Raksha The Demon · 27 April 2012 · Chapter 22: For ye shall go out with joy

This is one of my favorites of your stories; a sensitive, sweet and often humorous story about beings of goodwill overcoming their prejudices. Love it that Sulion consented to bearing non-royal children on his back. He will certainly have some tales to tell to the dragons and people of his distant homeland! Nicely written, a treat to read all the way.

Larner · 24 April 2012 · Chapter 22: For ye shall go out with joy

A delightful finish to a wonderful story! I hope that we all might find such friends unlooked for, and have good reason to let go of old fears and hatreds and prejudices! And I will look for Sulion's return!

shirebound · 23 April 2012 · Chapter 22: For ye shall go out with joy

What a joyous ending. The years will bring these families many visits back and forth, and new adventures as the children grow. I enjoyed this marvelous story very much.

Larner · 13 February 2012 · Chapter 21: Unto us a child is born

Oh, dear--now the fat's in the fire! Heh! Love the reactions of Sulion to those he meets. Deadly nightshade, perhaps? Good to have it gone!

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you enjoyed Sulion's reactions. I was thinking of Deadly nightshade too.

shirebound · 12 February 2012 · Chapter 21: Unto us a child is born

She studied her mother and the new baby for a few minutes dutifully and then said "Thank you for letting me see him, naneth. May I go back to play with the dragon now?" "That is kind of Eldarion to let you play with his favourite toy," said Éowyn. I love that. Now that Arwen is coming around, it's Éowyn's turn. :) A lot was resolved in this chapter. What a nice story.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm delighted you enjoyed this chapter and Elestelle innocently giving the game away! I think there is only one more chapter to come now.

Larner · 13 January 2012 · Chapter 20: Needs go as the devil drives

With reason to want to trust the dragon, hopefully Arwen will conquer her fears of Sulion and his fellows! Good for Faramir and Aragorn to have pressed her to trust the dragon as they have learned to do.

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased you enjoyed this chapter.

shirebound · 12 January 2012 · Chapter 20: Needs go as the devil drives

“A nice, polite boy, not at all like his mother,” Súlion agreed. I agree with him! But Arwen is only reflecting what she's been taught. Now it's time to UN-teach her. What a lovely illustration of Aragorn with kittens on his chest. *grins*

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased you enjoyed Sulion's exchange with Arwen.Yes, she is only acting according to what she has learned over hundreds of years. I'm pleased you liked Rachel's lovely illustration. I did some rewriting to be able to use it for my story.

Larner · 6 January 2012 · Chapter 19: Those whom God hath joined together

A most timely reconciliation, and at least she is now willing to give over her suspicions of Sulion. Take care and God bless, and hope the new year is kind to you and yours.

shirebound · 23 December 2011 · Chapter 19: Those whom God hath joined together

“Why must he risk himself so?” Faramir mused. “Because he loves.” Arwen replied. What a lovely chapter to post for the holidays. I'm so relieved that everyone is healing now. Happy Christmas to you, and thank you for the wonderful stories.

Larner · 15 November 2011 · Chapter 18: The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit

I suspect that the dragon will now pay their debt for his rider's healing. Wonderful!

shirebound · 11 November 2011 · Chapter 18: The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit

"This is a holy place," Faramir replied. "We need conceal nothing from the One who made us as we are." Súlion immediately spread out his wings so that his markings were visible and preened. I love those little details you give us. But every chapter makes me more and more worried!

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you liked the glimpse of our vain dragon!I don't generally write AU if that is any comfort!

Raksha The Demon · 24 October 2011 · Chapter 17: The curse is come upon me

A sad chapter, though all hope is not yet lost. One can feel the fatigue and sorrow of Aragorn and Arwen, as they watch their baby sicken further and cannot help her or understand what caused the illness. Looking forward to the next chapter!

Author's reply

shirebound · 29 September 2011 · Chapter 17: The curse is come upon me

Larner · 12 September 2011 · Chapter 16: Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.Yes, I fear poor Farawyn is very ill indeed. More is explained in my new chapter I've just posted.

shirebound · 12 August 2011 · Chapter 16: Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown

He opened his eyes again and met his lord's kindly and concerned gaze. I love the quiet, tender moments between these soul-friends. Goodness, whatever is happening now? What a fascinating story.

Author's reply

Raksha The Demon · 2 July 2011 · Chapter 15: Betrayed, betrayed!

Uh-oh, Dragon Alert! The guys should have brought shields. Very big shields. Seriously, good chapter; and the tension of the last part really works well.

Larner · 2 July 2011 · Chapter 15: Betrayed, betrayed!

Author's reply

All will be revealed in the next chapter! You might well be wiser than Aragorn and Faramir about these dragons.

shirebound · 1 July 2011 · Chapter 15: Betrayed, betrayed!

Larner · 21 June 2011 · Chapter 14: Words of Understanding

I do hope that Aragorn's pronunciation gave Fu Nung a good laugh--laughter can be a wonderful restorative, after all. And he is trying to communicate, which will help them all. And now to see if he can at least reduce the scars on Sulion's wings. Poor man--separated from his wife and children over such a silly reason!

Author's reply

I hope Fu Nung had a good laugh too. My Chinese readers certainly thought Aragorn's Chinese was dire!If fu Nung can laugh and is no longer afraid he will recover from his wounds. I feel very sorry for Aragorn.

shirebound · 18 June 2011 · Chapter 14: Words of Understanding

shirebound · 23 May 2011 · Chapter 13: Love than death itself more strong

Súlion immediately curled his forelegs around the pallet and lifted his wings as a protective shield. Awwwww. This chapter made me smile. I'm so happy the rider is recovering.

Larner · 23 May 2011 · Chapter 13: Love than death itself more strong

Excellent--he's starting to learn some of the language of these guests to the realm of Gondor! About time! Agree with Sulion here, I must say.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. Yes, I agree with Sulion too!

Larner · 10 May 2011 · Chapter 12: Swimming in the river

Hopefully this time together will give Fu Nung more heart to waken properly and accept healing. Alas that he suffers so. And I'm glad Aragorn and Faramir gave over their stuffiness to swim with Sulion, who deserves to be treated in a proper, friendly manner. I grieve for the bushes, but have hope for the rider now.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased you enjoyed the chapter and that Aragorn and Faramir went swimming. Your hope for Fu Nung are realised.

Larner · 10 May 2011 · Chapter 11: Let not the sun go down upon your wrath

Poor Sulion--these Men are far from satisfactory companions for such as he. He wants to play, and they are too concerned with propriety and not upsetting their people. I hope he enjoys his swim. I'm so sorry that Arwen is not opening her eyes to the dragon's true nature. Even the wisest of Elves, apparently, has things yet to learn in this life!
