· Chapter 2: Pray For Me
*gasp* oh, Antane! This is...this is ever so sweet! Oh poor, dear Frodo. I am forever loving this story of yours. You do angst so well, and then you never fail to bring plenty of TLC. Still...my heart aches for Frodo's pain. And Sam is ever the faithful, sacrificing for his loved ones. Namarie, mell min. Ellen sila lummen ommen tielvo! God Bless, Frodo Baggins

· Chapter 11: Baptism
Brilliant Antante. It wasn't until the very end that I understood the title as all the way through I wanted to change it to 'Annunciation'. We often need a 'confessor' or 'spiritual director' and Gandalf seems to be it!
Woops! I spotted a typo. Frodo hung his head. "I feared it was so when I lost [last] saw him. But Sam would come too?"

· Chapter 11: Baptism
Wow! This chapter is full of so much meaning and so much pain, and yet it leaves me beaming!
*Oh, Frodo dear, you can't know what good it does me to see you whirling out there in the rain, smiling so radiantly! Enjoy it to the fullest, dearheart, and feel your cares washed away for a time. And that smile-it warms my heart like sunshine. I'm tempted to run out there to you this very moment and join you in basking in the rain, but I'll restrain myself lest I should disturb you. And on second thought, maybe I'd rather simply gaze upon such rare beauty.*
That says it all! Namarie, and God bless,
Galadriel

· Chapter 10: Possible Dreams
“It hurts so much to keep hoping, Sam, and have so little to show for it.”
“You have to keep doing it though, dear. Remember that tree in Gondor that Mr. Pippin showed us? It hadn’t bloomed in who knows how long, but it was still guarded vigilantly, hopefully, for the day that it would. That was a dying hope too, but it never completely withered and the people were rewarded in the end. We saw the first flowers ourselves, didn’t we? So don’t let me hear any of this giving up hope for yourself. If you don’t have any left, then take some of mine.”
Even though I prefer the book to the movie I really love the image that you have used here Antane. Great stuff!

· Chapter 1: Family
Sorry Antane,
Just one more thing, if you please. Oh, how I do love the way Frodo sings that song to Sam! He must have had a wonderful voice. Yes, another masterpiece by Queen Galadriel. She's good at masterpieces, is she not? :) Poor Sam though must have been blushing to the tips of his ears, what with "Mr. Frodo singin' about Rosie and me and all." Thanks again for such a wonderful story! Namarie! God Bless, Frodo Baggins

My dear Antane,
I am dearly sorry for how behind I've been in reading this wonderful second part to your saga. I've been dreadfully busy, what with school starting again and now preparing my first piece to become an author. So far, this story has been absolutely wonderful, which is usual for you. I am happy that you gave Frodo a happy day, almost free from care. However, my heart tells me it is probably just the calm before the storm. Poor Frodo. Keep up the wonderful work, mell min. Ellen sila lummen ommen tielvo! Namarie! God Bless, Frodo Baggins

Possible dreams, and the awareness he must leave. And the love of a child helping in the healing he needs here.

Other than the fact that they had no idea this would be a girl rather than the anticipated Frodo-lad, this is wonderful. And the idea that the birth of Elanor would overwhelm the shadow of the loss of the Ring is beautiful.

I love the symbology of the repaired mug, broken cleanly enough to be repaired and used again, helping Frodo accept he, too, may be healed again.

Lovely descriptions. Your writing improves, sweet Antane. Very well done. And love all the distractions.

· Chapter 5: Birthday Gifts
In Bookverse, of course, Frodo left Bag End that day to ride West, following the promise of healing. But it's good to see others realize that the Creator is strong enough to bear even with our rage and anger.
Glad Aragorn was able to be there, no matter how briefly.

· Chapter 10: Possible Dreams
Oh, what a beautiful chapter! But it can't be almost over so soon! He can't go yet! I know, when he does, he will be healed, and that ought to be more comfort than it is. I especially love this line:
“He’s love, Rose,” he had told her. “That’s all he is. Just pure, deep,
ever abiding love. And we are just lucky enough to have him spoil us terribly with it.”
Yes, that's the escence of our Sam. :-) God bless,
Galadriel

· Chapter 9: Anniversaries
Oh, I love this one! I'd quote my favourite parts, but there are too many! :-) I love the way you portray Rose-strong and sensible and so very gentle and sweet, like her husband. Bless, dear Sam, ever the wise comforter. He ought to have been named "full-wise." Wow, did Rose take the labour calmly or what?! I never heard of such, but it suits her. I must say, I do pity poor Sam. He must have been worried about his wife and the babe-all men are, especially with the first, or that's what I've heard and read-and worried about Frodo too. And poor Frodo, so hot. I oftne wondered how the twenty-fifth would be for him, and this seems very realistic. More, more! :-) God bless,
Galadriel

· Chapter 8: Cracked but Hope for Mending
Oh, wow! What a beautiful, powerful chapter, Antane! I love the way you use the symbolism of the teacup, and that scene between Frodo and Sam is so touching. It's heart-breaking that Frodo would see himself as being like the broken mug. I'm so glad the chapter ended on a hopeful note! And the song is beautiful and so full of promise! Very appropriate. Can't wait for more, just as always, and this was very uplifting after a rather dull and difficult day. :-) God bless,
Galadriel

Sorry for not reviewing in a while, but I've been sort of busy. Just read through what I missed and loved all of them.
As for this one, I love it too. It's kind of sad that Frodo compares himself to that broken mug, but Sam fixed it up, so there might be hope for Frodo yet. :D

Welcome back! :) Glad you love this story so much! While there's life, there's hope and while there's breath in Sam, there's hope...

If you got a strange post just then it was me - sorry. Either my computer is finally taking control as I have always suspected or I am still half asleep!
I just knew what was coming. Poor hobbits. It is often the way with chronic illness. When good days come they are appreciated so much that the low that follows is made even deeper.

· Chapter 7: The Sixth
This chapter reduced me to sniffs and sobs, and I can still hardly type. Oh, poor Frodo! I guess he knew *some* relief through the innocence, and yet that was what got me started crying. It gave me the feeling I get when I go to a nursing home and see all those poor, dear people who have returned to an innocent, childlike state. I want to do something, anything, to bring them back, and yet all that anyone can do is play along. That must have broken Sam's heart! But it was very well done. I don't think I could have, Antane. God bless,
Galadriel

· Chapter 6: A Time for Joy
Hi, Antane I am still here and still avidly reading but haven't had a chance to review much over Christmas. (I work as a Catechist for the Catholic Church so I was a mite busy!)
This is a lovely chapter but I kept holding my breath and waiting for the bubble to burst; a bit like Sam I would imagine!
Author's reply
Welcome back, harrowcat! I was beginning to wonder/get worried, but hoped you were just on vacation or something. Glad you continue to enjoy the journey! I'm Catholic myself, BTW.

Aww! Why does the next day have to be the sixth?! It was sooo wonderful to see Frodo so happy, and the little prank was delicious, my dear!! The image of our dear dignified Baggins with twigs and leaves in his hair and covered in mud and grass stains made me laugh out loud! Yes, he would look beautiful that way! But I have a sinking feeling that since he sustained two knife wounds this second time, the sixth is going to be much worse. I hate to see the three hobbits' loving tricks and exhertions to make Frodo happy go in this illness, but I can't wait to read it anyway. I congratulate you on another splendid cliff-hanger! (I've given up being frustrated...LOL!) Namarie, and God bless,
Galadriel
Author's reply
So, now, my dear, you like cliff-hangers? I'm going to have to make lots more, then! :)

It looks like Frodo is being taken care of quite nicely! Its the reason i love hobbits. I like it that Frodo decided to join in the fun. This was wonderful.
Namarie, Elanor : )
Antane, you are so funny with those author's notes of yours! What a beautiful place for that lullaby! And somehow it suits that Gandalf would sing such a thing.
This chapter made me alternate rapidly between laughing and crying. The talk and walk with Gandalf was very touching, and I know it was refreshing for Frodo. The birthday celebration, with all Pippin's nonsense, was perfect! And bless dear Sam for getting Aragorn to come! :-) And the end was superb. I watch for these updates every day, and I can't wait for more!!! God bless,
