I really liked this chapter, especially the little boat trip. Reminded me of something far less innocent I did once! :) Loved the swordfighting competition with Eomer. Doesn't he know that everyone in the Mark is going to lose on purpose...so as to not embarrass the King? Heh. Can't wait to see Faramir show off his archery skills. That Eomer has no clue...wood and string indeed. I'm a little bit of a Denethor apologist, so I was happy to see Faramir have at least some memory of a time when his father wasn't an ogre.

Author's reply

LOL, I forgot that everyone would lose! :D I'm sure they put up somewhat of a fight, anyway, so not to make it clear they were just copping out. Eomer's a tad oblivious, big lug that he is. :D Oh, yes, I want to paint Denethor as being a good father when Faramir was young and his mother was still alive. I think that being left alone with two young boys and a kingdom under a growing power of the Dark Lord was very giant responsibility. Maybe Denethor handled it in the only way he could, by holding onto his favorite child and becoming cold. More memories to come later. And more Boromir soon. :)

Elendiari22 · 5 May 2005 · Chapter 71: Festival

Well, it's taken me about two days to read this, but I must say, I love this chapter. The faire reminds me of the local Renaissance Faire, and that makes me grin. I love how Eomer was sword fighting, and I think that he should try shooting against Faramir. That could be fun. :) When is Aragorn coming back, and is Eomer's decision to let Faramir go home with him going to affect Eowyn's plans in any way? That has me curious. I'm also curious to know if Aragorn will make it to the faire. I can't wait to see what you come up with. Faramir asking Eowyn to help him with his students was sweet, but I'm surorised that there are no translations at the bottom of the page! What was it she said to the lad? Great chapter, and I hope you update soon!

Author's reply

Hehe, I don't think Eomer could even stand a chance in an archery competition with Faramir ;) Aragorn probably has returned to Edoras already, lol. Right now I suppose he's playing games with Imrahil and getting mighty bored. He could ride on to the festival...I'd not thought of it, but that would make a wonderful surprise for Arwen. :) We'll see. Sorry about the trans. She asked him basically, "What was the name of such a generous man?" and then she told him it was an honorable name. More students later, hehe, Faramir has one more idea of how to patch up things using Eowyn. Well, I've plenty of time to write this summer since I haven't gotten a job yet.

Raksha The Demon · 5 May 2005 · Chapter 71: Festival

I enjoyed this chapter better than the previous one...It was refreshing to have Faramir and Eowyn becoming more comfortable with being with each other and not having some kind of sexual activity. At this point, I'd prefer to see less of that - they've gone as far as they can go, in terms of new sexual experience without her doing oral sex (which, frankly, I really would prefer not to read about; can't remember if Faramir has done so yet in this story) or actual intercourse (which I really wanted, and thought should be, given who they are, saved for the wedding night)... I had thought that there would be some kind of danger in which Faramir and Eomer would both be involved. I think the story would benefit from a dose of actual physical peril (greater than Oswyn, that is); and then of course I'm a sucker for a good male-bonding episode. And I really, really, want to see Faramir show off his archery skills to the Rohirrim, and show that there's something he can do better than any of them... Nice flashback about little Faramir's bathing activities, and boats... Faramir isn't a good singer? There's no indication in Tolkien's books that he couldn't sing at least reasonably well; he probably wouldn't have had an interest in music, which JRRT mentioned, if he'd been a 'tuneless' singer... Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's reply

Heh, frankly, I don't want to write about any oral sex, either. Kinda skivvy. I think I did reassure Adamas in an earlier review that the sex will be on the wedding night. Faramir and Eomer's danger is happening after Eowyn leaves, which is very soon. Faramir gets to show off his archery probably next chapter, completely blowing them away. :) More bonding with Faramir and Eomer when Arwen and Eowyn go off to do their own thing. Well, you don't have to be able to sing to appreciate music, I think. Plus, Faramir is not as bad as he thinks.

Ice Queen · 4 May 2005 · Chapter 71: Festival

First of all, I have to say thank you! I was so happy to see that you updated the story that I actually had tears in my eyes. I loved the way you had Faramir and Eowyn interacting in such a relaxed manner and Eomer's eventual acceptance was beautiful. Can't wait for the next update (it's going to be good, I can feel it) so, keep writing! PS I have to say you have quite a talent for getting to the heart of sexual misgivings- Eowyn's are totally believable and the way you write about her and Faramir trying to get over them is wonderful. I seriously doubt many others could write what you write with such grace. KEEP WRITING! :)

Author's reply

You're welcome! :) And I will.

Werecat · 29 April 2005 · Chapter 0: All the Cats Are Out

Hi there. I'm pleased to inform you that your story has been nominated in the 2005 Middle Earth Fanfiction Awards. Please email me at the above address and let me know if you approve of the nomination. I can give you more details if you want. Regards, Werecat

Adamas · 21 April 2005 · Chapter 70: Release

Sorry I have been away for so long. I have been very busy, but I always manage to keep your story in the back of my mind. I so enjoy your work and in the past two months since I last wrote a review you have done some outstanding work. Your character development with Faramir/Eowyn/Eomer is wonderful. As I have said so many times before you are truly gifted with dialog, drama, and character development. This is only a suggestion so you can take it or leave it.. I would not push the whole making love. It would destroy what you have build with Faramir and the whole trust, patience etc... Save it for the wedding it will make that day that much more special. Call me old fashion but, I think it's the right thing to do. It follows what you have been building over these last several chapters. Well that was my opinion piece, so take it or leave it. I'm enjoy your work either way. Thank you for sharing.

Author's reply

Thank you! Oh, you've made my day with this...and I'll go ahead and tell you that you will *love* the next chapter. It's my favorite and I haven't even written down all the lovely scenes yet! And, I'll also go ahead and tell you that there will be no sex until the wedding. I agree that it would ruin their interaction, plus Eowyn needs more confidence that only being by herself can build. But darn it's going to be great getting to that point, isn't it? :D

Ice Queen · 17 April 2005 · Chapter 70: Release

Okay, I was just looking over some of your earlier chapters (I laugh, I cry, I love it :)) and I was wondering if you are going to resolve or continue with some of the things you mention in earlier chapters. I'm thinking specifically of Faramir's vision of Eomer and Eowyn during the hail storm, Imrahil's son's interest in Eowyn, her problems with the ladies of Gondor, etc. Keep updating!;)

Author's reply

Oh, all of the Imrahil and Co. early parts will be scrapped. They're horrid and don't go with the story. I'll put something fluffy, maybe cutesy Lothiriel/Eomer (Eomer totally oblivious, naturally) in its place. Ladies of Gondor will have to wait until Eowyn gets to Gondor, but they're not as bad as she thinks. More Grima backstory, more Eomer/Eowyn Faramir vision stuff later. :) Really, all the early chapters need work. I had no idea what this story was and what it would grow to be...AT ALL. Truthfully, I only originally planned for seven chapters. :P

Ice Queen · 10 April 2005 · Chapter 70: Release

Like it, keep going or I'll hunt you down! ;) One small request, but you have every right to ignore this as it's just a heartfelt suggestion, don't make the sensual parts between Faramir and Eowyn too carnal. I like what you've done so far- they are human and it makes this story what it is. :)

Lady of The Wood · 6 April 2005 · Chapter 70: Release

Mmmm lovely! That part at the beginning was very sensual. I really hope you have Faramir and Eowyn make love soon. I think it's time don't you? I don't think Faramir could or should have to bear much more and Eowyn really needs to finally be free of her fears and the last bits of what's holding her back. Aside from the sexy scenes I think that my fav. part was the dream with Boromir. I wasn't quite sure on the significance of it in relation to what had just happened in the story. I hope we get more on it later on. I hope that we get another update soon and get to that harvest festival. Goody goody!

Author's reply

Hmm, I've been toying with the idea that Faramir and Eowyn make love sometime during the Harvest festival. It might happen. I need to plan some more. More dream-Boromir later and more fleshing out of that. :) It really didn't fit, did it? Eh, it'll all work itself together later.

halewyn aredhel · 6 April 2005 · Chapter 70: Release

Great chapter! I actually had to read it in two installments, because it was so long. Not that I'm complaining, mind you! I feel for Eowyn...I think surrender is a pretty big deal in most relationships, and I love how you've captured all that uncertainty and misgiving in her character. Well done. Eomer and Faramir are still kinda angsty. I think they need to get drunk and go watch the Middle Earth equivalent of a football game together...and maybe Faramir can convince Eomer that Lothiriel is worth meeting. Have you got an Eomer-Lothiriel story planned too? Looking forward to the next chapter already.

Author's reply

This was the longest chapter so far. Really, I'm holding myself back, to tell the truth. I could write soooo much more, like what were Faramir and Eowyn saying to each other during dinner? And again while Eomer watches Faramir tack Thorn? Hmm? I just can't squeeze everything in! ;) Eomer and Faramir will do fun and manly activities at the festival. Faramir gets to show off his archer skills to a bunch of muscled up Rohirrim. :) I can't wait to write it. A Eomer/Lothiriel fic will probably happen immediately after this one ends.......(when is that? Nobody knows!) I don't think my conscious could let me *not* write it. Besides, I don't want to say goodbye, sniff.

Chibi-Kaz · 6 April 2005 · Chapter 70: Release

Waaahooo, another chapter. It was so funny, all the laughing and playing -- and familiar, as I happen to be lucky enough to have a ranger for my own. ;) I liked how this went, though I'm not sure about Faramir's self-condemnation over 'pushing' Eowyn; I haven't thought that he's pushed her too much, and by the same token, if she would just EXPLAIN to him everything she went through, with creepy Grima et al, then he would understand better. I am, however, getting more than a little irritated with Eowyn -- she's being a tease. She's lucky Faramir does love her so much! I love that Eomer is struggling with a crush on Arwen. I also like the none-too-subtle pushes about Lothiriel -- I hope you find time to introduce her into the story, I'd like to see Eomer suddenly dealing with Imrahil, the brothers AND Faramir as Eomer tries to woo Lothiriel! Payback, ha ha ha! BTW: If Faramir decks some Rider for being too leering/familiar with Eowyn, wouldn't that UP his standing? *evil grin* Cheers, and can't wait for more! --Chibi-kaz

Author's reply

You have a ranger? Even a modern one? I pout in your direction, lol. Faramir really shouldn't have been so hard on himself, I agree. But that's part of what he does at the moment. He'll get over it. Yes, Eowyn should explain more, but she's not good at communciation, is she? She'll learn. Arwen will help, then Lothiriel, free-spirited girl that she is, lol. I am giggling right now as I've already written in my head how the first meeting between Lothiriel and Eomer goes...I can't WAIT to write and post it. Seriously. :D It's laugh out loud funny. Aww, Eomer's so adorable, isn't he? His and Arwen's chemistry worries me because Aragorn and Arwen's hasn't come close to this so far, plus I need to recreate the effect and greater with Lothiriel.......gah. I just have to take my Faramir's advice and trust that I can do it. LOL, I hadn't planned on Faramir decking anyone else anytime soon. Oswyn does wander back into the story, but that's later. Hmmm. *evil grin* They would respect that no-bullshit attitude.....

Rohirric Warrior · 6 April 2005 · Chapter 70: Release

Excellent chapter as always. :) You astound me with your writing, my lady. You have greater confidence and understanding of what it takes to love than... just about everyone I know. You write it all so well and clearly, the truth that almost no one these days sees. I see no problem with you one day becoming a professional writer, and I look forward to seeing your name and books on bestseller lists. :) I had something more full and coherent to write, but alas.... such is what happens when you think of something in bed at 7:00 a.m. Anyway, I sympathize greatly with both Faramir and Eowyn. Getting it done for the sake of getting it done.... no, it's not what he wants. It's not what any good man wants. However, I can understand her feelings. She wants to give him pleasure, and give in to it herself, but can't get past the last block. If only she understood that it would, in fact, be the same for him. Everything about a man is there, unguarded, for a woman to see as well. Hmmmmm, though I suppose we are technically expected not to admit that, for some reason. In any case, she just needs to give herself time, and wait until she is ready. He's willing to wait for her; she should be able to see that. As for Faramir pushing her... well, I can see how he can think that. Though he really wasn't...not conciously, anyway. I agree with how he feels his own need to slow down... no sense in risking making her feel more uncomfortable. Perhaps in Faramir's case it would be wisest to let her make the first move. As he was thinking, "There is no way I can help her now," there might not be any way he can. Other than, of course, to wait and let her sort everything out for herself. Anyway, looking forward to the festival, and more Faramir and Eowyn. And Gaer. You know, it's getting where I laugh every time I first see that red-headed man's name mentioned in a chapter. :) Hope we don't have to wait too long before updates, though I know you are busy with school. :)

Author's reply

Hey, I've thought up many main parts of chapters in bed at 7 a.m...3 a.m... :) You've said it all better than I can. Thank you! I'm planning for Eowyn to resolve the majority of her issues at the festival, then the entirety of them in Gondor...which gives her time to be independent and gain confidence in a new land. By the time they reunite she'll see things differently. The trouble is how do I resolve Faramir? Eomer ends up playing a huge part in that as they *finally* become real friends. Hmm..you laugh everytime Gaer shows up? Good thing I've let him come to Gondor then! I only wish I could put half the effort of this story into my school work. But frankly, its not anywhere near as rewarding as All for Her feels.

Laura · 6 April 2005 · Chapter 70: Release

Lovely as always. THANK YOU for writing this wonderful story. I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

foalinga · 5 April 2005 · Chapter 70: Release

*scowls darkly* There better be another chapter soon! Haha, beautiful as always... love the intimate moments between Eowyn and Faramir. I'm still loving this story! Can't wait for the harvest festival. Keep up the amazing writing, or I may have to... to... beg and grovel at your feet...

Author's reply

LOL, I write as fast as I can! This chapter was over 19000 words...that takes time, plus editing and yes, I do creep out into the sunshine every once and a while ;) Those songs average 1 1/2 to 2 hours each, too. Ah, well. Since you and others send me such glowing reviews to spur me, I'll start on the next chapter as soon as I can!

Elendiari22 · 5 April 2005 · Chapter 70: Release

Bliss. This is so sweet, I do love your Faramir and Eowyn. They seemed so cozy this chapter, when they were fallng asleep. Eowyn has a ways to go, but I get the feeling that you'll resolve that at the festival. I can only hope so, at least. I like how the Riders convinced her to sing for them. They're going to have a fun ride. Forgive me if this isn't a coherent review; I'll review again later, msot likely, because I'll likely think of what I wanted to say at an innoportune moment later tonight. :)

Author's reply

Aww. I will resolve things soon. Thankfully you've all been so patient! Things will get even more fun at the festival. :D

Rohirric Warrior · 5 April 2005 · Chapter 69: Smile

You're posting today!? Damn, and I have to go to work now and then to class tommorow. *Whimper* Well, I'll get to it when I can. Can't wait, in fact. :) Maybe I'll just skip doing my homework tonight and indulge myself. *snickers*

Author's reply

LOL, lurking, are we? I just posted. Hope you like it!

Ice Queen · 5 April 2005 · Chapter 69: Smile

Please continue this story! It's one of the more creative and well woven stories about my favorite couple and I'd hate it if you just stopped.

Author's reply

Don't worry, I'm not stopping! I'm posting today.

foalinga · 3 April 2005 · Chapter 69: Smile

Hey there. =) I absolutely LOVE your story. It's definitely the most authentic tale I have ever read, and when I think back on LotR I always find myself incorporating your facts on Faramir, Eowyn, and Eomer! I hope you update soon, and continue writing about Faramir and Eowyn until they build Ithilien, have children... etc. And incoporate some more erotic scenes. I'm loving it all. Like this past chapter, when Eomer and Arwen share feelings, I felt like I was going to cry. Actually, throughout this whole thing when there were sad parts I felt like I was going to cry. All in all, you're a most amazing writer... you have me deeply feeling the same way that the characters feel. Also, I love Eomer (he's my precious), and I would like to see some Eomer/Lothiriel story going on here! :D A seperate story paralleling All for Her would be much loved by me. Especially dear Eomer's reaction to the Sea. Thank you again for writing such a captivating tale. Please update soon! -Much Luff from Foalinga.

Author's reply

I'm updating today, I just have to run through the chapter one more time to check it. :) I'll try to add more erotic scenes. The next chapter has a little bit, but mainly its just goofing and fun. Oh, I'd not even thought of Eomer's reaction to the Sea! I've thought of a parallel story and I doubt that even I could stand not writing Eomer and Lothiriel's relationship, lol. Thank you for such a great review.

Lady of The Wood · 3 April 2005 · Chapter 69: Smile

Hooray I finally got a chance to read this chapter. When you updated I read the sex scene and then didn't have time to read any more. The sex scene was really good! Here's looking forward to the Harvest Festival. I liked the scene with Arwen and Eomer, a lot. I especially liked how she told him that he would be alone until he decides not to be. I do hope you write that Eomer fic once this one's done. Do you realise you've been writing this for over a year?! Whew! I loved the chapter and I'm now getting very axious to have the scene shifted to Gondor. I hope that's coming soon. If you haven't already take the time to read that link that one of the other reviewers posted about the Faramir that you can order. It's very funny! LOTW

Author's reply

Heh, I want a bath with Faramir, too. Gondor is coming fairly soon. Eowyn will leave Rohan right after the Harvest festival.

Rohirric Warrior · 17 March 2005 · Chapter 69: Smile

I am such a horrible reviewer..... *Falls down on knees* Please forgive me for not getting around to give my comments. :) Anyway, lets see if I can say everything I want to say about the last two chapters...well, most prominently, I'm very happy Eowyn has decided not to retreat anymore. I was going to say, after that *moment* in the bathtub, that if she retreated again....well, things would have just been way to angsty for my taste. Glad to see three steps forward instead of two steps forward, one step back. :) I was laughing my *** off at the song of Neir's in the last chapter. "Gaer's sister was riding me all night," indeed. At the comment after Gaer corrected how she's a virtuous girl... you know, I'm getting much better at reading all this Rohirric. :) Are we going to see Gaer's sister? She must be really beautiful for Neir to carry on about her like that. Oh, and I also fell out of my seat when I read Gaer say, "We've tried that before, prancing around without a shirt...or even less." Poor Eowyn.... or maybe not. Who am I to say whether she would or would not have enjoyed that? :) I didn't know it was possible to like Eomer any more than I already do, but it is. He's finally beginning to accept the way things are.... I mean, he *had* to know about the foray in Theoden's chambers...they weren't exactly being very secretive about it. Right now he just needs Lothiriel....poor guy. :) I think the length of this story shall surpass The Lord of the Rings itself. Not that I'm complaining. Please keep writing more. Who cares about closure when you write such great stuff? :)

Author's reply

Aw, I will forgive you because I have to give a speech today in communications class and a review was just what I needed!! Argh, I dread this. Anyway, I'm very glad about Eowyn, too. This story can take a less angsty tone for a while :) And Faramir will meet Gaer's sister later so you can know all about her. She's a fiesty girl. lol, Nier's song was cute, huh? I wrote that in about a minute. Aww, I think Eomer's really coming around. I adore his character. Lots of happy Eomer in the next chapter. :D

mirthor · 13 March 2005 · Chapter 69: Smile

An update! Wonderful! (I am not complaining - as long and amazing as your chapters are, I am grateful.) Lovely almost-consummation & nice to see that as unique as Faramir is, in the end (in this tale, at least), he is still just a man. Good that they were able to have this time together & that Eowyn didn't back down afterward. I kept thinking by the end of the chapter she'd balk, destroying him further - I'm glad she kept her faith in their closeness. Are you heading somewhere with Arwen & Eomer? I'm certain I'm reading more into it than I ought to, but for a moment there... I really enjoy Eomer, almost as much as F & E (can't say I enjoy Arwen anywhere near as much here). Will we see his courtship with Lothiriel? I'm wondering how you're going to play that, for you've gotten into his head so well, I'm assuming you'll do so when they meet, but at the same time - this tale is ultimately about Faramir & Eowyn. Which brings me to another question: how far are you going with this tale? They're getting on so well now, I fear for the end. I do assume we'll get to the wedding, but then how far? Building Ithilien ( or will that be before?)? Children? It's been a while since Faramir's had any visions or thoughts of his brother or father - I know his chat with Eowyn in the loft @Edoras was a bit of a breakthrough for him, but I'm guessing his heart can't be healed in one afternoon. Thanks for sharing your tale!

Author's reply

Aww, Faramir is a man and he's not perfect...well, he's close, lol. I love this little bit of Faramir/Eowyn. :) No, there's nothing but friendship between Eomer and Arwen though they do have good chemistry going in this chapter. ;) I need to get Aragorn back into this story, soon, I think. As for how long this story goes....hehe. I don't know but don't fear, the wedding itself is far enough off. Eomer deserves his own story with Lothiriel and in it we might visit snippets of Faramir/Eowyn life from his POV as he travels in and out of the City. Okay, Faramir and his heartbreak will be addressed more, but aren't you glad we had a happy chapter? I am, lol. He has little happy memories with his father and his mother to remember in the next chapter. Who hasn't gotten a little tipsy and reminiced? He has a long way to go to reconcile himself, yes, but Faramir's getting a respite, here. :)

double light star · 12 March 2005 · Chapter 69: Smile

Ive been checking every day to see if you'd posted the next chapter, and was so happy when I saw it last night!! phew yes, I cant help feeling some relief on behalf of Faramir that he's got physical and emotional resolution in his relationship with Eowyn. And good for Arwen that she's taken Eomer in hand, someone needed to!! Thankyou so much, and looking forward to the next chapter in anticipation!! I don't have cyber cookies but I do have this link to a fun take on Faramir which I thought you might like (every home should have one..) http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1619395/1/

Wow. What a great chapter. I love how comfortable Faramir and Eowyn are with each other now. Oh, and the Arwen-Eomer conversation brought me to tears...very moving. So when do we get the next chapter? Can't wait!

Author's reply

Arwen-Eomer conversation brought me to tears, too. I thought it up very suddenly and it was so good I had to run inside in the middle of the afternoon to type it up. I love the way those two interact...now if I could just get Arwen to have as much chemistry with her husband, lol! I'll start on the next chapter soon as I can! I have a speech to screw up on Wed but otherwise I've got a pretty clear schedule. ;)

Whew! It got REALLY warm in here, didn't it?!? :D My gods woman, I don't think I could survive the wedding night! I like how this was romantic and erotic, and then sad and wistful, then playful and fun. You really know how to take the read on a wild ride. I cnn't wait for more. Can I bribe you with something? Cybercookies? Faramir plushies? :D Cheers, cherie, Chibi-Kas

Author's reply

LOL. Hee, I pity the women who have to bail that tub out. ;) (Best dictator voice): Faramir plushies! Now!

Elendiari22 · 11 March 2005 · Chapter 69: Smile

Squee!! The long wait was worth it; this is a briliant chapter. The title is very apt, I think. I'm glad that Arwen is talking Eomer around. He does need to take a year off and go see the world. I like how you got Lothiriel into the story, too, and Eomer's thoughts on needing a wife. I hope he does go to the sea, and I remember some discussion about previous chapters of having Eomer learn the Sea-life before he can marry Lothiriel. Faramir and Eowyn are so cute together. I love Faramir's declaration that he will order the women to follow Eowyn's lead. I can just see Eowyn turning Minas Tirith on its ear, and Arwen gleefully going along with her. Wild times in Minas Tirith with those two, oh yes. :) Eowyn's song to Faramir was beautifully written; I envy you your abilities with Old English and poetry. I'm excited to see what this drinking game entails, and how hung-over those two will be on the ride to the festival. Keep it up, and update soon!

Author's reply

:) I love the Arwen/Eomer thing but....I'm facing a small problem, lol. Arwen and Eomer have more chemistry in my story then Arwen and Aragorn! I have to remedy that soon, I think. Faramir's so cute, isn't he? I'm glad I can finally get them together all cutesy. :) Eowyn and Arwen will turn everything around, lol. Poor Aragorn's going to be running in circles trying to figure it out. I love that song, there's only one other I like more. It took me 2 hours to write/translate and I didn't have to change a word. The Harvest Song is my favorite and that will definitely appear when they go to the festival (and it will be Eowyn to Faramir again ;) ) Next chapter you'll get a children's song, though! :) Short and sweet.
