it's good to see another chapter of this great story. I can't even begin to understand the odd position Aragorn is in, but, I am glad that he is no longer alone. As for the twins - can't wait for that chapter, now that daernaneth knows all about it.... *shiver*

Author's reply

I definitely feel worse for Aragorn than for the twins in this story. He's alone in ways that they can't even imagine, though at least now he has Gandalf. At least the twins are themselves with their families. I am about to start the next twins chapter, and I think you'll enjoy it. At least I hope you will. ;-)

Calenlass Greenleaf · 18 November 2006 · Chapter 8: Aragorn, Chapter 4

A nice, long chapter. Like it a lot! Update soon...please? LOL.

Author's reply

LOL I'll update as soon as I can, but since I need to start the next chapter, it will be a little while. I have things in mind for the twins, but just got this chapter finished up, so you'll have to give me a little bit of time to write the next. I'm glad you're enjoying it, though. :)

harrowcat · 18 November 2006 · Chapter 8: Aragorn, Chapter 4

I am in constant admiration of the way that your mind works Misty. This is winding itself in ever more complicated coils. I look forward to seeing how it works itself out. And see if my own guesses are accurate. *g* It will be interesting when Galadriel and Gandalf get together, both sworn to silence!

Author's reply

LOL And it will get even more complicated before the end! Trust me on this. *eg* But I do hope you'll enjoy coming along for the ride when all is said and done. Just a quick reminder. The twins and Aragorn are in different timelines. The Galadriel that knows the future thing is with the twins, and Gandalf is with Aragorn, so they won't meet. I couldn't make this story work if I put them all in the same timeline, which will become clear much later.

harrowcat · 20 October 2006 · Chapter 7: Twins, Chapter 4

Hmm... do you know the saying 'oh what tangled webs we weave when first we practise to deceive'? It goes very well with this.

Author's reply

Yes, but how much can they tell others without messing up the timeline? They're trapped in a very sticky situation not of their doing and struggling to do what's right. But yes, they are having a very tough time deceiving everyone. They don't want to do it, but don't see another choice.

vampfan30 · 18 October 2006 · Chapter 7: Twins, Chapter 4

another great chapter, full of tense ,near-unbearable suspense. I really feel for the twins.....

Author's reply

Thanks. The twins are really having a rough time hiding so much from the ones they love and trust. How much will they be able to successfully hide? Only time will tell.

Calenlass Greenleaf · 18 October 2006 · Chapter 7: Twins, Chapter 4

*Groans and stares at the moniter* OHHH...did you have to stop? I loved this story from the beginning, and I still do.

Author's reply

Well, I had to stop the chapter somewhere, didn't I? ;-) I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Ellie · 12 September 2006 · Chapter 6: Aragorn, Chapter 3

WHat a great chapter. Love the inquisitive bodyguard turning healer that Eradan is. Enjoying this very much and looking forward to more.

harrowcat · 11 September 2006 · Chapter 6: Aragorn, Chapter 3

Well I am glad that Aragorn didn't forget what was happening despite the concussion but why do I have the feeling that his words in the cave may come back to haunt him later! *g*

Author's reply

At the moment, I have it in mind that Arathorn was completely out and didn't hear what Aragorn said, but the possibility is there that I may choose to do something with it later, if the plot needs Arathorn to remember. ;-) So, no promises one way or the other.

vampfan30 · 10 September 2006 · Chapter 6: Aragorn, Chapter 3

yet another on the edge of the seat chapter... poor Aragorn, he seems to be having a rough time keeping himself safe, but doing just fine with everyone else's safety. As for his father, wow, to be able to keep close to someone lost so long ago, it can't be anything short of liberating but, at the same time, stressful to keep up appearances. love this story, looking forward to the next chapter......

Author's reply

Yes, I do feel sorry for Aragorn. While he's doing great at keeping Arathorn safe, he's going to develop a reputation all over again of being trouble-prone if he's not careful. I think he is truly enjoying being with his father, but I know he would much rather be known for himself. Thanks for the review.

Calenlass Greenleaf · 5 September 2006 · Chapter 5: Twins, Chapter 3

wow. You're spinning a really great story. I'm still intrigued, and waiting your next update...

harrowcat · 24 August 2006 · Chapter 5: Twins, Chapter 3

ooh, I am awful at jokes or pranks too but I am looking forward to the next chapter. I am glad that they didn't think they could hide this from Galadriel. And I am sorry to say but I think that her instincts about changing Celebrien's history is probably accurate.

Author's reply

Well, I've had a couple of suggestions sent to me for pranks, so we'll just see what fits the story. I definitely think that Galadriel has a point as well. She is a very wise elf, after all. ;-)

harrowcat · 18 July 2006 · Chapter 4: Aragorn, Chapter 2

Aragorn is getting into deep water here even though it all seems peaceful. I am finding this to be an intriguing story Misty.

Author's reply

Thank you. Yes, all seems peaceful for the moment, but Aragorn is walking a very fine line in this situation. We'll just have to see how things develop.

vampfan30 · 17 July 2006 · Chapter 4: Aragorn, Chapter 2

I can not say how interesting this story is... the idea of going back to a pivotal point in your life & having the chance to change things ... is it a good thing or a bad thing? So many questions to ask , so many ways that you can actually make a thing worse. And seeing yourself as a child & getting to know yourself (literally) & getting to reknow your parents, wow, so much to rego through : love this...

Author's reply

Thanks! I think most people have wondered at some point in their life, what would happen if we could go back and change something in our past? Would we make things better or worse? You're right that it could go either way. Aragorn is getting a unique chance to get to know his family again from a different perspective. As to whether Aragorn's choice will make things better or worse, that has yet to be seen...

Calenlass Greenleaf · 16 July 2006 · Chapter 4: Aragorn, Chapter 2

I have 1 word to say about this chapter: superb and well-written. The part about Argorn seeing himself as a two-year-old is really sweet.

Author's reply

Technically, that's two words. ;-) But thanks for those words. I'm glad you're enjoying this. I can imagine that it was quite strange for Aragorn to see himself as a two-year-old.

pipinheart · 25 June 2006 · Chapter 3: Twins, Chapter 2

Love it!!! This is a great story... but I wonder if Elrond won't figure something strange about the twins, and in altering the future does it make other events untrue. Aragorn as well may find himself explaining, can't wait to here more... Update soon, Please!

Author's reply

Well, there is always the danger that one change will lead to other changes and so on and so forth. We'll just have to see what changes occur in both timelines. And yes, Aragorn's actions have aroused some suspicion in those around him. I'm glad you're enjoying this.

grumpy · 24 June 2006 · Chapter 2: Aragorn, Chapter 1

Well this is going to be different for Aragorn, to be able to see himself as a child, and to ride with his father. Already he has the twins confused.

vampfan30 · 21 June 2006 · Chapter 3: Twins, Chapter 2

wow, so far, so very interesting.....

Author's reply

Thanks, I hope you find the rest of the story just as interesting.

Calenlass Greenleaf · 17 June 2006 · Chapter 2: Aragorn, Chapter 1

Wow! Such a good chapter-I can't wait until the next. One reason that I like some AUs is that they're unpredictable and they make me want to read them.

Author's reply

Yes, stories like this are inherently unpredictable, as changing everything around is the whole point of the exercise. I do hope this holds your interest as it continues. Thanks for the reviews.

Calenlass Greenleaf · 10 June 2006 · Chapter 1: Twins, Chapter 1

Well written---I find it difficult sometimes to write AU. Hope you update soon---I am enjoying the story immensely.

Fire · 9 June 2006 · Chapter 1: Twins, Chapter 1

This is a very nice piece of work. I love how you put what we know and your idea's together. The scene with Glorfindel in the library was funny, now how could they forget the first rule: check your suroundings. I love this: "Elrohir closed his eyes in dismay as he recognized the voice. He opened his eyes again and shifted his glance toward his brother. "I don't suppose you checked to be sure the room was empty before you pushed me in here?" Elladan's expression was a bit sheepish. "I didn't think to check." You also described the twins "new" fighting style Glorfindel watched very well: "His breath caught in his throat as he caught sight of the twins. They stood back to back and moved as if they were one being, each knowing where the other was and exactly what move he would make. They were a glorious, and yet horrible sight to see. Their faces were fearsome to behold, as they cut down every orc who ventured too close. The rage and pain in their faces and movements stood out clearly to distinguish them from the elves he knew. Glorfindel had trained them as young elves, and he had seen them in battle on numerous patrols, but he had never seen them like this. Their story of Dehlfalhen and Glamferaen rang true in his head at this moment." Keep up the good work and keep the updates coming. :)

Author's reply

I did certainly enjoy writing the scenes with Glorfindel. I have a feeling he's going to be an integral part of the story. And the twins definitely should have checked the room before they started talking. ;-) I'm certainly glad you're enjoying this, and I do appreciate the reviews. Next chapter will be up next week.

Jay of Lasgalen · 9 June 2006 · Chapter 1: Twins, Chapter 1

Hmm. The twins have more-or-less successfully deluded everyone into thinking there's nothing odd, and have saved Celebrían. The patrol has killed the orcs, and no-one is hurt. So why do I feel that something ominous is looming? What effect will changing the past have? Without the need to become deadly orc-killers, the twins will be different. Perhaps not the seasoned warriors Aragorn needs. Perhaps orcs will multiply more than before. Hmm ... I'm glad I've never tried to write a changing-the-past story! Jay

Author's reply

Well, things cannot help but develop differently with the twins not being the 'deadly orc-killers' that they were the first time around. I'm still working out a lot of the details for the changes that will happen. I think that's the trickiest part of all this, figuring out how one change will affect everything else. As for something ominous...well, we've all been warned about changing the past, right? ;-)

Fire · 5 June 2006 · Chapter 0: Prologue

WOW, what a take of point. you sure know how to get someones attention. I wonder who the person is that send them back. And who Aragorn will be.

Author's reply

I'm glad it caught your attention. Some of your questions will be answered soon, while others will have to wait for awhile. ;-) I hope you enjoy the rest of the story.

Jay of Lasgalen · 4 June 2006 · Chapter 0: Prologue

What an intriguing start. I'm curious about the mysterious person who decided so arbitrarily to send them all back, though. Why? To what purpose? Looking forward to more! Jay

Author's reply

I'm glad this caught your interest. The answers to that question won't come for some time yet, however. Many things must happen before that is revealed.

harrowcat · 3 June 2006 · Chapter 0: Prologue

Ooh, great if dangerous start Misty - looking forward to more.

Author's reply

Thank you. I have many things planned for this story. ;-)
