Alright. I'm sorry, but I've nearly forgotten the names of all the characters and the plot. You need to start writting agian.I'm starting to wonder if your still alive! I could never go that long without writing! Please, hurry up!

Author's reply

*grin* I am alive - though I might as well not be given the amount of time that work takes up. I work around 12 hours a day, six days a week so I don't have much time to write. But I am trying. Hope you like the latest effort.

Amanda · 4 April 2005 · Chapter 4: Power and Promises

I check this website very often for updates, I really like this fic and would like to know where this sequel is heading. Please , please write. You style of writing is unique and the way you develop the characters and plot makes it greater writing. This is an awesome legomance and talks about the problems in a realtionship and trying to understand each other. It's not a cheesy, easy love story. Your charcter development , i think is perfect and the charcters seem so real. YOu also use appealing minor charcters . Small details in the right place makes your writing so addictive , i have to know what happens .There are very few fics with this style of writing- so PLEASE update. Sorry couldn't leave a proper review before. UPDATE

Author's reply

It was a pretty proper review and was much appreciated. Thank for taking the time. Hope you enjoy the next chapter as well.

LORE · 1 March 2005 · Chapter 4: Power and Promises

Hey Fan! I've been reading both stories from the beginning, and Rhinure is my favorite OFC so far. I check all 6 of the sites containing this story every day!!!!!!! Today is my birthday, do ya think you could make chapter 5 a belated birthday present? It would mean so much to me. QUICKLY PLEASE!!! I'VE BEEN CHEAKING FOR MONTHS.

Author's reply

6 sites - hmmm - which ones are they? Seem to have forgotten them since I usually update on two. You should be happy to know that I have just posted another chapter. Enjoy (fingers crossed).

LOLTHHH · 14 February 2005 · Chapter 4: Power and Promises

Happy Valentine's Day!

Author's reply

A little late so I will wish you a Merry Christmas (it's early so the greetings should balance out).

Lor · 16 January 2005 · Chapter 4: Power and Promises

Just a Q: Did Rhinure spend the entire night with Legolas? Because earlier it was mentioned that she didn't feel comfortable doing that, but you didn't mention whether she left him or not that night. Anyway, great story, the suspense of waiting for the next chapter is pretty rough though!

Author's reply

In a highly delayed reply to your question - no Rhinure did not spend the night. Just most of it. When she does I will tell you. It's important to the relationship progression. Thank you for pointing it out - will make it clearer next time.

Amanda · 6 January 2005 · Chapter 4: Power and Promises

I just started reading fan fiction and this story has got me hooked. I really like your style and plot. Please update this sequel. I can't wait!!

Author's reply

Thank you for reviewing. A new chapter is up if you are still reading the fic. I apologise for the delay in posting but real life has been most hectic and I have just returned home after a month of training.

When I saw that your story had been updated, I about hyperventilated from sheer excitement! Anyway, I just wanted to take the time to say that I absolutely LOVE this story! I followed your story from fanfiction.net; it was one of the first LOTR stories I ever read, and I will always praise the day I saw it and decided to read it! It's been, what, a year now since you first started Moriquendi, and I've stuck to it all the way! Why? Because I've read a whole bunch of Legomances, and I hate to say that the majority of them are CRAP. Yours is the exception. Your style of writing is so eloquent, and the story flows incredibly well while managing to interweave all these wonderful plot complexities and complications without making the story seem like a bunch of rambling crap. The dialogue between characters is amazing! There's nothing anachronistic -- I can actually picture Legolas, or Thranduil, or other characters saying these things. And the character developments are wonderful! Rhinure's insights are so cool -- I like to see what makes her tick, and I feel pity for her because of her dilemma and the whole duty and honor vs. love. I love how you set up dichotomies in their personalities -- for instance, there's Legolas the husband, Legolas the Prince,or Legolas the elf, and there's also the always intriguing contrast of Thranduil the King vs. Thranduil the father (I don't like stories that portray Thranduil as this abusive son-hater. Anyway, who could even find the heart to abuse someone like Legolas? =) And your characters are so witty! The romance is so beautifully developed. You hint at their growing affection for each other besides having the physical relationship. It's nice to see one story where Leoglas doesn't fall down at the gal's feet and start worshipping her in a mere time span of 2 seconds. The tension between Rhinure and Legolas only heightens the story's interest and adds to my curiosity - what will happen next? Whew, I'm sure you're probably tired of all my rambling now, so I'll stop. I just had to get that out of my system before I exploded. Keep up the FABULOUS work!!

Author's reply

Thank you for reviewing and your kind (and ego boosting words). They help in keeping the muse alive though RL keeps trying to kill it. I love long reviews so I was sad when your "ramblings" ended. Please feel free to ramble on if you wish. I would love to listen - even if it is not so complimentary next time.

Souad · 28 September 2004 · Chapter 4: Power and Promises

O yeah!! I was sooooo happy to find out that you have updated this story. It is soooo great!!! Keep on writing!!!!!!!!!! By the way, where is chapter 5????

Author's reply

Thank you for your kind word and I will most definately keep on writing if people like yourself keep reading. I am in the middle of writing chapter five. But if you were referring to the fact that the site shows five chapters for the fic - that is inclusive of the summary.

Brazgirl · 27 September 2004 · Chapter 4: Power and Promises

Yes, yes!!! I loved the ending!! Go seducer Legolas!!! Go! This was so, so great! I was so happy when I saw you had updated it... I saw it last night but I coudn't read because I had two tests this morning... But I read it!!! Wonderful beggining, Rhinure thoughts while Legolas spoke were fabulous. I think she is getting more flexible with him, though she still have her reservations towards Thranduil she is beggining to understand the Wood elves. I loved when Legolas defended her in front of his father, it was very nice and meant something really important in his relationship with Thranduil and with his wife. A sad line was 'So this is what joy feels like'. This was so sad and yet represents her so nicely. That Avari is really concerned, isn't he? I guess he feels something is indeed happening there. It was a great chapter of a great story. Gosh, I am glad I could access internet today to read it. It made my day... Till next time (which I am very, vey curious and anxious to read). Brazgirl

Author's reply

I was going to make Legolas repremand her but he was having none of it. That line just wrote itself and completely shocked me. But it was nice of him so I left it in. But you know what, I felt really sorry for Thranduil at that moment - his son has fangs after all, and they hurt. A painful if necessary lesson. Cothion is right to be worried - Eryn Lasgalen and its elves have a lot more surprises up their collective sleeves. He should be afraid, very afraid. Insert evil laugh right here.

Joana · 26 September 2004 · Chapter 4: Power and Promises

A new chapter! :D It was really good, very inteligent conversations, the descriptions of reactions during conversations... all really good! Now I can't wait for the marriage part between Eowyn and Faramir. Update soon! :)

Author's reply

Sorry that I haven't been able to reply in a while but I was away on vacation and unable to access the net - plus side, got some writing done. I can't wait for the marriage part either. Got some good things planned, though I am a little shaky on how humand customs work in ME. Should update in a few days - fingers crossed.

sofia · 26 September 2004 · Chapter 4: Power and Promises

at least the talk didn't have too much yelling. At least they talked about some important things, and some I had not even thought about- like the friend part. And the little meeting, that got me thinking... are attacks being made on Gondor, and Rohan? You really made me think in this chapter! I loved it, though. Don't keep us waiting for too long. -sofia

Author's reply

I should be on vacation soon so the next chapter will be faster. *Fingers crosed*. I am glad the chapter made you think - even though my primary concern is the elves, Tolkien world is interconnected and I would like to stay true to that as much as my ability allows. Thank you for reviewing.

daw the minstrel · 26 September 2004 · Chapter 4: Power and Promises

Lovely, sexy tension. I enjoyed watching Thranduil try to balance the line between king and father. But these two need to learn to communicate out of bed too.

Author's reply

Thank you. At least I got them in bed. Now when they come out is debatable. Communication is the next step; it's just that they do everything the wrong way around so it will take them some while before they can talk to each other without having to resort to sex or physical reassurance. Let's see what I can do. So - no more elf sex and a lot more elf talk. I can do that.

Joana · 13 August 2004 · Chapter 3: The Feast

I'm quite enjoying this story and I hope you continue as soon as you can. Great characters and lot of tension around Rhinure. V.good! -Joana

Author's reply

Thank you for you review. I hope you will still read when I have the next chapter out. I know it has been a while but work has been a killer. I am hard at work at the next chapter now that work has calmed down and I am not working seven days a week (no kidding). But it is hars to write considering all the tension that each character has woven around themselves. But I will manage (ignore the crossed fingers behind my back). :)

Nilmandra · 3 July 2004 · Chapter 3: The Feast

The tnesion that Rhinure creates all around herself is amazing. I hadn't thought of her as selfish before, especially considering her position among the Avari as Sacrifice, but she is selfish with those near to her. To not dance with Legolas and to try to refuse the King does show that she really does not care for them. I am dying to know what is going on behidn those closed doors.

Author's reply

Rhinure is amazing sometimes, and not in a good sense either. I could try to defend her by saying that she is confused and defensive, and Legolas has atrocious but it wouldn't change the fact that she was really silly. She can be selfish, much like all of us can be. I have seen people, myself included, do and say some hurtful things because we didn't get our way. Rhinure does the same, at least in my head. But I didn't realise that it was symptomatic of her not caring. I think she cares, I hoep she does, but she is prone to bad moods and mistakes too. And Legolas could have insisted like Thranduil did. He did not have to go out and dance with all the pretty ellyth. Though it serves Rhinure right. This was so difficult to write since I like Rhinure and I dislike it when she does stupid things. And she does a lot of them in her personal life, proabably because she doesn't have much practice in having a life. Must make sure Legolas gives her a lot of practice. But I must say, your comment made me go back and change some of what is happening behind those closed doors. So you (and my boss) are partly to blame for the time it has taken to get the rest out. Kidding. ;)

sofia · 2 July 2004 · Chapter 3: The Feast

good chapter. I wonder whats gonna happen in that room between them. I liked the conversation between Thranduil and Rhinure. She does have a sharp tongue. Will she always be like that? Dont keep us waiting for too long. -sofia

Author's reply

I am sorry but I guess the wait has been very long and it is going to be a little longer. Work has been hell but it has calmed down and I can put my find to more pleasant things like writing. Rhinure is a bit sharp, no? A little excessively in my my books. I don't think she will be like this all the time, she can't. She has to grow up sometimes. But i will keep my figners crossed. Even as an author, I have little control over my characters sometimes. When I wrote this scene, I just couldn't project Rhinure as even tempered. Believe me, I tried. I finally gave up when my fingers couldn't type anymore.

Brazgirl · 2 July 2004 · Chapter 3: The Feast

I must say that the dialogue between Thranduil and Rhinure was the best I've ever read. It was great, really. Her conversation with Cothion was amazing... it seems to me that deep inside she is changing because of Legolas... she has questions and she is getting a little bit confused. She is a great woman... I hope the next chapter comes soon (no pressure!) because... I can't believe you ended there... OMG! I want to know what will happen there... I love the way you describe people's emotions. I am never tired of waiting for more chapters of Moriquendi! Thanks for updating today... the day I hope it will be the first of my winter break!!!

Author's reply

I am back after a long, long hiatus - known as crunch time at work - and slowly de-numbing my brain. Too much work is bad for one, I have realised and suicidal for fan-fic writers. I am glad you enjoyed the dialogue between Thranduil and Rhinure. I was trying so hard to show that beneath all that self-sacrificing nobility there is a lot of hurt petulance that is dying to get out. Poor thing is such a child sometimes, and Thranduil gets it. He understands, and that is scary. I, myself, hate it when people understand where all my anger is coming from. It is shameful and humbling at the same time – two not very comfortable emotions. I hope you will wait just a little longer while I finish the next chapter. I know its been a while but I hope you all will forgive me.

LOTRFaith · 1 July 2004 · Chapter 3: The Feast

I shiver with anticipation with what is to come:-D Personally I think Legolas really needs to set his foot down and tell her to stop acting like a silly immature elfling... "I don't dance." How rude! And inconsiderate! And then to insult the Queen! tsk.. tsk... I don't think Legolas should have really danced with someone other than his wife, but hopefully it showed Rhinure that Legolas could have chosen any ellyth, but dutifully married her instead. Does she even realize what Thranuduil forced Legolas to do? I find myself rather upset with her and hopefully she will get a good tongue lashing... But no Cothion to comfort her... Or else Legolas might kill him;-) And if looks could kill I bet Cothion would already be dead:-) Awesome chapter and I eagerly look forward to more~

Author's reply

I agree - setting down a few rules may not be a bad idea. Though with Rhinure you never know. She should have danced. Sometimes we all do things we don't like because our friends want us to. She really has to learn to do that. For me the interesting bit was that she is so open to doing these unpleasant things when it comes to her people but when it comes to her personal life she is very uncompromsing. It's as if she gives in so much otherwise that she feels that enough is enough. And legolas gets the short end of the stick. Must work on her a little. a little balance is required. Will do that as soon as I get home. Thanks for reviewing.

tigerlily713 · 1 July 2004 · Chapter 3: The Feast

So much tension! I need more! I can't wait to see this next intercourse. Their communication is so akward and stilted. Loverly. Lily

Author's reply

Communication may be giving them too much credit - they talk but they don't listen. Especially Rhinure. Until they do - well tension will be the least of their problems.

daw the minstrel · 1 July 2004 · Chapter 3: The Feast

Fan, no one writes sexual tension better than you do. I am in awe. And also, I want to know what the connection was between the queen and Rhinure. Your Thranduil is smart and wily; your Legolas's anger is palpable. This was just a gloriously fun read.

Author's reply

*blush* thank you (I think). Wait until you see/read the next few chapters. Tension is mounting. The queen and Rhinure - well at the rate I go, that may be a whole other story. Thank you for reading over the chapter. Nil seems too overworked. Must send her a nice, error free chapter next time to make up for this one.

Kristy · 19 May 2004 · Chapter 2: Eryn Lasgalen

Ohh, the dress dosen't suit her. That's so perfectly . . . sad. Poor Legolas is trying so hard. I feel for him Rhinure frustrates me as much as she makes me feel for her. I can see how te rose would bother Legolas. I wonder what made Cothion give it to her though. Is the reason he gives all? Or did he do it partly to affect Legolas? Or would an Avari even think of that? hmmm It makes me wonder. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Author's reply

To be honest, I made the dress unflattering for I have read too many ball room scenes in which the heroine is stunningly beautiful in any old thing she wears. And from personal experience I know that if you are not careful the loveliest dress can look horrendous on a person. *shudder* The memories. I hope you won't have to wait for too long for an update. Next chapter is with my beta. Pray she gets time to read it so that I can post.

Brazgirl · 2 May 2004 · Chapter 2: Eryn Lasgalen

I just loved this chapter. As always worth the waiting! Legolas' bodyguard thoughts were great, he really worries about Rhinure and Legolas' relationship. And the avari reaction to see their Mistress in gown like that... But the best was Legolas jealous. It was so cute, I mean, he feels something very strong for her. Really nice. And Thranduil's speech was touching. Thanks for this wonderful chapter.

Author's reply

I am relieved that you liked the speech. It took for forever and a day to write that - just couldn't get the wording right. As for Herenion, well he is Herenion - I love the guy. He is so sweet, like a overbearing uncle sometimes. :)

Hisie Lome · 1 May 2004 · Chapter 2: Eryn Lasgalen

Well that was a fine ride. I loved how once again, these two lovers simply can't get into each other's heads. The politics is great as well. Thanks for your hard work and please update soon, Minna Sedh, Hisie Lome

Author's reply

The next chapter is with my beta. As soon as she okays it I will post. I know it had been a while for which I apologise, but work has been a nightmare. My vacation got cancelled for my boss could not let me leave. WAH!

LOTRFaith · 1 May 2004 · Chapter 2: Eryn Lasgalen

Hello..... Am absolutely thrilled that you posted....:-) I was curious, does Rhinure have any idea what she is doing to Legolas? Or is it just unintentional.. and subconcious....? Poor Legolas, I truly feel for him... He is trying so hard to understand Rhinure... Does Rhinure know that she is invited to Faramir's wedding? And does Rhinure know that Legolas has the sea longing?.... Very curious.... :-) Am happy you posted and hope you post soon! Namaarie~ LOTRFaith

Author's reply

If Rhinure doesn't have an idea now, she will soon. Am working on that particular. Won't tell you too much about it for it would spoil it for you - that is if you are reading still. And in answer to one of your questions - no she does not know Legolas has the sea-longing. That will come soon(ish) too. Wait for it. ;) Fan

dr_seuss_is_cool · 1 May 2004 · Chapter 2: Eryn Lasgalen

Hello. I've never reviewed your stories before. I want to be brutally honest so that is what I will be. When I started to read Moriquendi a long while ago I didn't like it, but then I started to read them near the very beginning of this year. I now am a faithful reader and have fallen in love with the stories. I was itching to tell you this and I'm sorry for my partial insult earlier. I love how Leoglas had chosen the dress for Rhinure but then it didn't suit her. I am with Legolas on removing that rose, even if it does look gorgeous on her. Another thing i love about your stories are how the Avari are very honest. I think it completely suits them. Thank you very much for writing. Bye bye.

Author's reply

Welcome to the behemoth I think of as my story. Hope you will continue reading though I haven't updated in a while. If you didn't like Moriquendi in the beginning that is your right. Especially since you are reading now. :D To be honest, I feel the beginning is a little weak. When I have the time (far far in the future the way things are going), I am going to fix. Tweak it if nothing else.

Hisie Lome · 1 May 2004 · Chapter 0: Summary

Thanks for the refresher course....I am so glad you have posted here. I look forward to more of this tale. Thanks, Minna Sedh, Hisie Lome
