· Chapter 44: Captain of the White Tower
I don't trust titles of chapters. But I was keeping my fingers crossed. The only Captain of the White Tower I know is............
BOROMIR. Hooray! Not forgotten. At long last. (Can you tell I'm excited?)
Of course, you leave him in as much jeopardy as you do his brother. But a great chapter nonetheless. I'm sure Merry will persuade the Rangers to HURRY!
Good grief but this is a fun book.
PS - I can't stop reviewing. You make it easy with good writing and great plot twists... and favorite characters!

· Chapter 43: Pain
I'm so sorry they didn't try to hide. I understand Eowyn's mind, but why didn't Faramir and Legolas and Pippin run and hide? Eowyn could have said they fled during the night or something.
Yikes! And Faramir - is he now scarred? *heavy sigh*

Yikes! I was sure they were going to get away!

· Chapter 41: The dark before dawn
I love the thought of Aragorn being with Eomer. And Pip staying behind to watch over Eowyn. Nice touch.

· Chapter 40: Isenguard
Loved the roots for feet. Poor Merry. To be so engrossed to miss such an important detail!!!

· Chapter 46: A hidden truth
That is an awful cliffhanger. How will they ever get out of this fix? It seems to get darker and darker from chapter to chapter. I fear for Eowyn. If she gets detected too early... At least they are rid of Grima.

· Chapter 45: Games
So, Boromir is still alive, but for how long? And how long can Legolas, Faramir and Pippin hold out? What is with the other parts of the fellowship? It is time they all get a break. I'm very curious how you will get to the end of this story.

· Chapter 44: Captain of the White Tower
I just stumbled across this story and I'm reading for the last days. I love it. But don't tell me you just brought Boromir into the story to kill him off immediately. I guess, I have to read on to find out.

At last, a wee bit of peace. Phew - much needed.

· Chapter 37: Nowhere to run
OK... so you didn't make every part of this a cliffhanger... but poor Sam and Frodo and Merry.
I'm glad Gimli is with Pippin. Sad that Aragorn is there too. So perhaps these will be the Three Hunters.
And Legolas and Faramir - good to see them having a laugh together!

You've got me biting my nails. And what a quandary for poor Legolas - and yet, he shows his true colors.

I can't believe this! A Nazgul..............
And Faramir might yet live......
And Gimli shoving the boat away...........
And Merry............
Yikes! And Yikes again!!!!

Never expected any of this. Except perhaps Pippin.
You have written an astounding chapter. Finely tuned. I can't even begin to imagine where you are going with this, but I'm along for the ride!!!

It was nice that you ended such a sorrow-filled chapter with a little levity. It was needed.

· Chapter 29: The lady of the golden wood
Honestly -- I don't know whether Faramir should look or not.
And the star thing was touching. Poor Faramir. I do so hope, being a lover of Boromir, that his dreams of Boromir's death will not come true. Yet even the Master killed Boromir off. Perhaps it is the only way Aragorn can become king of the White City.
*heavy sigh*

· Chapter 28: Divided loyalties
Wow. This is a chilling chapter. Legolas is right in being afraid for Aragorn, even if he hasn't met Denethor. Personally, I'm hoping Boromir's love and respect for Faramir will allow him to accept Faramir's loyalty to Aragorn.
As for Legolas, yup - he best get some 'rest.'
Nicely written chapter.

· Chapter 26: In high places
I love seeing Sam's viewpoint. You've captured him well. Especially the part where he pulls himself together and shoves aside his fears to concentrate on his friends.

· Chapter 25: Under the eaves
Nicely resolved, even though Aragorn is suffering from his wound.
Very nicely written. I'm enjoying this tale thoroughly. Just wish the need for sleep didn't continuously impede my progress. *g*

· Chapter 24: Golden leaves
s I've said before, you are quite cruel. There the leaves of Lothlorien are, right before them, and yet you would deny them......
Oh well. All that's left is to read on.... and hope.

· Chapter 23: Freedom
Ah! You title this chapter 'Freedom' but it is not. The king comes into his own. He realizes, through Faramir's actions, that he is now to be protected. How odd for a Ranger.
And Pippin is now bound to Faramir.
A very well written chapter. I almost cried at Pippin's wounds.
