· Chapter 17: The biggest fear ( AU/ Character Death!)
Very sad, but beautifully written!
I especially liked the repetition of the first sentences in the end. Although there are the same words describing the same scene, it will never be the same for Merry - without his Pippin!

A most moving possibility! Alas for Merry, left so bereft!

A very well written short-short story. It would be terribly hard on Merry to lose Pippin.

· Chapter 16: Bitterness dissolves ( Gimli/ Legolas)
“See that spider web over there?” the dwarf responded. “The raindrops caught in it sparkle like silver does, deep in the mountains, when the light of my lamp shines upon its surface.”
What a wonderful comparison. It's like a link between mountains and forests, and therefore a link between Dwarves and Elves.
I like stories featuring Pippin (and other hobbits) very much, but I also liked this one :)
Author's reply
Thanks Andrea! :) Glad you liked this story too, even without Pippin...but under us... *whispers* .... Geschichten MIT Pippin sind doch die Besten! *G*
Ah! Told from the POV of one of the more aware trees in Fangorn! Wonderful!
See, you CAN do it, you know--write stories that involve other characters, that is.
Author's reply
I have lots of stories involving other characters :P just besides those other characters there is also always Pip inside..but its not all ONLY Pip stories..I mean he has to interact wirh someone now and then. *g*.
Anyway there just cannot be enough stories with that Hobbit!
Glad you like the story! :)

· Chapter 15: Little niece Emmi
This may just be one of my favorites of your stories. I think that this one and "The Flute" are my favorites. This is adorable. I love Pippin's joy in his new little neice and I also enjoyed how he shared this with Merry. Very entertaining!
Author's reply
*g* Thanks GW! Glad you enjoyed the story. And Pip just has to share it with Merry, don´t you think? I mean its his Merry and it really is sad, when one will never have any nieces and nephews.
I can feel with Merry there!

Emerald has got Pippin wrapped around her little finger! This was flufftastic!
I also really liked the cradle song that you incorporated.
Author's reply
Thanks Celeritas :) Emerald is a Took... that explains everything. ;)

· Chapter 15: Little niece Emmi
Aw, what a sweet little story!
And I think Larner used the perfect expression concerning cute little babies: enchantment! That's exactly what I felt when the wee little daughter of my friend was placed in my arms for the very first time. So cute! But like Pippin I was a little bit afraid. Now, she's already three years old - and still cute :)
Merry (as Pippin's protector) had to find out that his little cousin was now a protector himself! Well, time is flying! And in the end Merry found himself enchanted by the little baby, too! Very nice and very true!
And, of course, I recognised the song, "Schlaf, Kindlein, schlaf...". Did you translate it? It sounded very well in English!
Author's reply
Glad you liked it Andrea! :)
The song I did not translate myself, but found the english translation of it online. However I found it fitting. Just the last verse...terrible..something with when the child does not sleep and stops crying then the farmers dog will come and bites it dead. :-/

Ah--the enchantment of babies spreads from one young Hobbit to another and another!
Wonderful!
And did you say "pea-butt?" Oookay!
Author's reply
*g* Yep Pea-butt! I found it fitting for the behind of an Hobbit babe. :P
Thanks for reading!

How adorable that Pip was able to lure Merry into enjoying the baby as much as he did.
Author's reply
Thanks for reading :) And Pip is good at luring Merry into something and I guess his niece has the Took Charme as well. ;)

Jana! This is absolutely amazing! You are a wonderful poet, and in a language not your own! The imagery just glowed, and your rhymes and rhythm were just right!

Sometimes, wonders do happen.
They do, indeed!
How very clever of Frodo to turn the writing lesson into a game. And the outcome was very funny.
“Merry steps crazily on a cow-pat.” LOL!!! Just imagine that!
I love to read and review all those wonderful stories here. When I happen to find a German one I'm really happy about it and place a German review.
But I also know that for you it means double work. And time is precious! So don't worry, I'll be fine.
Vielen Dank für die schöne Geschichte :)

Hello,

Hello!
