It is really nice to see Iworwen's thoughts, her point of view is quite rare! I do hope that she lived to see Aragorn bring peace, and to see her great-grandchildren. Author Reply: It's wonderful to have a good reason to imagine her thoughts here, Someone. Thank you so!

What a special and wise woman. How this child must have been treasured! Author Reply: We know that both she and her husband were known to be subject to foresight. Indeed, I'm certain that while he was with his parents' people Aragorn was treasured indeed.

I love Faramir's dreams here. I always wondered when Boromir and Denethor had their conversation about the thousand years. Author Reply: It was a delight to find a context in which to present that remembered conversation, and who better than Faramir to embody Faith? Thanks so, Linda! And a joyful Christmas to you!

That is very interesting! We have three people and three different opinions here: On the one hand Denethor who does not want anything to change. He is content with being steward, but only because of his belief that there will never be a king again. Then we have Boromir who comes to the conclusion that there is no living heir to the king and wants his father to be the new ruler (and then himself of course). And we have Faramir. Like Boromir he is not content with just waiting. But he had this dream about the Tree and the King and somehow he knows that it is true. With that attitude Faramir is the luckiest of all three! Author Reply: Both the luckiest and the truest to what is meant to be, I think. Thanks for the comments and for sharing your perceptions, Andrea! A lovely holiday to you and all you love!

Faramir! Hes almost as special Aragorn but in his own ways. Lovely and heartwarming story❤️ Author Reply: Oh, yes--the perfect foil he will one day prove to Aragorn's hands and service, and in doing so he will best serve the Reunited Kingdom. Thanks so, Marianel!

Just like children -- that single-minded push toward an obvious, inconvenient conclusion, either ignoring or missing the warning signs that it's not at all what Ada wants to hear ... :-P Faramir's joy in the thought of the King come again is endearing and refreshing. Even Boromir seems willing to dig for the truth -- though his reasons are very different. Denathor, though, has ever been proud and just doesn't want to hear it ... Very interesting conversation! Thanks for writing ... Author Reply: And thank you for the comments--I am so happy when it becomes apparent that others perceive precisely what I'd hoped to convey! Denethor doesn't want for life in Gondor to change from what it's been for the last millenium, after all. But life has a way of sending us all too often the challenges and changes we just don't want to face. Thanks so much, PSW!

I love Faramir's faith and hope - and it was well rewarded! His first sight of the king - the dream become flesh and looking into his eyes - is such a wonderful part in the tale. Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: I know, Antane. He has the clearest foresight of the three of them, and he does not fear what he sees, but looks to embrace it when the proper time comes. Thank you so, and a joyful Christmas to you!
