I agree with Merry, birth is a messy buisness, any body who talks about the miracle of birth has probably never attended one!Or been on the delivering end!
I have, twice and it is very messy and painfull!

Author's reply
Yes, Merry is right about the miracle of birth or at least about the messy part. It really would have been better if everyone and every thing could have just laid eggs. LOL Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Well I found the disclaimer and a somewhat dysfunctional Dr., who looks to need some therepy himself!
Nothing wrong with borrowing charecters from The Proffessor as long as you put them back. Now sheep, you can do some interesting things with sheep, apart from shearing them, that is!

Oops! I'm supposed to put the characters back? No one told me. Sorry.
As to the sheep, yes, you can do some rather interesting things with them. I do not plan to be all that interesting though. LOL

Oh, this is delightful, GW! The birth of Dumpling, the lamb from another of your stories. I absolutely loved Merry's thoughts and comments from beginning to end. And he sure has his little cousin pegged. Very entertaining conversation from everyone. Thanks for brightening up my evening!! As always, you really have a way with sheep, lol!
Author's reply
Yes, Dumpling finally got another story outta me. Sheep are tricky that way. I'm glad this brightened your evening and thanks so much for reviewing!

Oh I so love that you did this in Merry's POV! His disgruntlement with sheep goes back a long way, doesn't it?
This was fun--seeing the differences between Pimpernel "it's a miracle" Took, and her sister "Practical" Pervinca was hilarious! And I think it's fun that in spite of everything, Pervinca got to name the sheep after all. I have a feeling that if Pippin had been allowed to touch it, it might have ended up named "Slick"--which would not be terribly sheep-appropriate! LOLOL!
Oh, and thanks for the earworm by the way...dum dum dum dum dum dee dee dumdum..*sigh*
Author's reply
For some reason writing from Merry's POV is easier for me than writing from any of the other character's POVs. I've no idea why but it's always been that way. And yes, poor Merry hasn't had that much luck with sheep has he?
Pimpernel was trying very hard with her 'miracle outlook' but in this case I think Pervinca's practical outlook won the day. So glad you enjoyed them. I like writing the sisters.
A lamb named 'Slick'! LOL
Enjoy the earworm. Maybe it will turn into a plot bunny if you sing it long enough. I'm still singing it.
Thanks for reviewing!

I am responding to this prologue even though there are three young hobbits of varying ages hanging over my shoulders wanting to get back to their computer game.
...you didn't know young hobbits played computer games? You thought they hated technology? Well, that's mainly the older hobbits. The younger hobbits have discovered computer games. The rest is history.
I didn't even have time to read the prologue, but I saw that sheep were mentioned, and so I must indeed get back to it sometime soon. (Is the newest member of the Took family perhaps a lamb? Am being eaten up with curiosity. But a young hobbit is now whistling annoyingly in my ear and so I must sign off.)
Author's reply
Everybody loves computers these days. What did we do without them?
I find computer games very enjoyable myself so I completely understand. Thanks for stopping by!

This is my miracle sheep,” Pippin said. “It has a head and everything!”
I loved every moment of this delightful (and slightly dis-custing) birth. Poor long-suffering Merry, but I'm sure he wouldn't miss any of this for the world.
Author's reply
I do think that by the time the entire lamb was out, Pippin really was relieved to see it. LOL I hear that the head is one of the more important parts of the sheep.
For some reason, I don't think Merry likes sheep. That could be my fault.
Thanks so much for reading and I'm very glad that you liked this one.

LOLOLOL!
You just need to find another therapist--one that's in the fandom! (Just think how much fun your sessions would be *THEN*) Instead of criticizing you for writing, the two of you could discuss plot bunnies!
Author's reply
It could wind up like that scene in the Jimmy Stewart film, "Harvey" where the shrink wants to keep the big bunny all for himself. LOL
Imagine that if you will!

Bravo!!
Merry is right, birthing is disgusting.
Merry is wrong, birthing is a miracle. ;-)
I loved that Pervinca was the one giving such good answers.
I do love your sheep stories, GW! :-)
Author's reply
Merry, wrong? He'll be stunned to hear it. LOL
Thank you for reading and I'm glad you enjoyed the sheep.

"Me: “My beta is on vacation! Both of them are and so I am going to post this just like it is and if no one reads it then so be it! If people do read it then they can find the mistakes and point them out. It’s fun for them. It’s like those children’s books where you look for Waldo! Instead of ‘Where’s Waldo’ this is ‘What’s spelled wrong’. People love doing that sort of thing.” "
LOL LOL
I'm glad you are still obsessing!
Author's reply
I obsess, therefore I am or something like that. Thank you for reviewing.

That has to be the funniest disclaimer ever in the history of disclaimers.
Author's reply
Now *that* is a lot of disclaimers! LOL
That you very much and my disclaimer thanks you too.
