harrowcat · 14 November 2005 · Chapter 32: Dark Night of the Soul

I am glad for the warning you posted on this chapter Antane. Very dark but well written. I appreciated the religious overtones in this too.

Author's reply

Thank you, harrowcat! This was actually going to be much darker but after watching Fellowship for about the 11th time on Saturday (I just needed to see him happy!) and seeing that beautiful, good being I just couldn't do anything more to him. Thank you for liking the religious tone also. Like Tolkien, I did not originally set out to make a story like this, but the muse (or dare I be so bold to say the Holy Spirit?) is guiding me to make this not only Frodo and Sam's love story but the love story of Frodo and his Creator. I am quite pleased with how it's turning out that way and I am so glad you are too! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Queen Galadriel · 13 November 2005 · Chapter 32: Dark Night of the Soul

Oh, poor Frodo! Sam must come soon! God bless, Galadriel

Starfire_Moonlight · 13 November 2005 · Chapter 32: Dark Night of the Soul

Poor Frodo! He feels completely alone and thinks he's been abandoned! Hurry up Sam!

Starfire_Moonlight · 12 November 2005 · Chapter 31: A Horrible Choice

What a terrible choice indeed! Poor Sam to choose between the Quest and his master/best friend. Now those filthy orcs have him, again! At least, though, Shelob won't hurt anything again (unless it be orcs hehe). Now, what are those orcs going to do with poor Frodo?

Queen Galadriel · 12 November 2005 · Chapter 31: A Horrible Choice

Nooooo!!!!!!! That is such a terrible cliff-hanger! Oh, poor, poor Sam...to have to make such a horrible choice! I couldn't do it. Please update soon! God bless, Galadriel

harrowcat · 12 November 2005 · Chapter 31: A Horrible Choice

I know what I want to do to Shelob. I've known ever since I first read the books over thirty years ago but it isn't repeatable and I would be sued for cruelty to monsters! Go, Sam, go!

harrowcat · 11 November 2005 · Chapter 30: The Stairs

Good old, faithful, Sam. I am beginning to worry about Faramir's eventual fate Antane and I don't like where my worrying is leading!

Starfire_Moonlight · 11 November 2005 · Chapter 30: The Stairs

Oh no, their gettin' to that dreadful tunnel. Hope nothin' happens *this* time to either of them. Poor Frodo though. He just is so tired of this journey (course I would be too if I had to do it again). He wants nothing more than to get rid of the Ring, no matter to whom or what, but he knows that if he does, Sauron will win. I know that just didn't make any sense, but its what I've got to say. Update ASAP!

Queen Galadriel · 11 November 2005 · Chapter 30: The Stairs

Oh, I don't think I could bear it: to watch one I loved better than life walk into a trap, and to know that there was no other way. But at least it will be a little less confused this time, since they already know. Frodo might still be captured, of course, but surely Sam will know he's not dead? I can't wait to find out! God bless, Galadriel

Frodo Baggins · 11 November 2005 · Chapter 29: Iluvatar's Child

Antane, Frodo...Sam...that...wow. I'm at a loss of words as I can hardly see the screen for tears. Tears of sadness that Frodo has to go through it again, joy that he could have a moment of peace, gratefullness to Sam...the list goes on. Keep writing! Namarie, mellon nin!! God Bless, Frodo Baggins

Author's reply

Thank you Frodo! I am honored by your tears. And many thanks also for the reviews of my other stories - they are much appreciated. The attack on Sam is my favorite scene from the movie because it's so powerful. Our dear Sam has a sword at his throat held by the one he loves most in the world and he just keeps on loving him without missing a beat. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

harrowcat · 11 November 2005 · Chapter 29: Iluvatar's Child

Oh my heart is bleeding for Frodo. Lovely description Antane and thank you for your response to my last review. I suspect that a healed Frodo would be shyly pleased but proud. And have I said how much I like the poems?

Queen Galadriel · 10 November 2005 · Chapter 29: Iluvatar's Child

Oh, Antane, this is the best chapter yet! I love how you show the beauty of Frodo, and I'm so glad he can know peace...if only for a little while. And what a perfect title for this chapter! As usual, you've surprised me completely by the way you work these songs in. I don't know what I expected, but you've surpassed it. How on earth do you manage to put them in like that, where they'll be more effective than I ever dreamed? I tell you, most of the time I don't give these things a second thought when I'm in a hurry. I just make sure they're as good as I can make them and will serve the purpose. And then I'm forever totally surprised by how far you make them go. I'm honoured. Keep up the good work! Namarie, and God bless, Galadriel

Author's reply

My dear, you amaze me that you can just come up with these beautiful songs on the spur of the moment. I am glad you are enjoying what I am doing with them. Harrowcat enjoys them too! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Starfire_Moonlight · 10 November 2005 · Chapter 29: Iluvatar's Child

Another beautiful moment. *sigh* BTW, I've noticed that Smeagol is slowly changing from his old self to something else. Can't wait till the next update! :D

Queen Galadriel · 10 November 2005 · Chapter 28: Fury of the Ring

Oh, poor Frodo! And poor Sam! But I just love this...the love Sam continues to give his master, brother, friend...Love incarnate, indeed. Namarie, and God bless, Galadriel

Frodo Baggins · 9 November 2005 · Chapter 28: Fury of the Ring

Oh, Antane!! You have such a talent for stirring emotion in the hearts of your readers. At least in mine. This chapter was so sad....to think that Frodo did that to Sam again, and....oh and everything!! Keep writing!! I beg of you!! But, you had better see Frodo and Sam throught alright in the end or..or.... you'll be in boiling water! But I'm sure you will, for no true Frodo and Sam lover could not see them throught the end. Namarie, mellon nin! God Bless, Frodo Baggins

Author's reply

Thank you, Frodo! I feel in all fairness that I should warn you that you will want to have that water boiling by the time you read the chapter in the tower. Things are going to be get worse before they get better. And the tower is not going to be pretty at all. I won't blame you at all for not talking to me after that, but before you do that, keep on reading and perhaps you will forgive me. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

harrowcat · 9 November 2005 · Chapter 28: Fury of the Ring

Oh this is another wonderful moment Antane, especially the hand kissing.

Author's reply

Thank you, harrowcat! I thought the kiss would be a very Sam thing to do. A very belated thanks also that you considered Frodo in good hands, including my own and those of the other writers here. That is indeed an honor. I wonder what he thinks of being so dearly loved by so many. :) Namarie, God bless, Antane

Queen Galadriel · 8 November 2005 · Chapter 27: They're Here

*wipes eyes* Silly to cry over a song, isn't it? And vain when it's one I wrote. But I didn't even think much about it then, and here you've put it in so that it would be touching! And, Antane, that is the absolute worst cliff-hanger you've come up with yet! But it can't be real, it's too horrible to be real! There's no way this Nazgul is going to have the Ring. I'm bursting with anticipation, so please update again soon! Namarie, and God bless, Galadriel

Author's reply

My dear, the more I read your song, the more I loved it. I was going to put Three guesses where the song came from, but then I didn't because I thought people might think it was from the professor himself - it is that good! As far as the cliff-hanger goes, oh, it's real, it's very, very real. This is my favorite scene in the movie. Namarie, God bless, Love ya, Antane

Starfire_Moonlight · 8 November 2005 · Chapter 27: They're Here

NOOO!!! Anything but a cliffhanger! Sam had better hurry up and push Frodo out of the way again. Update soon! Please!

Frodo Baggins · 8 November 2005 · Chapter 26: Dreams of Fire and Blood

Oh, Antane!!! Of all the sad chapters you've written, this was the worst of all of them!! Sam dying!!! I'm glad it was just a dream, but, still! That was..... I was almost in tears. THe closest I have come to them for a very long time!! Poor Frodo!! Namarie, mellon nin! God bless, Frodo Baggins

Queen Galadriel · 6 November 2005 · Chapter 26: Dreams of Fire and Blood

*Catches breath* Oh my...oh my goodness! It seemed so...so real, in spite of your foreworning! I'm surprised the sides of the keyboard are still intact, I clutched it so hard. :-) I say, it does give me a funny (though not unpleasant) feeling to see my own song there, in spite of the fact that I've seen them so before. You certainly had me on edge this time, Antane! Good work! :-) Namarie, and God bless, Galadriel

Starfire_Moonlight · 6 November 2005 · Chapter 26: Dreams of Fire and Blood

Two horrible dreams in a row! First Smeagol dying cause Frodo destroyed the Ring then Sam dying cause of an arrow. That could do something to your head. But, Sam is there to comfort him as always. :)

harrowcat · 6 November 2005 · Chapter 26: Dreams of Fire and Blood

Oh what horrible dreams. I thought that the first one was especially plausible. I am getting to quite like Smeagol. At least enough to hope that he doesn't go into the fire.

Frodo Baggins · 5 November 2005 · Chapter 25: The Forbidden Pool

That's it?! Oh no!! I can't wait for the next chapter! You have been doing this so wonderfully!! Poor, dear Frodo!! You had better let him come out okay. For if he does not fully recover or recovers worse than the original story, you shall be in very hot hot water with this Frodo Baggins!! ;) Namarie, mellon nin! God bless, Frodo Baggins

Frodo Baggins · 4 November 2005 · Chapter 21: The Taming of Gollum

Ooo!! This just keeps getting better and better!! Poor Sam! You do a very good job with the whole Gollum verses Smeagol thing. And Sam. He's so funny and saracastic. Especially the last, "Too bad we also can't also be free of you." Namarie, mellon nin! God Bless, Frodo Baggins

Starfire_Moonlight · 4 November 2005 · Chapter 25: The Forbidden Pool

Another brillient chapter! :D Love how you portray Smeagol and Frodo. Frodo seems like he'll try everything to help Smeagol. And, of course, Sam is there to help Frodo along with every step. Love it and this story! :D

Author's reply

Thank you so much for all your very kind reviews! I am glad you are enjoying this love story. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
