*sniff sniff* One of those stories that it necessary for character development, but sometimes I *really* wish that this never had to happen. Man, I sound like this is nonfiction, don't I? ;-)
As usual, the "fight scene" was well thought out...I usually take shortcuts and say that Legolas grappled with the Orc and eventually won. ;-)
I feel so bad for the twins...how sad! And now we have all sorts of guilt, of course. ;-)

It did have that tone, actually. ;-) Very good, all the same. Heartrending. Poor Elrond!

I think my favorite part in this chapter was your description of the cup. Sometimes it's better to say an action rather than to describe thoughts. It made this part more tense and different. I enjoyed that.
*hugs Elrond* poor guy... it's going to be worse knowing that he can't help her
Keep it coming.

I'd think after Legolas' time with the orcs he'd need more than just a horse. The poor elf has been beaten almost to death so often, I'm surprised he can stand on his own. Elrohir and Elladan have come! To made that it doesn't make things too much better. I'm seeing lots of angst to come.

Aww, poor legolas, he tried so hard. And poor Elladan too, all that wishful thinking was for nothing. And while I'm at this, poor Elrohir, in his heart he knew what was coming and was powerless to stop it. Poor everyone.

I'm very glad the cavalry has arrived at last! :-) I hope that Elladan really isn't going to take his grief out on Legolas. The princeless tried his little heart right out. Terrific chapter! :-D

And how I love elves! Anyway... what a way to end this chapter! Not only are Elladan and Elrohir almost to their mother, but then you have this whole fight scene with Legolas and the orcs and Legolas is about to lose! Goodness... I shall hope the next chapter comes quickly. I was really surprised to find Rumil, but that's great. I love those Lothlorien marchwardens.
Keep it coming.

· Chapter 7: Before the Storm
Ah ha! We have lightheartedness! ;-) Just a question: is there something on Elrond's back? ;-)
Poor, poor Elrohir. Like father like son. Pesky visions.
This is all actually frightening, because you have all these fun little happenings and practical jokes (not to mention a set of hilarious twins), and all the time you know what's happening to Celebrian and Legolas. I hope we hear more of them soon!
But to just *imagine* everyone's horror when they find out the real story! Oh no!!! ;-)
Well, time is short (and so is my stature).
More soon, please!

They're getting closer. Elrohir has seen a vision that disturbs Elladan, much as he denies it. Elrond knows something is wrong, and I bet Arwen understands that as well. Finding Celebrain will not ease their minds, sadly.
Keep it coming.

A nice blend of humour and angst. :-) The tension between the twins was a fine touch! (As a twin, I have to say, twins do not always get on as well as Fred and George. ;-))

Ah, I must have missed that. I remember something about the dead Noldor elves, but I didn't know he was hunting and found them. I must never have quite added it all together.
I enjoyed your comparison to Legolas' mother and Celebrain. I never thought to compare the two, but then again I never thought to put Legolas finding Celebrain either. It's interesting. They both get a little something from being with each other. She is able to take some solice that her children will be alright after she dies (though not unscatched by any means), and he is able to understand the love of a mother.
Nicely done. I look forward to the next.

Well, Legolas certainitly got it. Poor elf. You know, for Legolas being such a great warrior and all, why is it that writers put him in so much pain and harm?
This sounds like an interesting story, one I'm hoping you continue soon. Your writing style is really good.
One question. Why was Legolas searching for Celebrian? How did he get involved in this? If he was sent out scouting or something, wouldn't he have had others with him?

Hi, I am back from holiday to a few super chapters to catch up on. This is such a good story, I liked how the brothers tried to shield Arwen from what their task was, but I think she knows things are amiss. Poor Legolas is trying his best, looking forward to the next chapter. Eokat.

I don't have any time; I gotta run to the chiropractor, but I wanted to let your know that I'm still here, and I'm still lovin' it!
I am very anxious to know what happens to my dear Elves!!!! *sob* Haven't they endured enough? *evil grin* That's okay, they can take it. We authors seem to like nothing more than to torture characters.
Gotta run; keep it up!

Ohhh......tense!
I don't exactly know what to say, but this is great!
The first line (translated of course, 'cause I can't read Elvish) "Legolas! Legolas, don't look!" sent chills up and down my spine. There is something very sad there. :_(
Poor, poor Legolas. Always suffering. That was a handy trick, "miscalculating" the dagger thrust. That whole scene had me on the edge of my seat. :) :D
*sniff* But where's Celebrian?!?!?!? *sob*
On a happier note, you had me rolling on the floor laughing with Legolas' improvisation. :D :D :D 'Lady of the valley, be you heard or seen? I need to know your fate…ah…our guard appears quite…mean?' :D :D :D That was great!
Keep it the good work!

Ruse,
Great three chapters. This is certainly different to all the other stories about the capture of Celebrian. Well done! I cannot wait for more chapters from you :-). I do have a question for you, I'm sorry if this is a bit silly (I've been into LotR relatively recently), but is Arwen a princess in a technical term, or just as an endearment? Just thought I'd ask...
Anyways, great chapter. Hope for more soon.
