It is good to see the qurious Celebrian reappear, I get the feeling she is starting to heal now. The host she is going to sounds like a person it would be nice to meat, as it sounds he has a lot to tell. Not to mention that he has a very large house. I look forward to the next chapter.

Author's reply

Yep, she is starting to heal, although it will be a slow process.

Finarfin´s court must sound scary to Celebrian, I have no doubt it is quite large and that there are many rules to follow. Somehow I get the feeling that Celebrian likes better to live in a small house without fanfare, not being the center of attention at all hours. I look forward to the feast as that sounds lovely indeed.

Author's reply

Oh, it will be lovely. :) And so will the house in which they are going to stay during the festival.

Fantasia · 2 July 2009 · Chapter 4: Meril-i-Turinqi

Now I want to know who is this Meril. Wondering if she is that daughter of Finwe that went to exile and we never heard about her...I have to re-read a little bit my books, I don't remember... Wonderful chapter, I really love your style in this particular story... Thank you

Author's reply

Haha! Meril's identity won't be revealed right away - what would be the fun in that? But there will be little bits and pieces revealed gradually; you'll have to pay attention. Yes, I know I'm mean. ;)

Dís Thráinsdotter · 1 July 2009 · Chapter 3: Littleheart

How awesome it would be to go there and see the houses and the landscape. Not to mention hearing the songs and tales. Lovely.

Author's reply

Thank you. You ain't seen nothing yet, though. The real fun is still coming up.

Dís Thráinsdotter · 1 July 2009 · Chapter 1: Mithlond

It is not easy for Celebrian to leave her family but she has to. I guess her family in Aman look forward to meeting her.

Author's reply

The family perhaps does. She? Not so much, as you will see. But she has good reasons.

Fantasia · 1 July 2009 · Chapter 3: Littleheart

Hi Soledad, It is a joy to read this story, it is like reading those beautiful tales from my childhood. It seemd that she will discover a wonderful realm and find help in the process too. I look forward to learn more about this faerie land. Thank you

Author's reply

No, thank *you*! :) It's exactly those faerie-like characteristics of The Lost Tales that caught my imagination.

Raksha The Demon · 30 June 2009 · Chapter 2: The Journey

A rather lonely entrance to the Elven paradise for Celebrian, but with promises of wonder to come.

Author's reply

Oh, and wonders there will be! I had great fun writing this story, as I got to play with the more faerie-like settings and atmosphere of "The Lost Tales". They are so much more... well, Elvish to me like the Professor's later works, especially the Silmarillion. Thanks for reading and commenting, Raksha! I so hope that this story will unstuck, after all these years, and I finally come around to finish it. It's one of my personal favourites.

Raksha The Demon · 30 June 2009 · Chapter 1: Mithlond

I love the way you describe and characterize Elves; they really do seem like the ancient and wise beings Tolkien created. Fascinating beginning to the story!

Author's reply

Thank you.:) I'm very fond of Elves, actually, and what I was aiming for was to show that while they might look similar to Men, they are fundamentally different, somehow. For good or for bad, that depends on any given situation, but certainly different.
