Wow. How in the world did Gimli go to Valinor without Legolas? Oh, Aragorn and Arwen are dead too. How did Eldarion (and Legolas) let all this encroachment happen (specifically the new ‘Rivendell’)?

Ohhh Legolas, you belong in the motherless group with everyone else: Théodred same time as you, Elrond & Elros, really young, Éowyn, Faramir, Éomer, and Boromir, and Frodo, less young. Aragorn, and probably Gimli, at some point… Sam, Lothíriel, and her brothers, all possibly before the war… Technically Arwen and her brothers, at some point. I really did write a list of this.

Ah. Another thing he has not inherited is the wisdom and long life. Plus I should think Faramir also has good eyes. He certainly doesn’t have bad ones. …Now that could be a story. If someone had bad eyesight and/or glasses. I guess Faramir has inherited his hair from the Mithrellas, then! Wow.

Boromir is a cow! Boromir is not a cow! Boromir sides with Sam about Bill! Boromir loves Minas Tirith as much as Sam likes Hobbiton! Side note: I feel like Legolas and Gimli don’t talk about wanting to go home nearly as much. I guess because Legolas is already friends with Aragorn, and wants to help him. Though I suppose Gimli does wish for some stone when they get to the planes, and he rather goes on a bit about what he thinks Moria is like. And they each sing a song about their famed kin. Boromir doesn’t.

Ah. If only Faramir knew, (or could guess) and explain. Even more, how does Arwen not know what taters are? Aragorn knows. Hmmmm and Sam would know Faramir knew Boromir liked potatoes so would know he was lying. Unless Boromir lied to the company for some reason. Wait, so Faramir does know taters are potatoes. Think Ithilien, Faramir. …If only it had been Faramir who overheard him first.

First off, slow down Legolas. OK, now that we have your attention.: First off, this is some sort of revenge for Gimli going on and on about the Caves of Helm’s Deep. If only he were here. Secondly, shouldn’t Elves do some of the work? Thirdly, what Noldor Elves are you hoping for?—the only ones I can think of are the children of Elrond, (and I guess other Rivendell Elves) and Celeborn, and Celeborn grew up Sindar. Fourthly, yes you should talk to Faramir about this…or rather don’t because he wouldn’t be able to bear it as well as Aragorn and Arwen. Just forget it all, Legolas. Though I guess if you wanted to clear Minas Morgul and return it to the Tower of th Moon they wouldn’t mind you doing that. Plus you are an Elf, so may have some more luck than them. Fifthly, Arwen. Sixthly, “Who IS this Elf?”* *Has he been talking—er listening—with too many lords of Gondor?

You would think in that summer that Frodo was saying good bye to his haunts he may have told Fatty.

Ah yes. I just hope Boromir gets a hold of himself before the other such uniformed men see him. Or maybe he will find them, or they him, and they will form a secret club? With Faramir too perhaps? I wonder what Hurin and Imrahil and any other kin will think? —That didn’t originally include Denethor, but him too. I hope he sees Boromir first before the lords do.

Second time reading this, but I don’t think I read the others… The thought that occurred to me this time was “Boromir had left his post, on account of his brother and their dog, but Beregond left his post on account of his lord(s) and was exiled”. Though I think the exiling was actually for killing the men, and his valour in the war canceled his leaving without permission. But anyway, let’s have more stories with grown up Faramir and dogs…and probably Elboron, etc.!

This was Beregond’s point of view? Well done. I suppose if we don’t mind Faramir thinking of Aragorn as master, it could be Faramir’s point of view. Actually, now that I think about it, I don’t think Beregond would think of either of them as master. Still, nicely done.

Good. Usually people forget they were Imrahil’s family too. Usually we don’t remember that his own family suffered at least somewhat. And if not as much from the war, Lothíriel soon moved to Rohan. I am glad too see Elboron!
