Ouch! I'm afraid Glorfindel is going to be very sorry for what he said to poor Galaeron. Glad Elrond is finally getting a clue. Now to see how he saves our beloved Glorfi from the Darkness.
Author's reply
Hi Fiondil, oh yes he will regret them but maybe he´s not at fault here? Now let´s see what ideas Elrond has. Thank you so much for a very appreciated review. Lai

Gloomy chapter. So sorry for the captain that he had to witness Glorfindel's dark words (he will regret them later, I'm sure). Looking forward to finding out about the evil influence on Glorfindel's mind. Great work.
Author's reply
Hi munuial, poor guy indeed and you can be sure that Glorfindel will regret his words. I will make up for the gloom, promise. Thank you so much for your kind words. Lai

Well, that's a surprise! Glorfindel wanted to die. Obviously he knows something Elrond doesn't. It'll be interesting to see how this develops.

Hi Fiondil, you could be right that he is knowing something more. Hope you are willing to find out. Thank you so much for the review. I appreciate it very much. Lai

The suspans is building up. Very intriguing chapter. It's good to see Glorfindel awake but his words were quite shocking. Looking forward to see what will happen next. Great work.

thank you so much for your words. Yes, it´s not how we expect our worrior to react. I´m glad I can keep you with the growing tension. Thanks for the time to review. Lai

· Chapter 5: duties we never wanted to do
Elrond's sons should know by now that their father is the consummate healer who would offer up his own life to save another. I hope Glorfindel gets better soon and tells them what happened to them. Obviously there is an evil out there waiting....
Good chapter with lots of pathos. I really liked Erestor here. He's a very capable Elf.
Author's reply
Hi Fiondil, yes I agree with you, that the twins should know, but to be aware of something and to witness it are different things, I think. And Glorfindel would not appreciate such a sacrifice either. And yes, there is evil lurking but not outside.....
Anyway, I appreciate your review very much. Thank you so much for reading and commenting. Lai

It's great to see them in Imladris where they will be safer even though the danger remains. I like very much the strong bonds between the twins and between them and Elrond. Looking forward to the next chapters when, hopefully, Glorfindel's situation will improve. Great work.
Author's reply
they are far from save that I can promise. I´ve always imagined the twins as strong bonded and also with their father. I´m glad the description worked. Thank you so much for letting me know and for reading and reviewing. Lai

At least they are back home safe and sound again - even if they did face some pretty tough duties. Elrond is very fortunate to have Erestor to help him with things. Loved seeing the bonds of love between the twins and Elrond. Hope Glorfy gets well soon!
Author's reply
Hi ellie, yes Elrond can be fortunate to have such loyal elves around to help him through this dark time. I´m glad the display of emotions worked. Thank you so much for your review. Lai

No, they do not wish to lose both Glorfindel and their father. And whoever is out there could well be lying in wait.

No, they won´t and I do not envy them right now. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing, Larner. Lai

· Chapter 3: sights we never wanted to see
Definitely not a sight anyone wishes to see, and to know that the malicious will that began it remains at hand makes it worse. Now--to get him home as quickly and gently as possible.
Author's reply
even for the warriors used to constant battles, it was not an every-day occurence, I deem. To bring him home alive is now the premise. Thank you so much for your review. Lai

That was a scary occurence with Glorfindel. Glad he and Elrond are okay :-)
One thing I do ask of you, in fact beg of you, when writing about Glorfindel: please stop referring to him as "the blond". To me that invokes visions of some cheap bimbo who uses lots of hair dye and that is not how I envision my gallant hero the balrog slayer. I realise that you are trying to find differnt ways of referring to Glorfindel without constantly repeating his name, but constant references to his hair color are distracting from the fascinating tale you are trying to tell.
Big hugs and I look forward to the next chapter.
Author's reply
Hello Ellie, are Elrond and Glorfindel really ok? I would be glad if you will stay with me to find out. And I´m grateful for your advice and I will heed it, I promise!!You are right it sounds...odd, at least for Glorfindel. Hugs back, Lai

Not sure how I missed this but I'm glad I saw it. So Glorfi at least is alive, but for how long remains the question. And Elrond detected some evil presence just waiting to pounce on them again. The suspense is building. Will they make it home safely? Looking forward to more.
Author's reply
no matter, Fiondil, now you are here and I´m glad. It will definitely not be the last what they encountered of the evil presence. Thanks for the review. I really appreciate it. Lai

Nicely done for such a horrific moment.
I had to smile with Elrond deciding to lead the rescue/retrieval mission. A captain does not leave his ship. You gave a very good reason for his going.

Thank you. I´m glad Elrond sounded true despite his decision to come. Special happenings require special measures. I´m glad for your smile. Lai

I'm glad that Elrond let his sons go with him and Erestor as well. They will be a big help and comfort and support along the way. Elrond is so sweet in his comfort and support of the widow and in his practicality of approach to her at this difficult time. That ending was very sad indeed. Poor little guy!
Author's reply
I think he will need all the support and his sons are adults after all but to bring condolence is the hardest part and I do not envy him. Thank you so much for reading and letting me know your thoughts. Lai
