Lindelea · 24 March 2013 · Chapter 10: In Sickness (Faramir, Frodo)

Hah! A happy convalescence for a change. How delightful! (Why can I hear Pippin asking, when he turns his ankle on a stone, if a draught of some sort or other might be in order...?)

Author's reply

Frodo totally deserves a happy convalescence, and yummy medicine, considering what we've all put him through! I'm glad you enjoyed this.

Lindelea · 24 March 2013 · Chapter 9: The Throne (Faramir, Aragorn)

I am at a loss for words. These snippets are so lovely! This one left me with a chill -- the good kind.

Author's reply

Thank you so much, my friend!

Lindelea · 24 March 2013 · Chapter 8: Childhood Lessons (Sam, Legolas)

I must say, I prefer the hobbity version!

Author's reply

*grins* So do I! Thank you for reviewing.

Lindelea · 24 March 2013 · Chapter 7: Ranger of the North (Aragorn, Pippin)

Awww. Lovely. And leaves me feeling kind of wistful about Halbarad.

Author's reply

Me too. I love that character a lot.

Cairistiona · 24 March 2013 · Chapter 11: Narya the Great (Gandalf)

What a powerful moment... I can definitely see this happening, and you've written it so vividly it feels like something Tolkien himself wrote. Really well done!

Author's reply

Oh, thank you! What a lovely compliment.

Andrea · 14 February 2012 · Chapter 10: In Sickness (Faramir, Frodo)

LOL!!! Great one, Shirebound! But I think the hobbits should also leave some of the oils in Rivendell. Elrond would be most pleased ;-)

Author's reply

They'll consider it! Great idea. :)

Fiondil · 10 February 2012 · Chapter 10: In Sickness (Faramir, Frodo)

LOL! I wish I'd had Faramir's oils when *I* was a kid and sick. Too cute, Shirebound. Loved the last bit with Frodo deciding he needed one more day to get well. Vanilla is a particular favorite flavor of mine as well.

Author's reply

Thank you. I just love the thought of a 'conspiracy' between these two. And Frodo certainly deserves a 'sweet' convalescence once in awhile.

6336 · 10 February 2012 · Chapter 10: In Sickness (Faramir, Frodo)

As Mary Poppins was wont to say, 'A spoonfull of suger makes the medicine go down!' I think Frodo should take a whole case of those oils back with him! Huggs, Lynda

Author's reply

Faramir Poppins, at your service! :)

Antane · 10 February 2012 · Chapter 10: In Sickness (Faramir, Frodo)

Too cute! Imagine that, medicine that tastes good. :) So nice to something with Frodo and Faramir. They must have met again in Minas Tirith and I've wondered why Frodo did not record that - good that you do here! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author's reply

Glad you enjoyed! I love writing about Frodo and Faramir... I can't believe how long it's been since I wrote "Reunion in Minas Tirith" about Faramir and the hobbits post-Quest. I know he and Frodo would be good friends.

Larner · 10 February 2012 · Chapter 10: In Sickness (Faramir, Frodo)

Aha! Colluding with the sick one--to stay abed! Heh! Interesting twist here, I must say! Cute.

Author's reply

Thank you. This was fun to write.

eiluj · 10 February 2012 · Chapter 10: In Sickness (Faramir, Frodo)

What a twist! Looks like those canny Gondorians have an advantage over Elrond & co. when it comes to medicine....

Author's reply

This is a fun twist, especially for Frodo. We h/c authors put him through a lot! :)

GamgeeFest · 10 February 2012 · Chapter 10: In Sickness (Faramir, Frodo)

“What a shame,” Frodo sighed, gazing longingly at the tray in Faramir’s hands. LOL! Oh, Frodo, I'm sure you can still get your medicine once they allow you out of bed. :D What a sweet scene, in more ways than one!

Author's reply

I thought that dear Frodo (and Sam, of course) deserved an enjoyable convalescence for a change. Glad you enjoyed this! :)

Estelcontar · 8 January 2012 · Chapter 9: The Throne (Faramir, Aragorn)

A very enchanting drabble indeed. You did a great job of portraying the camaraderie between Aragorn and Faramir, and their love for our for irrepressible hobbits.

Author's reply

Thank you. Both Aragorn and the hobbits inspired so much love and respect, it's a pleasure to highlight it.

lbilover · 7 January 2012 · Chapter 9: The Throne (Faramir, Aragorn)

Aww, what a lovely moment between Faramir and Aragorn!! <3

Author's reply

Thanks. I do love the lighter moments.

Agape4Gondor · 6 January 2012 · Chapter 9: The Throne (Faramir, Aragorn)

Very nice indeed. I do love the thought of Denethor allowing Pip to sit on the throne. Something a Hobbit would most enjoy doing.... Thanks!

Author's reply

Thank you for reading. *beams*

Fiondil · 6 January 2012 · Chapter 9: The Throne (Faramir, Aragorn)

This is so sweet, Shirebound. I would love to have seen Aragorn putting all 4 Hobbits on the king's throne and then watched as the prim and proper Gondorian court have the vapours as they used to say in an earlier era. LOL! Thanks for sharing.

Author's reply

Thank you! Oh dear, the Proper Ladies of the Court swooning at the impropriety... what fun. :)

Larner · 6 January 2012 · Chapter 9: The Throne (Faramir, Aragorn)

And all rejoiced that at last this seat was properly to be utilized by the one foretold. And trust Pippin to have tried out the King's seat first! Yes, that would have amused Denethor, I think, to see one with absolutely no pretense at a claim to it sit on it prior to his former rival!

Author's reply

I think so, too. Luckily, Pippin had no notion of the sacred nature of that particular seat!

Antane · 6 January 2012 · Chapter 9: The Throne (Faramir, Aragorn)

This is neat, my dear, especially the ending words, and the idea that Aragorn wants all four of them to sit there - how cute that Pippin did first. Sorry I haven't gotten back to Mind's Eye yet - so busy but so looking forward to reading more! :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author's reply

Thank you, Antane. That throne room won't be so solemn once the hobbits invade. :)

Andrea · 6 January 2012 · Chapter 9: The Throne (Faramir, Aragorn)

Four hobbits on the Throne of Gondor - I would have liked that :-)

Author's reply

I rather like the thought of it myself. :)

6336 · 6 January 2012 · Chapter 9: The Throne (Faramir, Aragorn)

Oh, such a lovely image. Nice one Shirebound. Huggs and Scrits, Lynda

Author's reply

Thank you, my friend.

obsidianj · 6 January 2012 · Chapter 9: The Throne (Faramir, Aragorn)

Aww, I get warm feelings reading this. Welcome home indeed. I love the idea of all 4 hobbits sitting on the mighty and exalted throne.

Author's reply

Thank you. I think the citizens would be delighted at such a sight.

Cairistiona · 6 January 2012 · Chapter 9: The Throne (Faramir, Aragorn)

What a lovely, warm moment between Faramir and his new King! I love picturing all four Hobbits sitting on the throne. :)

Author's reply

Thank you. Isn't it lovely to imagine such a warm friendship, and joyous post-War scene?

Cairistiona · 11 June 2011 · Chapter 8: Childhood Lessons (Sam, Legolas)

What a difference in cultures, and yet there are commonalities as well. Love how you illustrated that with this. :)

Author's reply

Thank you, my friend. It's a challenge to fit so much into so few words.

Andrea · 8 June 2011 · Chapter 8: Childhood Lessons (Sam, Legolas)

Far more innocent indeed! And what a difference between a coney and a Balrog! On the other hand, Mirkwood was a very dangerous place for children. Just think about all those spiders and the Necromancer.

Author's reply

I agree, what a place to grow up! Hopefully it became a place of light and peace after the War. Thank you for reading! :)

Larner · 6 June 2011 · Chapter 8: Childhood Lessons (Sam, Legolas)

Definitely each was a proper lesson for the one being taught, although I like Sam's better.

Author's reply

I think Legolas likes Sam's better, too. :)
