Fiondil · 14 July 2011 · Chapter 14: hopes we never dared to have

And so the innocence of a child brings Glorfindel back to the light, as is only fitting. Thanks for sharing this story with us, Lai.

Author's reply

I did it gladly and I´m happy you liked it a bit. Thank you so much for your reviews and thoughts. Lai

minuial · 10 July 2011 · Chapter 14: hopes we never dared to have

I really liked the fact that a child managed to do what the adults didn't. Glad that Glorfindel is back where belongs. Heartbreaking but beautiful story. Great work. Thank you.

Author's reply

I have to thank you for following my story. I´m glad you liked the ending. I ever liked Galadriel´s sentence: Even the smallest person can change a course. Yes Glorfindel is finally back. Thank you for every review. I really appreciated them. Lai

Larner · 7 July 2011 · Chapter 14: hopes we never dared to have

Excellent--that indeed broke through the barrier of depression and reaction and brought him back to himself! Good pacing.

Author's reply

Thank you, Larner. I´m happy you like the ending of my story. Thank you so much for following it and most of all for the many reviews. Lai

Larner · 7 July 2011 · Chapter 13: hopes we never wanted to lose

It must seem a major defeat. But I suspect that a small child may this time lead the way back to recovery.

Author's reply

you may be right..sometimes the smallest can make the difference. Thank you for reviewing. Lai

Larner · 7 July 2011 · Chapter 12: ground, we are not supposed to give up

A good question. Come back, Glorfindel.

Author's reply

indeed and hopefully Elrond will find the right answer quickly. Thank you so much for a appreciated review. Lai

Larner · 7 July 2011 · Chapter 11: blows we never wanted to receive

Or perhaps not as great a defeat as he thought. So, the Nazgul had held him totally immobile until after the attack first by Thalan and then on Thalan, eh? And now he's at least back home in his own body. Will Glorfindel do the same? That he assaulted the Nazgul physically is fascinating.

Author's reply

attack to deviate, so that Glorfindel can slip the grasp. Dire circumstances requires dire acting. Yes, back in his body but that´s the good news...Thank you for reading and reviewing. Lai

Larner · 7 July 2011 · Chapter 10: places we never wanted to look at

This isolated stone prison would be quite the feat, given the circumstances. Now--to convince Glorfindel to continue to fight and actually throw the bugger out! The determination to die and to face the prospect of returning to Namo's halls would be a shock. And the thought of becoming a reborn Reborn.... (Sorry, please forgive the irreverent thought! Heh!)

Author's reply

Elrond will have to do much convincing and Namo will surely have his say in greating Glorfindel again in his halls... a reborn Reborn sounds interesting and would be quite a fitting title for Glorfindel *g*. Thank you for reading and reviewing, Lanrer. Lai

Larner · 7 July 2011 · Chapter 9: actions we never wanted to take

A most grim battle, and I rejoice that with the twins and Vilya he was able to prevail--for now. Now--to get that unwanted visitor out of there!

Author's reply

yes, but how to get rid of a Nazgûl? Another battle is coming...promise. Thank you for the review. Lai

Larner · 7 July 2011 · Chapter 8: words we never wanted to utter

Definitely a matter about which they must be seriously concerned. And no wonder Glorfindel had hoped to die, too, to keep from being so used.

Author's reply

exactly! And of all things Glorfindel was used to become a safety risk. This has to be unbearable for him. Thank you so much for letting me know your thoughts, Larner. Lai

Larner · 7 July 2011 · Chapter 7: realisations we never wanted to make

A terrible possibility, but one I believe he can probe successfully. Recognizing a potential danger is the first step toward countering it.

Author's reply

indeed! but I feel sorry for Elrond to even have to consider this possibility. Thank you for your review. Lai

Larner · 7 July 2011 · Chapter 6: words we never wanted to hear

Losing the entire patrol must have been more than he could bear.

Author's reply

you are right, even for such a great spirit, as that of Glorfindel, but even he has his limits. Thank you so much reading and reviewing, Larner. I really appreciate it. Lai

ellie · 25 June 2011 · Chapter 13: hopes we never wanted to lose

uh oh! I wonder if Elladan would have done a better job at this or maybe there was no hope for anyone trying to reach Glorfy becuase of his great pain and guilt.

Author's reply

an interesting question, Ellie but sometimes it is the most unexpected person that will make an impression. Follow me to the next chapter and find it out. Thank you so much for your review. Lai

Fiondil · 25 June 2011 · Chapter 13: hopes we never wanted to lose

Glorfindel sure isn't making it easy on anyone, is he? Hope he comes around soon or Elrond will need to put an ad in the Imladris Times for a new Troop Commander even as he's sending Glorfindel to Mandos with a personal note to Lord Námo. LOL!

Author's reply

it woudn´t be Glorfindel but as I promised Linda, a kick in the back maybe the right choice of action now. I´m sure Elrond has already composed such a note, yet he will not need it as the next ( and last) chapter will show. Thank you so mch for reading and for your appreciated review, Findil. Lai

6336 · 25 June 2011 · Chapter 13: hopes we never wanted to lose

I think some one needs to give Glorfindel a kick in the butt and tell him to stop wollowing in self pity and get on with his life. Yes, elves died, but it is not the first time they have done so under his command and I doubt it will be the last, how he was supposed to protect his men while being held, powerless, by a Nazgul, is beyond me! No matter how powerfull he is, he is only one elf after all. Lynda

Author's reply

I totally agree with you, Linda and the kick is in order just in the next chapter, I promise. Thank yo so much for the time to read and letting me know you thoughts. Lai

Fiondil · 19 June 2011 · Chapter 12: ground, we are not supposed to give up

Ah, and that is certainly the question: is he asking forgiveness for what he'd put Elrond and the others through, or is he asking them to forgive him for giving up? Looking forward to finding out.

Author's reply

the question of all questions, indeed! I´m glad you want to find out the answer. Thank you for reading and reviewing. The answer is coming soon. I promise. Lai

Fiondil · 11 June 2011 · Chapter 11: blows we never wanted to receive

That's terrible what happened to Glorfindel, forced to watch his men die without being able to aid them. I hope Elrond's arguments take hold and Glorfindel decides to return to the living real soon; the suspense is killing me. LOL!

Author's reply

Hello Fiondil, yes, we can only hope that Elrond was successful. If the suspense is working then I´ve made something right. Thank you so much for letting me know. More of poor Glorfindel soon. Lai

minuial · 5 June 2011 · Chapter 11: blows we never wanted to receive

That was heartbreaking for both of them. Looking forward to see how this situation will end (hopefully a happy end). Great work.

Author's reply

Hi Minuial, yes, that was hard stuff for both of them and there will still be a long road ahead of them. Thank you so much for your review. I really appreciate it. Lai

Larner · 2 June 2011 · Chapter 5: duties we never wanted to do

Grief must be dealt with, and strength must be both husbanded and spent well to see to it that Glorfindel recovers, even though his men did not.

Author's reply

Hi Larner, exactly my opinion. They have to treat carefully now to nudge Glorfindel on a path of true healing. Thank you so much for reading and a much appreciated review. Lai

Fiondil · 29 May 2011 · Chapter 10: places we never wanted to look at

Okay, that was creepy, indeed. What is it with Glorfindel, anyway? Can't wait to see how it all turns out.

Author's reply

Thank you, Fiondil. The Nazgûl seems not to be Glorfindel´s only problem. I´m glad you will stay the rest of the way with him. I appreciate your review and thanks for reading. Lai

Ellie · 28 May 2011 · Chapter 10: places we never wanted to look at

very creepy ending! I wonder what is going on now? Elrond fought so valiantly but was it only to lose anyway? Poor Elrond and poor Glorfy! Can't wait till the next chapter.

Author's reply

Elrond does not yet fully understand the depth of Glorfindel´s grief but he will find out soon. I´m glad the ceepy feeling worked. Thank you so much for reading and rewiewing. Lai

Fiondil · 15 May 2011 · Chapter 9: actions we never wanted to take

And the plot thickens.... let's hope Elrond is able to free Glorfindel from the Nazgul soon or they'll need to look for new Troop Commander. *grin* When this is all over I think Glorfindel will be doing a lot of apologizing to a lot of people.

Author's reply

I think Elrond has not yet considered a new Troop Commander but who knows....*grin*. And you can be sure, that the list of apology will be long. Poor Glorfindel. Thank you so much for your review. Lai

minuial · 13 May 2011 · Chapter 9: actions we never wanted to take

Difficult task for Elrond but, with his sons and Vilya's help, I'm sure he will defeat the nazgul. Looking forward to the battle of their minds (hopefully Glorfindel will be there to help). Great work.

Author's reply

a difficult task indeed because Elrond must ever consider not to hurt Glorfindel too, he´s after victim after all. Glorfindel will be there but if he is of help? Thank you so much for your review, minuial. Lai

Fiondil · 7 May 2011 · Chapter 8: words we never wanted to utter

Ha! A Nazgûl! Well that's a surprise. But I knew Glorfindel was lying about something. Surprised that someone of Glorfindel's calibre could be taken over by another but maybe he was taken by surprise and didn't get his defenses up in time. It happens. Looking forward to seeing how this all works out.

Author's reply

Hi Fiondil, yes a Nazgûl! Your guess may be right that even an elf like Glorfindel can be overtaken. It´s fat from over now, I promise! Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. Lai

minuial · 6 May 2011 · Chapter 8: words we never wanted to utter

The situation is getting even worse. That the nazgul was the one controlling Glorfindel was a surprise for me (a good one). I guess that the rings and Sauron are giving them great powers. I can't wait to find out what Elrond will do next, how he will handle this dangerous situation. I also liked the connection between Glorfindel's fea and Elrond's mind (even if it was a deception). Great work.

Author's reply

Hi minuial,I´m glad the surprise worked. It had to be something powerful to control Glorfindel. Now Elrond has to do something equally powerful to help his friend. Thank you so much to let me know your thoughts. I really appreciate it. Lai

GreyLynx · 30 April 2011 · Chapter 7: realisations we never wanted to make

OH! Did Glorfindel try to...? No. It can't be! Give more! Let me find out! Cheers! ^^

Author's reply

Hello GreyLynx. Did he....? I will give you more soon and you WILL find out. Thank you so much for reviewing. Lai
