Gentle Hobbit
Telling stories through fanfiction allows us, as readers, to reflect upon a tale that has had great meaning for us and, in turn, lets us explore that meaning and express our own interpretations. The original tale, and our stories and interpretations, together weave a larger, more encompassing, truth which then becomes another experience for future readers. This is my purpose when I write stories, and when I read them (whether "fanfiction" or "original.") I am a 30-something lover of the English language, and I take great pleasure in storytelling.
