Hehehe!! This really takes the cake! *still giggling* You have such a way with dialogue...I didn't have a bit of trouble figuring who was speaking! Wondererful.....oops....... ~~~{~@

Author's reply

Thank you! I was a bit worried about whether or not anyone would know who was talking. I knew but I was writing it! LOL Thanks for reading and I am so glad you enjoyed it.

Armariel · 11 June 2006 · Chapter 52: On A Cloudy Day You Can See

ROFL!! *very sheepish expression* sooo cute and....uh.......fluffy....yeah! A nice tail--er, tale...that baaaa-d Pippin really pulled the wool over Merry's eyes, what? It's a wonder he didn't lamb-baste him...what a muttonhead! *teehee* ~~~{~@

Author's reply

LOL Loved all of the lovely 'sheep puns' in your review. I can't resist a good pun. Your review was shear-heaven. Thanks for reading!

harrowcat · 11 June 2006 · Chapter 52: On A Cloudy Day You Can See

Oh this is great GW. I can just hear the incredulity in Frodo's voice! “You actually agreed to that?” Frodo asked looking a bit stricken. “When the subject of placing a live sheep on the roof of a barn was broached, you actually agreed to assist in that venture?” And Merry's answer is priceless.

Author's reply

Thank you! I am sure that Frodo was constantly surprised by both of his younger cousins and you have to admit, this is not the sort of thing that happens every day. Well, unless you're Pippin. LOL

Pearl Took · 11 June 2006 · Chapter 52: On A Cloudy Day You Can See

I read this before and loved it - I loved it this time too. It would be so like Pippin to see sheep in the clouds and clouds in sheep. And I love the image I have of Paladin having to get one of his sheep off the barn roof. Great wee story, GW!

Author's reply

Thank you for reading again! I love looking for shapes in clouds and so this was easy to write. I have played this game many times. Sheep are my fall-back because you can almost always see a sheep in the clouds. I could imagine Paladin having to climb up on the roof and deal with that frightened sheep after Pippin and Merry realized that it was not coming down on its own. LOL The joys of parenthood!

SurgicalSteel · 11 June 2006 · Chapter 52: On A Cloudy Day You Can See

Oh, this just makes me giggle. I'm picturing the two of them trying to get that sheep up onto the roof of the barn.

Author's reply

Started to write that bit and then decided it was much funnier if everyone imagined that part of the story. Glad you enjoyed it!

PIppinfan1988 · 11 June 2006 · Chapter 52: On A Cloudy Day You Can See

ROTFLMBO!!!!!!! Only you, G.W., lol. I do love how you take a semi-ordinary situation and run with it...er, rather, let Pippin run with it. What a lovely thing--to wake up on Sunday morning and have a great laugh. :-) Oh, look! I have a few sheep floating outside my window...! ;-) PF

Author's reply

LOL You have sheep floating outside your window, do you? You're a natural to play with this game with Pippin! Glad you enjoyed this one and thanks for reviewing!

PIppinfan1988 · 11 May 2006 · Chapter 51: A Party of Special Magnificence

Hullo! I finally made it! I remember reading this lovely gem on LJ--and it *still* gets me rolling! I can't pinpoint exactly which part I like the most--from conniving Merry wheedling a confession out of Frodo, to Pippin getting all hilariously pissy...to Merry finally admitting to being surprised. I really enjoyed a second "helping" of this wonderful tale. :-) Pippinfan

Author's reply

Thanks so much! I like doing all dialogue because I run out of discriptive things to say. LOL This was fun because all I had to do was make them talk. Thanks for reading it over here too and I am glad that you enjoyed it.

Pearl Took · 9 May 2006 · Chapter 51: A Party of Special Magnificence

ROFL!! This is adorable!! I can just hear it all. Wonderful :) :)

Author's reply

Thank you! I could hear them in my head as I was writing this one. It is good to know that someone else hears them and that I am not just hearing voices. Sometimes I worry. LOL

harrowcat · 9 May 2006 · Chapter 51: A Party of Special Magnificence

Oh this is priceless GW and I love the ending. A sugar high Pippin explains everything. And no, it isn't difficult to tell who is talking - it is great.

Author's reply

Thank you! Good to know that you were able to tell who was saying what. I like writing in all dialogue but I do sometimes wonder if anyone has a clue who is speaking when I'm finished. Thanks so much for reviewing!

EstellaB · 9 May 2006 · Chapter 51: A Party of Special Magnificence

*Laughs* In almost all of these stories, I bear a worrying resemblance to Pippin...

Author's reply

LOL Now that's funny! So you've baked a cake like the one Pip baked in this story? I hope not. Thanks for reading and for reviewing.

Larner · 8 May 2006 · Chapter 51: A Party of Special Magnificence

The incredible leaning cake! Again, GW, absolutely hilarious! Only Pippin could get into that kind of dudgeon and then turn it into a warning lecture about the state of the cake! And the idea of the icing tube getting away from him is enough to keep me giggling for a week, you know.

Author's reply

Splendid! I now know someone who will be giggling all week. If I get depressed I will just think of you and that will snap me right out of it. Glad you enjoyed this one. I just don't see Pippin as a cake baker for some reason. LOL But the important thing here is that Sam made chicken so that's all that really counts. Thanks so much for reading!

EstellaB · 26 April 2006 · Chapter 47: The Best Made Plans of Peregrin Took

I love this! But you should do one where Aunt Esme pranks Pippin back. After all, she *is* a Took.

Author's reply

She is indeed and it would be fun to see her get even. I will have to give that idea some thought! Thanks for reviewing!

EstellaB · 24 April 2006 · Chapter 24: Through the Eyes of Another

wow, all these stories are wonderful, but I particularly like this one. I had no idea how old they were until Merry said! I figured that they were about Merry's coming-of-age time!

Author's reply

Thank you so much. I had fun writing that one. I like to think that even though they were both older they were still much the same in personality. I also think that in order to make the long trip to Gondor in their later years, they would have had to be in excellent health for older hobbits. Glad this surprised you!

Pearl Took · 18 April 2006 · Chapter 50: Peas

This is an absolute riot!! Another winner from the Queen of Little Hobbit stories!!

Author's reply

The Queen?! I like that title. I may have to buy a crown and walk around in it. (No, wait! That's how people wind up in the loony bin isn't it?) LOL Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the lovely review!

Glory Underhill · 15 April 2006 · Chapter 50: Peas

“Look! The peas on the wall make the shape of a star! How’d you do that, Peregrin?” ROFL! I loved the bickering between Merry & Beri!

Author's reply

I do think that as close in age as those two were, they would have been close but that they always would have been arguing about something. LOL Thanks so much for reading! Glad you liked this.

Glory Underhill · 15 April 2006 · Chapter 49: Demand and You Shall Receive

Hysterical! I especially loved the ending where the POV shifts to Merry recalling the coin purse through the years. Lovely!

Author's reply

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed this one and thank you for reviewing it!

Bodkin · 10 April 2006 · Chapter 50: Peas

That is ... delightfully gross. And Frodo should know better than to get engrossed in his reading when Merry and Pippin - not to mention Berilac - are in the same room. 'Can we hold him under?' In the rain barrel. If only Eglantine knew what they were doing with her little precious!

Author's reply

Delightfully gross! That is just the very thing that I strive for in these stories! LOL Frodo was at fault in this and I do hope that Eglantine never finds out about that rainbarrel. Fortunately, Pippin is still to young to be talking.

PIppinfan1988 · 9 April 2006 · Chapter 50: Peas

Let me expound upon my last comment--I did mean it in a nice way. I absolutely love your hobbits--*especially* Pippin and Merry. They're so true to life and very hobbity in character. Its way past my bedtime, so I gotta go...take care. PF

Author's reply

LOL I knew exactly what you meant! Get some sleep or I am driving up there and finding out exactly why you are still up at this hour. I know what that does to you! LOL

PIppinfan1988 · 9 April 2006 · Chapter 50: Peas

ROTFLMBO!! Only you could get away with this...! ack! Peas up the nose...lol. Poor wee Pippin! No wonder he turned out the way he did. :-) Loved it!

Author's reply

Kind of makes Pip a pea-brain doesn't it? Sorry had to get that out of my system. Blame Cheech and Chong for the original idea. They had an old comedy routine in which a child put quarters up his nose and had to be taken to the doctor. LOL Glad you loved it!

Larner · 9 April 2006 · Chapter 50: Peas

I haven't stopped chortling since I started reading this one. Frodo will never admit it, but he's as much to blame as the two children he left feeding and watching the baby. Oh, this is PRICELESS!

Author's reply

Frodo should have known better. I think Merry and Berilac just allowed Pippin to do whatever he enjoyed doing. Like Merry said, they were watching him, they just didn't bother stopping him. LOL Glad you enjoyed it!

Larner · 9 April 2006 · Chapter 49: Demand and You Shall Receive

Ah, dear, dear little Pippin stealing coin purses and other objects, and mouthing them as only a very small child can. Oh, I can see it, too--and the swallowing of the copper penny. Every child has done that one, I think. And then Merry embarrassing him about it--oh, so appropriate! And that Pippin would treasure it for the sake of the one from whom he stole it....

Author's reply

I do think that Pippin would have been a bit spoiled at that point as the youngest in his family and the only lad. I also think that he might have done more than a bit of this sort of thing. Only Merry sees what is really going on. LOL I think most children have eaten a penny or two and other entertaining things as well. I once ate play-doh. Maybe that explains what's wrong with me now.

MaidenofValinor · 9 April 2006 · Chapter 50: Peas

hahahah oh, goodness. Another laugh-aloud moment brought to you from Peregrin Took! "Can we hold him under?" oh my. Too hilarious.

Author's reply

Thank you for laughing! Glad you enjoyed it!

GamgeeFest · 9 April 2006 · Chapter 50: Peas

And Frodo should remember this day too - that you can't leave a ten year old to babysit! Wee!Pippin was just adorable, pea goop and all. :)

Author's reply

There is nothing like a messy baby, is there? No, ten year-olds don't make very good sitters do they? Next time Frodo will have to be a bit more watchful, won't he? LOL Thanks for reviewing!

Andrea · 9 April 2006 · Chapter 50: Peas

Peregrin waved one green hand at Merry and said, "Fah!" as he spit one single pea at the ten-year-old and hit him between the eyes. LOL!!! That was great fun! Thank you :)

Author's reply

You are most welcome! Glad you enjoyed it!

harrowcat · 9 April 2006 · Chapter 50: Peas

This one is a great giggle GW. Just as well he started sneezing. I don't think that ME has A&E departments, or even hospitals for that matter!

Author's reply

No, I suspect that in spite of the mess, the sneezing was a good thing. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for reviewing!
