Those two really gave hope to the whole world. It is good to see that they got a lasting memorial, as the time of secrecy is finally past. Thank you!

Author's reply

Thank you so much. I'd love to pay my respects at that site myself!

Canafinwe · 2 December 2015 · Chapter 14: A Light from the Shadows

Oh, how beautiful! I was a bit choked up by this, I confess. Thank you for sharing this gem.

Author's reply

What a lovely compliment. Thank you! The Professor was so kind to leave us so many 'loose ends' to tie up.

Periantari · 11 September 2015 · Chapter 1: Conspiracy (Aragorn and Sam)

hahaha that is too funny! Loved this movie-verse drabble.

Author's reply

Thanks so much! :)

Periantari · 11 September 2015 · Chapter 9: The Throne (Faramir, Aragorn)

ooo i liked this. This is a great moment and i'm glad they even mentioned hobbits needing to be honored on the throne. The "Welcome home" bit was a great end to a great drabble. :)

Author's reply

Thank you, my friend. Anytime we can help our hobbits be honored or comforted, we must leap at the chance! :)

LOVETHOSHOBBITS · 1 November 2014 · Chapter 13: Companions of the Heart (Éomer, hobbits)

*sigh* I am in Nirvana...a sweet tale (tail??)

Author's reply

You know I'm insatiable when it comes to sweet tales *and* tails! :) *hugs you*

Luthoriel · 29 September 2014 · Chapter 10: In Sickness (Faramir, Frodo)

Lol this sounds so much like me and my siblings. I have been known to drink children's pain medicine because I love the cherry flavor!

Author's reply

*grins* Glad you enjoyed this 'true to life' tale!

Andrea · 28 September 2014 · Chapter 13: Companions of the Heart (Éomer, hobbits)

A very appropriate custom for the Riders of Rohan and for their horses the greatest honor of all. But I also understand that Sam would never do such a thing. It is very typical of him that he speaks out his mind regardless of whom he is actually talking to. For Eomer is a king! A king with great respect for Frodo and Sam.

Author's reply

It is very typical of him that he speaks out his mind regardless of whom he is actually talking to. Yes, that's indeed our Sam. :)

Lindelea · 27 September 2014 · Chapter 13: Companions of the Heart (Éomer, hobbits)

“Should you someday be reunited with your gallant steed, Samwise,” Éomer said gently, “that will be celebration enough.” Such a lovely thing to look forward to! Was glad to sneak away from unpacking for a few moments, to find this.

Author's reply

I'm glad you enjoyed this. I know Sam will remember Eomer's words when he and Bill are reunited in Bree.

Ainariel · 26 September 2014 · Chapter 13: Companions of the Heart (Éomer, hobbits)

Love this! At one point in time, I would have wholehearted agreed with our Sam...but that changed the day I had to let my old girl journey on to the Rainbow Bridge... And now a shock of white horsetail has held an honored place on my desk for almost 4 years!

Author's reply

Thank you so much for sharing that. :)

Larner · 25 September 2014 · Chapter 13: Companions of the Heart (Éomer, hobbits)

Oh, how gentle a tribute to a faithful animal. Eomer is as skilled in his way at reading hearts as are Aragorn and Faramir.

Author's reply

I love how you say that! Thank you.

Antane · 25 September 2014 · Chapter 13: Companions of the Heart (Éomer, hobbits)

Sweet story! I love Sam saying no tail cutting for me and then backtracking - so him! :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author's reply

Thank you. It's always a challenge fitting so much into so few words.

Andrea · 15 April 2014 · Chapter 12: No Laughing Matter (Hobbits, Aragorn, Gandalf)

One gross of Elves! LOL!!! That was really funny! Thank you for posting it :-)

Author's reply

'The lighter side' of Middle-earth is always such a joy. Thank you! :)

Antane · 15 April 2014 · Chapter 12: No Laughing Matter (Hobbits, Aragorn, Gandalf)

This was cute! Too bad Frodo was drinking at the same though. Bless hobbits indeed! :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author's reply

Hobbits will never cease to delight me. :)

Lindelea · 15 April 2014 · Chapter 12: No Laughing Matter (Hobbits, Aragorn, Gandalf)

LOL! How I love hobbits' secret delight! And Gandalf is in on the secret! *grin* (I remember something similar from a notion of mine, but I made it up - that "Ernil i Pheriannath" sounded a bit like a Dwarfish curse, to Tookish ears, which made the hobbits very merry indeed as they walked about Minas Tirith after the War. But you've found something in canon for amusement, which is wonderful indeed!)

Author's reply

It's nice to imagine little moments of mirth and 'conspiracy' along the road of this very dangerous quest. I'm sure I've read that story, it sounds so familiar. It's delightful when the hobbits share a fun secret.

Larner · 15 April 2014 · Chapter 12: No Laughing Matter (Hobbits, Aragorn, Gandalf)

Ah, but it is fun when the Hobbits find something private to laugh at in such a manner. And to have them tickle Gandalf's fancy--perfect! Heh!

Author's reply

Thanks! I'm sure the hobbits and Gandalf will be diplomatic enough to keep the source of their mirth from Legolas.

Lily Baggins · 14 April 2014 · Chapter 10: In Sickness (Faramir, Frodo)

This was so adorable! Loved it!

Author's reply

Frodo deserves the most delicious potions Middle-earth can devise!

Linda Hoyland · 14 April 2014 · Chapter 12: No Laughing Matter (Hobbits, Aragorn, Gandalf)

Love the idea of a gross of Elves!

Author's reply

*giggles* This was a fun idea.

Fiondil · 14 April 2014 · Chapter 12: No Laughing Matter (Hobbits, Aragorn, Gandalf)

LOL! Never made the connection before either. I wonder if Frodo every explained (in private) to Aragorn what had caused the reaction he and the other hobbits had to Legolas' tale. Sure as Yavanna made little green apples, he didn't try to explain it to Legolas. Loved Gandalf in this. He would certainly understand hobbit humor if no one did.

Author's reply

I have a feeling the hobbits kept this little secret to themselves. :) Gandalf did seem to keep 'two eyes, as often as he could spare them' on his hobbits.

Fiondil · 3 April 2013 · Chapter 11: Narya the Great (Gandalf)

A great gap-filler, Shirebound. The quote at the end fits seamlessly in with this little scene and the imagery evoked is so powerful. Gandalf at his best.

Author's reply

Thank you so much. What a joy to fill in these gaps with everything we know and can imagine about our beloved characters.

Andrea · 25 March 2013 · Chapter 11: Narya the Great (Gandalf)

A great moment wonderfully written! It fits in perfectly (even seamlessly) with the quote at the end from "Return of the King".

Author's reply

Thank you, Andrea. I saw the quote and thought, "Hmmm, I wonder..." !

elliska · 24 March 2013 · Chapter 8: Childhood Lessons (Sam, Legolas)

Since I was caught by your latest one in this, I couldn't resist reading this one with Legolas (my fav character after Thranduil). Wow! What a fantastic and simple way to show a cultural difference. Loved it! Poor Sam would be horrified by Legolas's version.

Author's reply

Thank you so much! I enjoy thinking about the differences (and similarities) between our beloved characters.

elliska · 24 March 2013 · Chapter 11: Narya the Great (Gandalf)

What a great moment! Great gap filler! I really loved this!

Author's reply

Thanks, Elliska! :)

Larner · 24 March 2013 · Chapter 11: Narya the Great (Gandalf)

And again I rejoice that Gandalf and Narya had a part in that moment when hope flamed anew in all of those in the Army of the West!

Author's reply

I rejoice, too, This was one more pivotal moment in which everything was balanced 'on the edge of a knife', and no mistake.

Lindelea · 24 March 2013 · Chapter 11: Narya the Great (Gandalf)

Powerful and plausible. A goodly combination.

Author's reply

Thank you. I appreciate that very much.
