Karri · 8 November 2004 · Chapter 20: Epilogue - Departures

A lovely wrap-up, R. :-D Now, when's the next story coming?

Galimeril · 27 October 2004 · Chapter 19: No Choices Left

Great Ch! I'm glad you didn't kill legolas off. I would have been very upset! Can't wait to see how this ends! Write LOTS more really, really, REALLY SOON! Galimeril ;D

Karri · 25 October 2004 · Chapter 19: No Choices Left

:-P What a way to start a chapter! You had me worried there for a minute. A nicely written squirmish, though. I am glad Elrond managed to alter the vision and all our boys came out of it still breathing. Terrific chapter. :-D

mistry89 · 23 October 2004 · Chapter 18: Temptation

II'm sorry that I haven't left a message of appreciation - I've been reading Immortal as it comes and should have said "Thank You". The effect of Celebrian's torment on the members of her family, an explanation of the lack of maternal mention for Legolas in LOTR, and the reminder that of all the beings who have lived in Middle-Earth, the one who has borne/will bear the most grief is Elrond. It is all here in your story. Of course, that Legolas features largely (and is one of my favourite canon/fanon characters) doesn't hurt! Thank you.

Karri · 21 October 2004 · Chapter 18: Temptation

Oooh! A simply splendid portrayal of Elrond the warrior. :D

Jay of Lasgalen · 16 October 2004 · Chapter 17: The High Pass

This was a really tense chapter - well done. I still have a very bad feeling that something is going to go wrong, and at least one of them will be badly hurt. Jay

Karri · 16 October 2004 · Chapter 17: The High Pass

Holy smokes, R! I hadn't even had time to read the last chapter and here is a new one. Ack! Legolas doesn't sound like he is entirely in suitable shape for fighting, but I imagine the distraction of worrying about him is good for it seems to be keeping the twins for loosing it on the orcs. Two terrific chapters. :-D

Karri · 20 September 2004 · Chapter 15: Shreds

*sniffle* A heartrending chapter, R, but wonderfully written. :-D

Sheikan · 18 September 2004 · Chapter 14: Fading

Well I just started reading this fic today and I have so say, I am amazed but the emotional elements in the story. I feel so bad for Elrond and the Twins...and then Legolas being draged in watching his friends mother suffer when he has seen his own die. Its sad =[! I hope you update though! I wanna know what happens! ^_^ I just hope i will not lose the link for this x.x;;

Galimeril · 18 September 2004 · Chapter 14: Fading

Excellent, I'm really hooked now! Keep it up, Keep it up! Galimeril ;D

Karri · 17 September 2004 · Chapter 14: Fading

A terrific, bittersweet chapter. :-) (Tolkien says: "She is rescued by Elrond and his sons, but after fear and torment she is no longer willing to remain in Middle-earth, and she departs to the Grey Havens and sails over Sea.")

Frodo3791 · 17 September 2004 · Chapter 14: Fading

I don't think it says who chose for her to sail. I think you would have a good idea to assume that she would choose on her own, but I think it would also be hard for her to leave without having Elrond support her in it. Therefore, I think Elrond and Celebrain made this decision together. Elrond is wise and would have eventually realized that there is no hope for her in Middle Earth. In order for her to pain no more, she must sail to Valinor. These are just my thoughts. Like I said, the only thing I've ever read is that she sailed West. If I come across anything, I'll let you know. Oh yes, we did get some twin sons of Elrond angst! The Lord and Lady of Lothlorien have arrived. I have a feeling they'll help shed some light on this dark matter. (No pun intended.) Legolas has a crush on Galadriel? How cute! I mean, she was described as the most beautiful elven women in the third age... maybe other than Arwen. But that just goes back to Gimli and Eomer's debate. Like the day or the night... oh, I'm rambling. Alright, nicely done. I'm looking forward to seeing how you end this all (though some parts we readers know). -Frodo

Karri · 5 September 2004 · Chapter 13: Beginning the End

Quite the sad chapter, R. Nicely written, though.

Frodo3791 · 5 September 2004 · Chapter 13: Beginning the End

And Elrond's family's angst continues. Somehow I have a feeling that Elrond will not be the one who comes to the decision that Celebrain needs to sail West. At this point, he does not want to think on it, nor does he want to admit that there is no hope for her. We've finally seen some more of Arwen since the incident has occured. Now hopefully it's time for the twin's pain. Oh, I sound so evil! -Frodo

Galimeril · 18 August 2004 · Chapter 12: Quiet

Please keep going, I want to see how this all turns out!!!! *jumps up and down* I've been glued to my screen through the whole piece, Please update soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Galimeril

vic · 17 August 2004 · Chapter 12: Quiet

Yet another great chapter. You write incredibly well. Poor Legolas and Celebrían, for that matter, her whole family. They know full well what she went through, and although they are trying to shield Arwen, I'm sure she will know or sense the worst of it. I liked the fact that Elrohir came to check up on Legolas. Elrond is a very good Ada and healer, he knew that the injuries that our little wood-elf sustained were likely to bother him for quite some time. I'm looking forward to reading more of this wonderful tale. vic

Frodo3791 · 16 August 2004 · Chapter 12: Quiet

It doesn't sound like anything it going to get easier for any of them anytime soon. Update soon. -Frodo

mistry89 · 16 August 2004 · Chapter 12: Quiet

I'm sorry if I haven't commented before, but I'm reading this, it seems a bit odd to say enjoying it (but I assume you know I must be!), and am wrapped up in your interpretation of the events leading up to the departure of Celebrian. I haven't, yet, come across any stories dealing with this (afterwards, yes, but not the situation itself) so this is new territory for me. I like your characters/characterisation, and how the mundane, normal to-and-fro of conversation kicks in even when the tone is so serious: "..but I suppose we should not take the chance in case his advise is, in fact, valid." Thank you, am anticipating the rest of the story.

Karri · 16 August 2004 · Chapter 12: Quiet

Excellent chapter! I am glad that Legolas was not neglected despite everything. Elrohir is very good in this. I like the personality you have given him.

Nikara · 16 August 2004 · Chapter 12: Quiet

yet another wonderful chapter. You really capture the emotions going around Rivendell well. I look forward to more!

Frodo3791 · 30 July 2004 · Chapter 11: Fall Apart

How I enjoy angst! Anyway... poor Elrond, Celebrain, Elladan, Elrohir, Legolas, and Arwen. There's so many to feel bad for, and it's not going to get easier. Arwen still has to find out, and that will not be pretty. Enjoyed the read. -Frodo

Karri · 29 July 2004 · Chapter 11: Fall Apart

Yup, that Publish button can be tricky little bugger sometimes, eh. ;-) Well, it is still an excellent chapter the second time through. And it still makes me all sniffly. Good work! :-)

Nikara · 19 July 2004 · Chapter 10: Shattered Teacups

Ahh!!! Don't leave off now! I want to read more. What happens next? Add soon please!

Eruanna · 16 July 2004 · Chapter 10: Shattered Teacups

This chapter did have some of the tone you would expect at the beginning, but now I understand, and it doesn't really detract from the quality of the chapter. I'm not too late for the cookies, am I??? ;-) You have such nice things to had out to reviewers. ;-) This seems to be a sort of transition chapter; the descriptions are well done, and I can only feel sorry for everybody. I eagerly await the next chapter!
