The fell fire takes so many of those who would fell Morgoth, although at least in the end he was defeated. Moving.

The idea came into my mind quite by accident, when I was browsing The Silmarillion. It latched onto my muse and refused to let go; so here was the result. Personally, I am pleased with the double meaning of the idea of "Fell Fire," and that has lent some conviction into the execution. (Ha! I never thought I would admit in public to being pleased about my work...) I am glad you enjoyed the irony.
