chapters done. At first I was annoyed Farrell and his goons got out of the cave, but then I realised it's for the better, because there's no cover and the danger of ricochets is too high. And their reception committee is waiting already anyway. Someone not knowing who Robin Hood was sounds funny. If he had existed, I wonder if one of the Wiseman Elves would have known him personally, too. With them, you never know. That was a pretty stupid idea of Amroth to just walk out there. Nimrodel won't be pleased with him, either! Poor Finrod, that must have hurt quite a bit, not to mention the shock. But maybe it has one advantage – to show the Valinorean Elves what a gun can do and how dangerous they are. Still, I'd have preferred for one of the goons to take the hit. To see Maddy here is certainly unexpected, but personally I think she is the one who has a lot of explaining to do. And I sincerely hope she does *not* get Farrell off scot-free! *raises brow* Finrod wants to hold court? I don't know ... that seems pretty out of place (and time) here, and he has no legal rights there. Besides, I can't blame Dave for being angry, either. The Elves do way too much behind his back or try to keep him out of the case and from doing his job. Admittedly, I enjoyed it how at the end Amroth and Alex refused to go with Maddy.

Author's reply

Hi Kitty. Glad to hear from you. I can sympathesize about work being crazy. Anyway, Amroth was pretty stupid and it almost got Finrod killed. If that had happened, there would've been another kinslaying among the Elves with Glorfindel in the front. Maddy has much to answer for. And we'll see about Finrod holding court in a later chapter. He has to survive hospital first. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

Anonymous · 31 January 2013 · Chapter 16: An Awkward Reunion

no doubts anymore and finally clear words. Does Glorfindel know that Alex has met with Namo? "it is to Life to whom you owe your allegiance, not Death" what a powerful and musing sentence - I like it! From the mouth of a mortal it would sound weird, yet from an elf.... I had to smile on the phrase "back of the beyond - we have an exact similar phrase in german. One of my favourite chapters. Now Alex has to turn from his path and become Artemus again or he is a real fool. Lai

Author's reply

Hi Lai. Well, since you always sign your reviews it doesn't matter if you sign in or not. *grin* Anyway, you are correct, there are no more doubts. I think Glorfindel is simply stating a truth as one who has had died. We'll see how Alex/Artemus handles things from now on. He has a way to go before he can be who he is meant to be and can be of help to the Elves. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

Ilya of Aewellond · 27 January 2013 · Chapter 86: Epilogue

Mae Govanenn once more, hir Fiondil. I have just reached the conclusion of this tale, and am very pleased that young Alex elected to remain in Wiseman. I suppose I should now admit that I have already read the first 16 chapters of your 'Christmas at Edhellond' story, though I did not leave any reviews, as I could think of naught to say. The tale needs no improvement! It was my discovery of that tale which led me to read the other Elf Academy stories. I must admit they are very different to your Elf Interrupted tales. I see no way to reconcile them, though that is disenheartning. I find myself eagerly anticipating tomorrow's update to thy Christmas story, and am equally looking forward to the third part of Elf Academy. But I have prattled on for far too long now, so I will say Namarie until the next time I gain access to a computer (they are hard to come by in Aewellond!)

Author's reply

Hi Ilya. I'm glad you have enjoyed Elf Academy 2 and Christmas at Edhellond. The Elf Academy tales are AU to Elf, Interrupted only in the sense that Glorfindel does not return to Aman at the end of the Fourth Age (which is the original scenario I had planned for a third installment of that series in which Glorfindel returns to Aman and has to readjust to life there all over again. Perhaps some day that story will be written). So, in terms of Glorfindel's past, it is the same as that in Elf, Interrupted and that's all the reconciliation that is needed between the two sets of stories. At any rate. I'm glad you're looking forward to the next installment of Elf Academy. Thanks for letting me know. I really appreciate it.

Ilya of Aewellond · 27 January 2013 · Chapter 72: Kidnapped!

Greetings, mellon nin. I have continued reading this tale as you suggested (last time I sent you a message I used my amilesse, Tindomiel, now I use the name my atar gave me). I was greatly disturbed to read of the plight of Alex and his comrades. I hope this situation is resolved with no fatalities! I regret to inform you, Lord Fiondil, that your scribe has made another error. In the scene where Farrell is interrogating Zach, a mistake hath been made with the Mortals' names, as Derek sings a response to one of Farrell's questions. I will continue to read now, as I am eager to see how the captives are rescued! Namarie.

Author's reply

Thanks for pointing out the error, Ilya. Your eyes are obviously sharper than mine. *grin*

Tindomiel · 26 January 2013 · Chapter 15: Return to Winterdark Tarn

Mae Govannen Lord Fiondil I find myself greatly enjoying this tale, mellon nin, but I must regretfully inform you that I have discovered an error in thy scribing. You have made reference to the three Lord children, yet I understood there were four- Adam, Rachel, Hannah and young Caleb. Please forgive me if the error is mine. I look forward to reading the remainder of this epic tale, and also hope to see the third part of these comrades' adventures as they prepare for the coming Darkness. However, Aure entuluva, by the will of the One! Namarie, Hir nin Tindomiel of Aewellond

Author's reply

Thank you for pointing out the error, Tindomiel. As often as I've read this chapter, I can't believe I didn't notice the discrepancy earlier. At any rate, I'm glad you are enjoying the tale and when you finish with this one don't forget to read "Christmas at Edhellond", which continues the Elf Academy story and is a bridging story between this one and Elf Academy 3 which will hopefully be written later in the year if the Muse cooperates. Until then... namárië.
