i love this story!
powerwriter · 30 June 2004 · Chapter 9999: Epilogue
What a sense of humor this story has :D It seems every character loses out and yet it's all right! They just get on with things. I think writing it through Pippin's perspective really made the story. Good job! It was quite a tale...
Hai Took · 28 June 2004 · Chapter 9999: Epilogue
Hehe, all the punishments that had to be completed, from Bilbo's or others! I guess they have all got what was due them! Thank you!
PIppinfan1988 · 31 March 2004 · Chapter 6: To The Market We Shall Go Part 1
Ah...my little manipulative Pippin! Full of innocent--*somewhat* innocent, mischief. Warms the toes! :-) Pippinfan
Author's reply
Manipulation...the device used by everyone. :)
PIppinfan1988 · 31 March 2004 · Chapter 4: Thunder in the Night
Merry forgotten for the moment, Frodo reached over and tousled my curls. My scheme had worked; Frodo was now completely under my control. - Miriel Love it! That's my Pip! lol.... I like how you have the three young hobbits relating to one another--well done! Pippinfan
PIppinfan1988 · 31 March 2004 · Chapter 1: The Trouble With Doors
This is too funny! You had me rotfl with tears in my eyes! Not many folks can carry off humor like this, and it appears you're one of those who can. I'll be reading more. :-) Pippinfan
Author's reply
Thanks for your review! I just noticed that I had a bunch of reviews that I hadn't replied to and I thought...Pippinfan...she wrote the roses story! I'm glad you liked the story. :)
Reasonably Crazy · 9 March 2004 · Chapter 17: All's Well That Ends Better
Wow, that was so great! *stands, applauds, and whistles* You need to put the ending up at FF.net! I LOVE this fic!!!! Probably in my top three, if not in first place. LOL this was funny!!!!!! Is the Return from the void one here too? I'll have to look later- mom wants me to go work. Long story short, this was STUPENDOUS!!! EEEEEE! :) ~Reasonably Crazy- or Jackie if you're boring, or Nienna if you're Elvish (according the the name generator by Chris.... Chris somebody...) YAY! Happy story! Okay, I'm done. :D
Author's reply
I'm glad that you found your way over here to finish the fic. I got really lazy and annoyed with ff.n, so I just finished the story over here. However, the whole story is up at both places now. Thanks for your reviews!
Kitt of Lindon · 1 February 2004 · Chapter 12: An Unusual Welcome
I took a reading break to say how much I love this story. It was a crack up for me when Bilbo stepped in the, ahem, 'pony gift', and I didn't remember until after a few paragraphs later that hobbits don't wear shoes. It is odd to think that while the hobbits are having these odd, blissful misadventures, that the other folk in Middle-earth are forced into more serious lives of battling evil... It is only fair to tell you that you are one of my favorite authors and I eagerly await more work from you.
Author's reply
Aw...thank you so much. Sorry it took so long to reply to your review. That is an odd thought isn't it...hm...
Kitt of Lindon · 1 February 2004 · Chapter 3: Bedtimes, Bedroom, and Things Like A Good Nights Sleep
*laughs* This is a very good story and written with a very 'hobbitish' style. Bombur has always been one of my favorite Dwarves, so I'm glad to see you kept him very well in character.
Author's reply
Well, thank you! It's always hard to keep characters in character...I'm glad that you think I did.
Arwen Baggins · 23 October 2003 · Chapter 17: All's Well That Ends Better
I like how you ended the story with Pippin relating Bombur to Gimli, and I can imagine that everyone is glad Bombur is gone. But about the shirt...? We never got to see Frodo "blow his top off" when the stains wouldn't come out (or did they) oh well. It was still a very, very good story and thank you for writing it!!!
Author's reply
Oops. I completely forgot about the shirt. Hm...I think that egg washes out of clothing, so logically...hm...I have an idea! An epilogue! Be right back.
Arwen Baggins · 23 October 2003 · Chapter 16: When Enough is Enough
Pippin cut up the sheets for hankies! Why am I not too suprised. That sounds just like him! But what about Bimfur and Bofur? Don't tell me the other nine are going to show up as well. But wait, there's only one more chapter? How is all of this going to be resolved in one chapter? Well, best find out straing-away. Here goes!
Arwen Baggins · 23 October 2003 · Chapter 15: Many Achoo's
Poor Pippin, having to clean the dirty hankies! I think I might also want to be sick if stuck in his place! And I know what you mean about Pippin's ill childhood fics, though I think you should also give Frodo a break too! He deserves it more than any other Hobbit in the books.
Author's reply
Lol, forgot about Frodo. Hm...perhaps another fic?
Arwen Baggins · 23 October 2003 · Chapter 14: The Aftermath
Fantastic! The scene when they're dividing up kitchen chores, resembles the arguments between me and my sister on many occassions. I could totally picture it! Made me think of Merry and Pippin at the Party in FOTR. And as far as Bombur's snoring is concerned, I'd probably be mad at Pippin for mentioning it too, even if he didn't actually do anything.
Arwen Baggins · 23 October 2003 · Chapter 13: More Problem Solving
Yes, I know exactly what you mean about the review thing. For the first chapter of "More than Mithril" I have a total of 62 hits and 2 reviews! Just for the record. I am absolutly loving this story, I've always thought Bombur was a sad excuse of an adventurer and somehow never thought that he might have both the energy and motivation to visit Bag End, but I like the idea... a lot. And just out of curiosity, why does Frodo like that shirt so much...?
Author's reply
I don't know why Frodo likes the shirt so much...maybe because: a) it's soft b) it matches his eyes or c) Merry likes it. Thanks for your review! Glad you enjoyed the story.
Elenar · 23 October 2003 · Chapter 17: All's Well That Ends Better
I love that Bilbo doesn't let Gandalf in. I really enjoyed your story.
Hai · 23 October 2003 · Chapter 17: All's Well That Ends Better
Well that was a lovely surprise! considering that the last chapter I reviewede I assumed was the last one, I don't know what made me think that! There was a lot of fun to be gleaned from the finish here! I loved how everyone got sick! Poor, Bilbo! though I must admit I laughed through the whole thing! I like you wrote it from Pippin's view! Wonderful! Thank you for such a fun story, I am sorry to see it end, now that it is really the end. I'm looking forward to more!!
Grey Wonderer · 21 October 2003 · Chapter 12: An Unusual Welcome
I like the fact that Merry is the one in trouble this time instead of Pippin. It's a nice change. Sam is very good in this one also. Can't wait for more.
Author's reply
I get so tired of the chliches in fanfiction, I try to do something original and out of ordinary. I'm glad that I have suceeded. Thank you!
Glovy · 21 October 2003 · Chapter 12: An Unusual Welcome
This is a wonderful story! I simply adore it. Also, I'd like to add, your a very good writer. Please, please, write more! Sincerly, Glovy
Author's reply
Thanks! Don't worry, more is written. Thanks. No one's ever told me that before. *Blushes*
MysteriousWays · 20 October 2003 · Chapter 1: The Trouble With Doors
This is funny. I love it! I love the way you see the Hobbit characters escpecially. And poor Bilbo, I can just imagine how frazzled he must be with that of Hobit lads under foot. I only wish I had time at the moment to go on and read more of it. I will definately be back later to see if our visitor makes it through the door.
Author's reply
Thanks for checking it out! :) You think Bilbo is frazzled now? *Laughs evily* Just you wait... Ok, then. *Waves* I look forward to hearing from you.
Hai · 20 October 2003 · Chapter 12: An Unusual Welcome
lol, a wonderful story! Always full of such humor! I feel bad for Bilbo though, can you imagine what a mess and all , from beginning to end, though more would be wonderful! ;) Thank you for such time in this story! Loved it!
Author's reply
Thanks again Hai! More what? More mess? Just wait a few chapters...
Hai · 13 October 2003 · Chapter 11: Homeward Bound
lol! Did Merry just faint?! *giggles* Wonderful absolutely wonderful! I hope Sam gets off as easy as Merry has, so far anyway. Loved it! Lot so fun, thank you so much for such hysterical entertainment!
Hai · 6 October 2003 · Chapter 10: Cleaning House
LOL! I bet Merry is a bit concerned! Not only do they clean egg off the floor but they also have to clean other stuff off the furniture! I also liked Merry's reaction to Sam asking if they could stop Bombur from snoring! This is prefect on Mondays! Gives me something to look forward to after school and all, especially if it is a bad day! Thank you for such fun, I'm looking forward to more!
Author's reply
Maybe more than just a bit concerned. I'm glad you like it on Mondays, if you didn't, I would change it. I completely understand about school.(Yuck) Thank you!
Hai · 29 September 2003 · Chapter 9: Delusions
I guess you can't really blame Lily for liking Frodo to the point of tricking herself into thinking he liked her. I did like that, though, what a time! Pippin did some nice quick thinking, lol, love it. Looking forward to more!
Author's reply
What a time indded! I really enjoyed writing that part. :) Yes, Pippin is quite the quick one. As far as updates go, I've fallen into updating every Monday. I'll hear from you then! Cheers!
Hai · 22 September 2003 · Chapter 8: Hiding and Problem Solving
lol! I loved Frodo and Pippin hiding under the cart! Wonderful! I liked Pippin's little thought there at the end "What mad it even more painful to my ears was the fact that Frodo and I were screaming too". Loved it. Looking forward to more! Thank you!
