Yes, to beg for life at this point would be the right thing to do. Nice working of the book into this story.
Author's reply
I liked that too! :) Hantanyel, my dear Larner, for enjoying! Nanarie, God bless, Antane :)
Larner · 23 July 2007 · Chapter 15: The Sound of Laughter
One of the more joyful movie-moments. And am praying for your relative's relative.
Author's reply
I love that scene - angelic brothers they looked like - and the companion one of Sam looking so tenderly and lovingly down at his treasure when they reunite in the tower. Hantanyel for your prayers! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
Periantari · 22 July 2007 · Chapter 15: The Sound of Laughter
wow how beautifully written and full of lovet this drabble was! There was much our hearts and eyes spoke, things others will never know. But for all to see was how very much I love you and how proud I am of you and I saw your love for me. You did it, my dear. You did it. I love these last two lines ...especially mentioning the fact that there will be things that Sam and Frodo would share that no one will ever know or understand. aww lovely job, Antane! ::and praying for your brother-in-law:: Cancer is a horrible disease to have. :( Best luck battling it for him...
Author's reply
Hantanyel for all your kind words and your prayers! Sam is just bursting with love and so was Frodo at that moment. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
Baggins Babe · 22 July 2007 · Chapter 15: The Sound of Laughter
I've always loved that scene - they both seem to shine and the look they give each other is full of love and the memories of things to be shared with no-one else. No words were necessary. You capture Sam's thoughts beautifully - now I wonder if you will write a sequel from Frodo's POV. *bats eyelashes*
Author's reply
I wonder indeed. We shall see... Hantanyel for your kind words - you got that scene nailed - no words needed when you share the same heart and soul. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
harrowcat · 22 July 2007 · Chapter 15: The Sound of Laughter
A lovely rendition of this scene Antane. And, of course, prayers for your Brother-in law's brother.

Armariel · 21 July 2007 · Chapter 15: The Sound of Laughter
A lovely moment, one of my favorites in the movie. Actually I thought it was perfect, just the look without any words or movements, just the sheer radiance and love pouring out between them. ~~~~{~@
Author's reply
And I love that all sounds fades out and it's just them, totally focused on each other and nothing else. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
shirebound · 21 July 2007 · Chapter 15: The Sound of Laughter
You were all right. You were clean and washed and so bright and beautiful, you could have outshone the sun. I could have looked at you like that all my life and been content. Oh Antane, how lovely.
Author's reply
Hantanyel, shirebound! Glad you enjoyed. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
Queen Galadriel · 21 July 2007 · Chapter 15: The Sound of Laughter
I love that movie moment! A friend once told me when we watched it (I for the first time and she for the second), "Oh, you can see the waves of love flowing between them." And I love your rendering of Sam's thoughts here. God bless, Galadriel
Author's reply
Yup, tons of hobbity love, you could have happily drowned there - and not just Frodo and Sam but Merry and Pippin too climbing up onto Frodo's bed and hugging him and hugging again and so so joyful! Hantanyel, ammelda! Namarie, God bless, Melinyel, Antane :)
Queen Galadriel · 21 July 2007 · Chapter 14: Independence Day
Sorry, didn't realize I'd missed this! Oh, how terrible Bilbo must have felt when he realized that he had wished, however briefly, for Frodo's death so that he would again possess the Ring! *shudders* I love the way you show them taking quiet comfort in one another, helping one another as they struggled to gain that freedom and the end was just perfect! Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, my dear! God bless, Galadriel
Elemmírë · 6 July 2007 · Chapter 14: Independence Day
How terrible the thoughts came that if Frodo died, it would be his again. How much, however briefly, he had longed for that. How he had nearly attacked the one dearest to him when he had asked to see it again, just a peep, he had said. And he knew he was not free of it and his beloved nephew was becoming ensnared by it as well. He had seen the terrible fear and jealous possessiveness that had come into those formerly so bright and innocent, carefree eyes. Wow! Now that's a very chilling concept that I don't believe I've read about before--Bilbo contemplating the Ring would be his again if Frodo died! Poor Bilbo--although at least he can now more easily recognize the lust the Ring has created in him. Another point you made that I found interesting and one I hadn't quite thought of in that way before was that both Bilbo and Gollum had hope in seeing the Ring again, whereas Frodo had no hope and knew it was gone forever ... along with a piece of himself. That was really cool too, how you had Frodo and Bilbo freely casting overboard their Ring chains. That was an important first step for them both in their journey of healing. A very apt and appropriate "Independence Day" tale, my dear! :D ~Elemmírë~
Author's reply
Hannon le, dear Elemmire! Always glad to hear from you! :) I wanted to do something for the 4th and this is what came up. Very chilling indeed that momentary thought of Bilbo's and how he must have hated himself for it. I didn't know how that would be rec'd. I'm glad you liked the tale! Namarie, God bless, Melinyel, Antane :)
Armariel · 5 July 2007 · Chapter 14: Independence Day
How nice for both! Would have liked to see a few fireworks from Gandalf, however;);) Happy Independence day, a little late:D ===* <---a firecracker;)

Maybe next year! How very nice indeed and hannon le for reading and reviewing! Cute firecracker. :) Namarie, God bless, Antane
Larner · 4 July 2007 · Chapter 14: Independence Day
Ah,yes--there would indeed be joy on THAT day! Happy independence day!
Author's reply
Joy indeed - hannon le, dear Larner! I must have been reading Stolen too quickly to realize it was after Frodo knew the nature of the Ring (skimming because I couldn't stand to be around Lotho). I'm sure Frodo would take it back as soon as he found out about who stole it - that would be interesting thing to see if they were both taken by the Ring-lust - a eerie foreshadowing of what the struggle on Mt. Doom would be like, though we know Frodo had all this fingers up to that point. Being intrigued with seeing more is balanced with loathing to see more of Lotho. Looking forward to more of Enemy Made though. Glad the queen has read it. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

harrowcat · 19 May 2007 · Chapter 13: The Garden
Sorry Antane - taken a long time to review this. My favourite bit? ...... Sometimes in the rain So it could hide his tears He continued to pour his love and hope into the garden that Had always been tended for another,
Queen Galadriel · 12 May 2007 · Chapter 13: The Garden
Yes, this could indeed apply to either one, but I had a very vivid image of Frodo walking through a garden, reading this. I really like the slight suspense at the end. Lovely! God bless, Galadriel
Author's reply
Hantanyel, ammelda! I wanted to do it so both could be the one there - I love the idea of Frodo making a garden for his Sam and I saw Sam in always wishing his Frodo would be there (which of course Frodo would wish for his Sam, but for some reason it seemed more strongly to suggest Sam's longing there). Did you get my "fear"ful email? Has the conspiracy been unmasked? :) Namarie, God bless, Melinyel, Antane :)
Queen Galadriel · 12 May 2007 · Chapter 12: Frodo's Lament
Oh, wow! Wow! Oh, that is heart-rending! I think I read this before on your site, but it's like the poignancy just struck me for the first time. Amazing job--both of you! God bless, Galadriel
Author's reply
Hantanyel, ammelda! I realized that I hadn't posted it here so finally got around to it. I'm glad you and everyone else thought it fit well. Namarie, God bless, Melinyel, Antane :)
Larner · 12 May 2007 · Chapter 13: The Garden

Larner · 12 May 2007 · Chapter 12: Frodo's Lament
Indeed, a moment to mourn as Frodo looks on the devastation wrought on the Shire by Lotho, Sharkey, and their brigands. Love the imagery, and Frodo wishing he had a third hand for Pippin to hold as well as Sam and Merry.
Author's reply
That was my favorite part too! Great mind think alike. :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Armariel · 12 May 2007 · Chapter 12: Frodo's Lament
A wonderful, poignant piece. You and your friend have done well! I don't know what you know of great sorrow and it's not my business, but you always manage to get it across very nicely. ~~~{~@
Author's reply
Fortunately not much at all, but I think when it comes I may be able to handle it a lot better from working Frodo through his grief and learning a lot myself about how healing being in presence of God can be as he has found in my various tales. Hantanyel for enjoying both pieces! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
harrowcat · 12 May 2007 · Chapter 12: Frodo's Lament
The first is absolutely hilarious and this is just wonderful. But I got so confused, (okay it is early morning!) I read the synopis about computer problems and then the author alert took me to the lament. Try reading the lament as if Frodo is mourning the death and loss of his computer. Especially when I got to this line I did what I thought best But none can ever replace...Will I just live with this empty, empty space? With a composed air, and duty first, I know, while this lonely, silent sorrow does not show I felt so silly when I worked out how I had mis-understood!
Author's reply
A double hantanyel, my dear harrowcat! So glad you enjoyed both. Sorry you misunderstood though - that will show me not to post first and change my synopis sescond. :) Indeed, what would we do without computers. I feel the same way as Frodo when I can't get into my e-mail. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
Telpethoron · 12 May 2007 · Chapter 12: Frodo's Lament
This is so very moving - I can only imagine the horror Frodo and the others must have felt upon returning to find the Shire ravaged by Saruman and his minions. Their world was turned upside down in more ways than one. Well done, as always!
Author's reply
Thank you so much, though I can't really take credit for this one since it was so well written already by someone else and I just added a little. I'm glad you enjoyed! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
Andrea · 30 January 2007 · Chapter 11: Computer Problems
"My dear Frodo, computers can be just as surprising as hobbits. You never know what they are going to do next sometimes." LOL!!! That's so true! And using "conflustergation" in this story was great! No wonder, no one else understood that ;-) P.S.: I know a lot about Windows computers, but what is Blackberry? Of course, if you ask a hobbit, blackberry and blueberry is just the same - they all taste wonderful!
Author's reply
A Blackberry is a real fancy cell phone - doesn't just ring but you can send e-mail from it and all sorts of things. Thanks for your review! So glad you enjoyed! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
Elemmírë · 30 January 2007 · Chapter 11: Computer Problems
This is uproariously funny, my dear Antane!!! (and too cute to boot) Aragorn's Blueberry/Blackberry ... Just the image of Frodo with a laptop ... Gandalf the Computer Help Wizard (I used to have some program name Wizard Help or Zip Wizard or something or other) Conflustergation makes a return!!! (I sooo love that word!) The Halls house the spirits of the dead, my dear boy, not dead messages ROTFL!! Sam emailing Frodo news pics of the family and Frodo using them as his screensaver and wallpaper .... Well done! ~Elemmírë~ p.s. Does Frodo use Windows ME for Middle-earth? I also wonder what kind of spam he receives in the West, or is the Blessed Realm blessedly free of the junk?
Author's reply
No, I think maybe he uses that new Vista or whatever - imagine the vistas you would have in the West. And of course there's no spam. I have a similar screensaver and wallpaper myself, Frodo and Sam mostly with a sprinkling of Merry and Pippin. I just love the idea of them communicating this way! So glad you enjoyed! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
