Larner · 26 March 2007 · Chapter 7: Coming to Life - Arwen
She was created to know joy and fulfillment, and I rejoice she found it with her husband.
Author's reply
I do like to think that she found happiness in her choice.

Larner · 26 March 2007 · Chapter 6: Honey - Pippin and Gandalf
Yes, a fool of a Took.
Larner · 26 March 2007 · Chapter 4: Shards - Isildur
Ah, if he only knew just how the Ring had managed to slip Its own triumph past his awareness. BTW, he carried it in a locket, according to Unfinished Tales.
Author's reply
Yes, the ring thoroughly deceived Isildur.
Larner · 26 March 2007 · Chapter 3: Tall Tales - Bilbo and Estel
Ah, our sly Bilbo.
Author's reply
Yes, Bilbo quite enjoyed telling stories to rapt audiences, but had to leave out a few details. ;-)
Larner · 26 March 2007 · Chapter 1: Lost Love - Elrond & Celebrian
Grief indeed.
Radbooks · 26 March 2007 · Chapter 46: Out of a clear blue sky - Aragorn and Elrohir
Oh, that was quite amusing, Misty. It's nice to see Aragorn relaxing and at peace here. Those times were so few and far between and I'm sure they were much treasured by both him and his brothers. Nicely done!
Author's reply
Thanks. I do think they deserved moments of levity and peace every now and then. There's a reason Aragorn wasn't in too much of a rush to get revenge. He was enjoying the day too much to be upset.
shirebound · 26 March 2007 · Chapter 46: Out of a clear blue sky - Aragorn and Elrohir
What a delightful moment between these brothers! It's lovely to see all three enjoying a peaceful, teasing moment in each other's company.
Author's reply
Thanks. I thought they deserved a break from the usual angst and serious stuff that I put them through. :) Every now and then I just have to do a bit of humor.
harrowcat · 26 March 2007 · Chapter 45: Elrond's Gift - Glorfindel, Elrond
What a wonderful pondering on the nature of a good friend Misty! Another chapter I shall treasure.
Author's reply
Thanks. I'm glad you're enjoying my little challenge stories. I do enjoy writing them.
shirebound · 23 March 2007 · Chapter 45: Elrond's Gift - Glorfindel, Elrond
Elrond still did not lose his ability to love The Peredhel was one of the noblest and most selfless beings that Glorfindel had ever met, and it was his privilege to count Elrond as his friend. What a beautiful tribute, and it's a treat to see Elrond through Glorfindel's eyes, heart, and memory.
Author's reply
Thank you. I doubt Elrond saw himself that way, but sometimes our closest friends see us in a different light. :) I felt that Glorfindel would see the amazing qualities in Elrond that he did not really see in himself.
Larner · 23 March 2007 · Chapter 45: Elrond's Gift - Glorfindel, Elrond
How wonderful that Elrond's past is so well and lovingly remembered, and his greatest gift--that of loving with the whole of his heart and seeking to heal the hearts as well as the bodies of others is so celebrated, and by such a one as Glorfindel. Very nice, Misty.
Author's reply
Thanks. The fact that Elrond is so able and willing to love from the depths of his heart after all those he has lost is nothing short of amazing to me, and I felt that Glorfindel would agree with me. :) I love writing Elrond. He's one of my favorite characters.
Larner · 7 March 2007 · Chapter 44: Motivation to Endure (Elrond, Glorfindel)
A wonderful look at the future through the present. No question they prepared Aragorn well.
Author's reply
Thank you. I'm sure they all did everything they could to help him prepare for the future they hoped he would have.
Larner · 7 March 2007 · Chapter 43: Summer Storm - Legolas
I would say you did very well indeed, Misty. A wonderful look at the good storms can and do accomplish.
Author's reply
Thanks. I have always loved watching storms, and they do truly do so much good. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
harrowcat · 7 March 2007 · Chapter 44: Motivation to Endure (Elrond, Glorfindel)
Wow, Misty! Motivation to endure for us all I think. And what a responsibility for parents and families to provide such a childhood for our youngsters! Again, you have packed such a lot into such a small space.
Author's reply
Yes, I agree. Love and friendship are such great motivations for all of us. Thanks.
shirebound · 6 March 2007 · Chapter 44: Motivation to Endure (Elrond, Glorfindel)
It is true that Aragorn must make this journey on his own, but he will not be alone This is so loving, Misty. Beautiful.
Author's reply
Thank you. I love writing the close family type of stories.
Tiari Clovis · 1 March 2007 · Chapter 43: Summer Storm - Legolas
Such a beautiful piece of work. I was able to get a very clear image of the scene. Very well done
Author's reply
Thank you. This was an exercise in descriptive writing for me, so I'm very glad the imagery came across so clearly.
harrowcat · 31 January 2007 · Chapter 43: Summer Storm - Legolas
I love thunder and lightning just as long as I am not camping at the time! Comments on your descriptive writing? Hmm.... wonderful, evocative, clever, accurate, almost audible, Fantastic! Enough yet? *grins and wanders off to find a dictionary.*
Author's reply
Thanks. :) I really appreciate the comments. Descriptive writing is something I really have to work at, so this is a great thing to hear. And I love watching lightning storms as well, as long as I can do it from the safety of a nice dry house. ;-) Thanks again.
shirebound · 28 January 2007 · Chapter 43: Summer Storm - Legolas
The trees took such joy in the rain that the elf could not help but join in. How wonderful. This makes me want to go dancing in the rain. :D
Author's reply
Thanks. And I certainly wouldn't mind dancing in the rain either, as long as the elf was there. ;-)
Larner · 27 December 2006 · Chapter 42: The Greatest Gift - Gilraen, Elrond, Estel
Yes, Aragorn has a sense of home and family, and the family and household of Elrond has one more chance to know the delight of seeing a child grow, happily and well, within the borders of Imladris, one more moment of lightness after the long loss of wife and mother, one last moment of innocence before the dark closes in once more.
Larner · 27 December 2006 · Chapter 41: King of the Dead
Wonderful movie moment here. I love it when the King of the Dead and his people find their peace at last. Well described from the King's pov.
shirebound · 27 December 2006 · Chapter 42: The Greatest Gift - Gilraen, Elrond, Estel
Holding a new gift, he darted from elf to elf, climbing up in a lap to share his new treasure, only to climb back down a moment later to visit another. "I do not see how any could be around him and not come to love him." Awwww. *hugs him*
harrowcat · 27 December 2006 · Chapter 42: The Greatest Gift - Gilraen, Elrond, Estel
Having just spent an afternoon entertaining my 2 year old Nephew this rings so true! Lovely Misty.
harrowcat · 15 December 2006 · Chapter 41: King of the Dead
Hmmm... I feel a re-watch coming on. 'Tis the Season'....to have a spare 12 hours hours for indulgence. This is a section of the film that I actually kind of liked. The King of the dead is a very full character to say he is on screen for such a short time and you have mde him even better. Apart from that he always reminds me of certain cursed pirates!
Author's reply
You're right that we don't see much of the character, but he does seem very 'alive', if I can use that to describe a ghost, for the time that he is seen. Actually, now that you mention it, yes he does. I'm glad you enjoyed this. It was a very different type of story for me to write.
shirebound · 14 December 2006 · Chapter 41: King of the Dead
But we must take this chance. We will fight. Misty, I don't think I've read anything before from this point of view. Very well done.
Author's reply
Thank you. It was definitely a different POV to try writing from.
harrowcat · 14 December 2006 · Chapter 40: Warmth - Aragorn
*Brrr..* the warm blanket feels good but the warmth of the family welcome even better. I wish it would snow here!
Author's reply
Yes, the warmth of the family is the most important kind, isn't it? I don't actually like snow if I have to get out in it... kind of like Aragorn. ;-)
Larner · 14 December 2006 · Chapter 40: Warmth - Aragorn
Yes, the wandering son has managed to return home.
Author's reply
Even if he had to wander through a snowstorm to do it. ;-) I'm sure he was quite glad to finally find his way home.
